Chapter 1712: Chapter 150: A Different Story (5)
Having a new sensory organ was undoubtedly an astonishing experience, but what truly excited the celestial life, Tang Luo’s soul, was the hope he saw after awakening to the touch of spiritual power.
If the enhancement of spiritual power could lead to a system similar to the sense of touch, then could he possibly regain the lost emotions of happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy through continuous training of his spiritual power?
Compared to the grand undertaking of becoming an incarnation of the world, his celestial life now had a new goal—to retrieve the lost emotions.
As the ripples of spiritual power continued to expand, more and more tactile feedback poured into his consciousness, and this thought of seeking more emotions grew even stronger.
He was tired of the emotionless state of consciousness as a celestial being, tired of the endless cycle in the lonely universe.
If initially training his spiritual power was to hasten self-destruction, Tang Luo now had a more intense goal—to find the lost emotions!
As the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Once the primary consciousness in the Fuling Star Domain set its direction, the isolated main emotions by the Charming Eyes surged violently.
They broke free from the shackles of the bloodline, surged into the Fuling Star Domain, but were blocked outside the black orb of soul.
These emotions, attracted by the intense spiritual power, buzzed around the black orb like headless flies, unable to break through the formidable barrier of self-nature conglomerate, eventually fading into the cosmos as regrets.
To any observer, it seemed that the soul was keeping the surging emotions at bay, but deep within the unseen soul, where the emotions collided with the soul, some subtle electric arcs, almost invisible, were quietly emerging.
The journey of the celestial life, Tang Luo, continues!
...
Lin Chuan Plain
Within the barrier shrouded by the constellations, a brutal chase was unfolding.
The Blood Beasts, tamed by the elites of the Yin-Yang Imperial Palace, were encircling and intercepting the white-furred, six-tailed Fox Demon.
It was evident that this Fox Demon was extremely fierce; every swing of its six tails brought forth powerful elements of ice, fire, wind, thunder, and Illusion Techniques.
Had it been a one-on-one fight, the middle-ranked savage Blood Beast would be no match for the Fox Demon, but it was overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies.
Watching from the control hub above the dome, several monarchs felt disappointed as the Fox Demon they had worked so hard to acquire was repeatedly injured, while the Blood River below showed no sign of activity.
"It seems this attempt has failed."
Just as everyone was contemplating this, they suddenly noticed the previously quiet Blood River erupt with twelve blood fountains shooting into the sky.
Splitting open the group of Blood Beasts surrounding the Fox Demon, the Twelve Blood Rakshasas appeared, filled with murderous intent.
For the first time, the Twelve True Spirits, known as the Heavenly Demons, appeared not for brutal slaughter, but for protection.
But the Fox Demon, unaware of the Blood Rakshasas’ intent, mistook them for powerful enemies. Ignoring its injuries, it forcibly gathered spiritual power, wielding its long tails to strike at the twelve Heavenly Demons.
Ultimately, the gap in realm and strength was too great; the twelve Heavenly Demons ignored the resistance of the Fox Demon. The lead Rakshasa directly captured it, while the other eleven Blood Rakshasas each displayed their abilities, keeping the tide-like Blood Beast army at bay.
Protecting the battered Fox Demon within their formation, they fought and retreated towards the Blood River.
From the control hub in the sky, the monarchs watched the scene of the Twelve True Spirits withdrawing with wide-eyed astonishment.
"Incredible, the Blood God actually took the bait. How did you do it?"
Wang You voiced the doubts of the gathered monarchs to Wang Chan.
"The principle is actually quite simple."
Wang Chan said with a smile: "The reason you all feel this trap is full of flaws is simply that you are people with great wisdom."
"Detecting flaws, weighing pros and cons, and repeated reasoning—these are unique characteristics of the Human Race. The Blood God, a being of only chaos and slaughter, does not possess such intelligence; it has only two thought processes."
As he spoke, Wang Chan extended two fingers, confidently explaining as if he didn’t care that he stood before sovereigns of mankind.
"If the Fox King has a past with it, it will surely make a move to save him. If there is no such relationship, then it will ignore the other’s besieged death."
"As for why the Fox Demon appeared inside the barrier at this time, whether there is a greater conspiracy behind it, that’s not something it will analyze."
"Because, at the moment, there is something it cares about more."
Wang Chan’s smile widened, the corners of his lips hinting at countless threads of unfathomable mystery.

Blood God World
Rising waves of blood congealed into grim facial features against the dark red sky, and on the islands that emerged from the blood sea, the Emperor Rakshasa, holding down the six-tailed Fox Demon, bowed towards the spiritual prominence of the Blood God World.
Clearly, the Blood God at this moment was not concerned with such ceremonious gestures.
A beast claw, condensed entirely of Blood Fiend, sprung forth from the sea of blood, and lifted the scar-riddled Fox Demon high into the air.
The myriad of wounds on its body were stained by the Blood Fiend, causing the Fox Demon to let out bursts of mournful wailing.
"Speak, why do you have the aura of the Qingqiu Fox King on you?"
In the Demon Race, where survival of the fittest reigns supreme, discussing racial loyalty is indeed incongruous.
Many demons even prey on their own kind, and as for familial and blood ties, they are mostly just observed during the young years of demons.
Like the eagle race who, upon reaching adulthood, are driven out of their nests by their parents to confront all dangers and forage for food on their own.
Affection for the house and its crows? Such feelings the Blood God does not have; it abducted the Fox Demon due to sensing that incredibly familiar aura on it.
The Fox Demon, who has never directly faced a deity, dared not conceal anything from the Blood God, and thus recounted all of its recent experiences in detail.
Originally, it was a king fox nurtured within the Qingqiu World by the Beast Taming Sect, its daily task was perpetual sowing.
King foxes as sturdy as it were plentiful in the Qingqiu World; they would happily toil until they could toil no more, and then they would be taken away by Tamers.
Over the past thousand years, the Fox Demon race had grown accustomed to such a life. As for rebellion?
That was out of the question. The Tamers of the Qingqiu World treated them extremely well, cared for them from a young age, played with them, and groomed their fur.
The current Fox Demon race was many times stronger than when they had to battle various ferocious demons.
However, as a king fox of the Demon Race, he was a bit different from ordinary Fox Demons; he was smarter and more favored by the Tamers.
He didn’t need complicated beast taming seals to understand and comply with the Tamers’ commands, and because of that, he received the most frequent and abundant rewards in the entire king fox group.
He thought his good days would last until the end of time, but recently, for some reason, the Tamers took them away one by one, saying they were to be tested.
Already accustomed to obedience, the Fox Demon race naturally did not resist their Tamers, but as he was selected, things seemed to change.
According to the Tamers’ discussions, they seemed to have discovered a Demon King’s cave, and inside was a sacred soul belonging to the Qingqiu Fox Demon race.
What these Tamers were doing was seeking out the Fox Demon body most suited to that king’s soul, to snatch the soul and use it to house the soul of the Fox King.
The Fox Demon, terrified by the aura of the powerful demon, spilled the beans about his ordeal like spilling beans.
Perhaps it was due to sheer terror, it failed to notice that the face formed from the blood sea overhead showed an anxious expression, and the waves in the Blood God World grew even more violent.
...
Long Valley, Qingqiu World
Several white-robed healers were huddled around a collapsed Beast Taming Sect tamer from the Mao Sect in the Qingqiu World.
The healers were treating the appalling tear wound on the patient’s neck, fine bite marks extending from the back of the neck to the Adam’s apple, as if two crocodile shears had clamped into the neck simultaneously, with the four deepest punctures at the artery sinking several inches deep.
Such a severe injury would be fatal for a cultivator from the Mortal Realm, but for someone from the Fierce Realm, it was merely an external injury.
Yet the tamer sitting on the ground had a face full of sorrow as if he had lost something precious.
The other tamers around him, instead of offering words of comfort, teased him incessantly.
"Tsk tsk tsk, so vicious. If that fox hadn’t been untrained in combat, this bite could have broken his neck. Even if he’s healed, he might only be able to train beasts with his head crooked."
"Hahahaha, who’s to say otherwise?"
Another tamer laughed out loud, then mockingly in another voice said, "Demons too have feelings. As long as you are willing to put in the effort, they can sense it and only then can you become intimately bonded battle partners, pfft..."
Halfway through, the tamer burst out laughing, clasping his belly with one hand and pointing at the seated tamer on the ground with the other, mocking him, "What now, your intimately bonded partner just listened to some exchanged information then dared to attack your weak spot and flee, do you still believe your dearly held principle of trust is more reliable than beast seals?"
Listing to his colleagues’ mockery, the face of the tamer on the ground grew even more desolate.
Months ago, Wang Fuling had sent a letter to the Beast Taming Sect, asking for help in the Qingqiu World, and he never imagined that his king fox would be the one selected, and he certainly didn’t expect it to end so tragically.
Compared to the fatal bite on his neck, the heartache from being backstabbed by the carefully nurtured Fox Demon was much worse.
No matter how severe the injury, it will heal, but if the deeply cherished path is wrong, how to make amends?
Compared to this pain, the ridicule of treacherous friends hardly counted as something difficult to endure.
Perhaps because the mocking failed to elicit a response and so felt dull, or perhaps because their friend’s expression was too gloomy, the two tamers who had been taking turns to tease him exchanged a glance and then ceased their mockery, beginning to speak more seriously.
"Beasts are beasts, no matter how much care you put into nurturing them, they are still demons. Survival of the fittest is ingrained in their blood. If you ever go against their nature even once, they will forget all your kindness. That is why our Ancestors passed down the beast seals, to teach through another kind of pain that following commands is more important than instinct!"
A tamer with a dragon-serpent embroidered on his back crouched down to look the injured in the eye, saying earnestly, "In terms of talent, you are the best among us. It’s not too late to turn back now."
