Chapter 941 - 941 483 International Exchange Meeting (4100)

Chapter 941: 483 International Exchange Meeting (4100) Chapter 941: 483 International Exchange Meeting (4100) July 16, the second day after the Clinic arrived in East Sea County.

In the freshness of the morning, when the air was moist and the mist had just dispersed, at the former location of the East Sea City healing house, several black-clothed robust men, obviously clothed in combat uniforms, were engaged in their daily morning exercises. Their heavy footsteps pounded on the earth, making deep boot impressions in the soil and sending pebbles scattering in all directions.

A portion of the Clinic’s doctors found a quieter spot, either sitting cross-legged or assuming the horse stance of traditional martial arts training, deeply focused. Their sturdy chests expanded and contracted rhythmically, the breath exhaled through their nostrils was forceful and loud. Heartbeat, breathing, and the pace of circulating blood constantly stimulated the Demon Seed within as they reached a particular frequency.

Magnetic fields of varying strengths released, stacking upon each other.

Birds, ants, snakes, and insects all dared not approach, avoiding that area altogether.

Other Clinic doctors occupied an open field.

Each took off their shirts to prevent damage, revealing row upon row of tawny, muscular upper bodies under the morning sunshine. Each one resembled a bodybuilder who had trained for decades specifically for competition, their rock-hard muscles comparable to stones and armor. In addition, their bodies were uniformly covered with lines of black tattoos, exuding a fierce and eerie charm.

Seen from afar, they resembled totems of ancient, untamed tribes.

They carried an aura of wildness, antiquity, and a powerful sense of bloodiness.

Amongst these valiant tribal warriors, a handful of younger and thinner trainees stood trembling, looking around uncertainly, swallowing hard.

The leading lean youth, Lais, pursed his lips, his footsteps slow. Suddenly, a series of thumping sounds echoed by his ear, and turning his head, he saw two robust men sparring several meters away. They resembled two brawny black bears, their blows landing on each other’s sturdy bodies and rippling like waves of meat, with sweat spraying in all directions. Shoulder against shoulder, the force of their impact caused the surrounding ground to tremble, sending gravel bouncing and leaving footprints behind.

“Such brutal sparring… Is this really not an actual fight?”

Lais’s eyelids twitched as he glanced around at the multitude of Clinic doctors, only to realize that the bout he’d just seen was, in fact, very restrained and polite. Most of the sparring medics were more intensely engaged, throwing punches that seemed as massive as siege hammers.

He could clearly see a punch landing on the chest, but the back would suddenly explode with the imprint of a fist, sweat flying out, leaving behind a fleeting phantom of a fist in mid-air. It looked like they were out for each other’s lives!

And in the fiercest of battles that escalated to heated bloodshed, blood was actually drawn. The surface of a chest was raw with bloody claw marks, half of a face swollen and bruised, with eyelids bleeding profusely. Others had fingers broken, flinging them wildly during punches, clearly revealing torn red muscles and white tendons. Sometimes, broken bones would be flung out and fall to the ground.

“Are they trying to kill each other?!”

Lais shuddered, a bad premonition rising in his heart: “The so-called training that follows for us, it wouldn’t also be like this, right? Please no, people could die! They really could die… definitely could die…”

However, some things do not change simply according to a person’s will.

The doctors who previously stood guard at the East Sea County healing house all welcomed a comprehensive transformation. Demon Seeds and Demon Idol totems were employed, and they were integrated into the main forces for joint training, allowing the fierce and brutal atmosphere to infiltrate and stain them.

Casio didn’t need minions like wolves who hunted powerful monsters through pack tactics. In his view, that was ultimately a display of weakness. Casio desired each of his subordinates to become monsters themselves, more brutal, more ferocious, and more frenzied than their enemies.

Only then would those creatures of darkness truly feel fear.

Of course, this approach had both advantages and disadvantages. While the Clinic invoked fear in dark creatures, their own people would also feel endangered and frightened.

There could even be estrangement, avoidance, and distrust toward the Clinic as an institution.

This may affect the image of the Clinic to some extent.

But no matter, a fist is always bigger than a face, that is the truth.

Time ticked by, and as the morning exercises neared their end.

Outside the healing house’s church, several men dressed in Hunters Association uniforms were walking toward it, led by one of the original members of the East Sea County healing house. Apparently, there had been some changes at the East Sea County healing house yesterday. Someone from Headquarters had arrived, so they needed to coordinate with the East Sea County branch of the Hunters Association and possibly support upcoming actions.

Seconds later, the group stood at the courtyard gate, the former member of the East Sea County healing house opened the door. Several backbones of the East Sea County branch of the Hunters Association looked up and were instantly struck by a scene that seemed straight out of hell.

The breath of several core members hitched, and they subtly shifted backwards.

Within the courtyard, nearly a hundred exercising black-clad giants were distracted by the noise and turned to look in unison. Pairs of bloodshot eyes cast their gaze, feeling like a thousand arrows piercing through the body; the sensation pricked at their skin, as a sense of danger and oppression seemed to transform the air into a giant hand pressing down on their hearts, causing a chill to run down their spines.

“This…”

For a moment, the several core members of the Hunters Association at the courtyard entrance hesitated to advance, pacing undecidedly back and forth. They seemed reluctant to enter the enclosure of the piercing gazes from the black-clothed robust men—it made them feel seriously unsafe.
