Chapter 911 - 911 470 Devils Book withered (4600)_3

Chapter 911: 470 Devil’s Book withered (4600)_3 Chapter 911: 470 Devil’s Book withered (4600)_3 Anthony and Fiona, prodigies who reached the Fighter Realm by their thirties, naturally couldn’t miss such a grand era. Thus they left their Sects and headed toward the southeast of the Empire. Unfortunately, they ran into each other halfway, old grudges resurfacing; they fought fiercely as a result.

Of course, they are now prisoners under Casio. However, Casio doesn’t plan to do anything to them, as he himself will be traveling to the Empire’s southeast region after a while. Perhaps he could use their identities to attend the so-called International Exchange Meeting for some excitement and see what the situation was like.

Such a grand occasion would likely attract the attention of the Door Organization. Casio thought he might encounter a few more Kings and slaughter them to practice his combat skills.

After a moment of silence, by the Artificial Lake, he slowly bowed his head.

Casio glanced at the Devil’s Book in his hands and then at the chaotic scene around him. Half a second later, he reached out and pressed on the Gems again, filling two with the energy of the Disaster Essence.

Casio’s gaze was cold, his expression tinged with mockery. He wanted to see whether, after summoning the Meteorite, the Devil’s Book could still bring him more danger. He was curious to know the limits of this broken book.

Without hesitation, Casio asked the book a question about the location of some precious resources in the World of Calamities. Soon after, the Gems flickered and then went out. The Devil’s Book gained a new page.

He did not start reading but closed the book and quietly observed his surroundings. Based on past experiences, two Gems would create a disaster effect similar to a Fighter Plane crashing and exploding, causing a huge commotion.

A few breaths later, the hairs on Casio’s skin suddenly stood on end.

He felt a threat, as if something in the air around him was gathering strength, ready to impose an evil Curse. That cold, watchful sensation was like a Poisonous Snake lurking in darkness.

“I underestimated it; it can still cast a Curse on me…”

“This mysteriously sourced Devil’s Book probably contains tremendous secrets, even able to manipulate Natural Disasters at will…”

A heavy feeling settled in Casio’s heart. He became cautious, his Muscles tense, ready for Bad Luck to strike. But after a long time, nothing happened, as if the earlier sense of danger was merely an Illusion. He frowned slightly and waited in place for a moment longer.

In the azure sky, a White Bird flew slowly, its wings flapping.

Plop, a large blob of bird droppings fell straight down from high altitude, seeming to be on a trajectory to land precisely on Casio’s head. Splat! A purple Light Wave flashed and instantly vaporized the droppings, turning the White Bird in the sky into Blood Mist. A few white Feathers drifted down leisurely.

Casio looked up at the Feathers and then down at the Devil’s Book in his hand. He suddenly laughed, a laugh born of exasperation. He had assumed the item had some unbelievable powers, thus he was cautious. Was this all it had to offer? Was it truly useless?

A single Meteorite had fallen in a short time, and the disaster abilities were drained?

Hehehe… Well then, do not blame me if I am unkind…

Casio directly asked another specific question about the World of Calamities. After getting the answer, he planned to ask more, but the Devil’s Book went on strike. There was no response to his questions, nor did any new pages appear. Only the two Gems, which continued to charge, were glowing quietly.

“Hah, it started playing dead right away…”

Casio chuckled coldly but then saw another White Bird, thinner than the first, flying in the sky, dropping another, smaller blob of droppings.

Just as he was about to repeat his previous action, he whimsically lifted the Devil’s Book in his hand. Plop! The white bird dropping landed perfectly, right into the mouth of the Skull Head Logo on the hardcover.

Instantly, the Five Gems flickered wildly, as if an insulted person became furious, their expressions changing rapidly before suddenly dimming.

All the miraculous colors faded, turning into a thin, tattered book.

It was deflated.

The next second, the dangerous Aura Casio had felt inside vanished without a trace. He quietly looked at the deflated Devil’s Book in his hand, speechless at the stubborn mechanism it had to cast a Curse no matter what. Now it had received its comeuppance.
