Chapter 839 - 839 436 strong enemies (4000)_2
Chapter 839: 436 strong enemies (4000)_2 Chapter 839: 436 strong enemies (4000)_2 From their appearance alone, they looked menacing, with black lines on their faces similar to tattoos. Their physiques were also unusually strong, even deformed, certainly not resembling normal humans.
On the wooden corridor of the second floor.
Casio stood in the suspended walkway, arms crossed over his chest, expressionlessly looking downwards. It had cost him a hundred Magic Core Seeds to bring out all the prisoners from the Wild Beast’s Den to serve as his capable subordinates.
These guys’ combat prowess was unquestionable; they were all elite hunters with extensive battle experience. The saturation level of their Holy Marks had basically reached its limit; otherwise, they wouldn’t have entered the stage of Dark Biological Transformation.
Furthermore, enhanced by their transformation into Wild Beasts, they could definitely be described as a ferocious force. Of course, they weren’t without flaws. Although Casio had dispelled the Disasters that affected the prisoners’ minds, they still showed some residual signs of their beast transformation. For instance, they were exceptionally irritable, prone to fighting at the slightest disagreement. They couldn’t handle provocation and were reckless and emotional.
For example, an argument that was happening below.
“Was it you who just bumped into me?”
“Yes.”
“Then you can go to hell!”
Bang, bang, bang… A series of punches echoed through the hallway on the first floor as two burly men, who were clearly troublemakers, grappled with each other.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, a silhouette like a black cloth leaped down from the second floor.
One kick each.
Bang, bang—two hunters were kicked away in opposite directions.
It happened to be a long corridor; one flew to the end near the corridor window, and the other to the entrance. They were spread out by forty to fifty meters.
The troublemaking hunters knelt on the ground, hands trembling as they supported themselves, their saliva knocked out of their stomachs. There was a clear boot print on their uniforms over their chests. They shakily looked up at the towering, authoritative figure standing like an Iron Tower in the middle of the corridor. His eyes swept over them coldly.
The two hunters immediately lowered their heads, not daring to make a sound.
“Go to the Wild Beast’s Den and suffer the punishment yourself for three days.”
Casio’s voice was as cold as ever.
“Yes.” “Yes.”
The two hunters got up and left the Office Building dejectedly.
They actually didn’t want to start fights over trivial matters, but the beast transformation caused by the Disasters had been in their bodies for too long, turning their brains somewhat neurotic. They always uncontrollably started causing trouble.
And Casio’s approach to this was punishment; the first time, roll into the Wild Beast’s Den for three days, the second time, ten days, and the third time, a straight sacrifice to the heavens.
Indeed, he had no mood or energy to manage these newly freed prisoners, so his rules were a bit brutally simple. If they didn’t learn, they were just sent to die. After all, they were essentially death row inmates.
And you know what, once Casio unleashed his severe and cruel methods, the Wild Beast hunters suddenly became much more restrained. From disputes dozens of times an hour to now perhaps once in several hours, they started to follow the rules.
In the corridor, Casio slowly turned and headed towards the Director’s office.
The previous Soul Sickle Director of the Clinic had been severely injured for half a year and had been lying in the patient bed recuperating. The entire Clinic was almost paralyzed, and the order was very chaotic. Some functions even had to be entrusted to other organizations to share.
The Clinic’s headquarters also had a backlog of a substantial amount of documents and tasks.
Casio had released these thugs from the Wild Beast’s Den to fight fire with fire, allowing these experienced individuals to properly deal with their peers and kind. Like the still-at-large mission target Blood Shark.
The number four Shadow Hunter, Soul Sickle, was severely injured while attempting to capture the Blood Shark. The Blood Shark was also injured during that capture and hadn’t reappeared in the Hunters Association’s sights for half a year. If it had been captured by the Clinic, it would also have been imprisoned in the third subfloor of the Wild Beast’s Den.
Ten minutes later, in the director’s office of the Clinic.
Casio sat in the chair, resting his elbow on the desk, quietly observing the four individuals before him. Fog Man, Ascetic, Nine Snakes, and Otto were the most ferocious third-layer underground Prisoners, perfect for a “fight fire with fire” approach.
He pondered for a moment. First, he looked down at the Blood Shark’s file on the desk, then slowly rotated it a full circle to face the four men.
“Our Mission Target Blood Shark was the one who injured the former Clinic director, Soul Sickle. You, who have encountered Soul Sickle, should know his strength,” Casio slowly lifted his head, “The new term of the Clinic is in dire need of revival, almost like starting over. Though I have released all prisoners from the Wild Beast’s den to fill our manpower shortage, what the Clinic needs more is a victory, a substantial inaugural success…”
“Fog Man, Nine Snakes, Ascetic. You three, take the relevant files and the latest Intelligence from the Hunters Association. Starting now, pursue Blood Shark at all costs. No matter where he escapes within the Hong Li Empire, bring him back to me as an example…”
Casio’s gaze slightly shifted and finally settled on Otto.
“Otto, you don’t need to go with them. The Clinic needs you here to help keep things running; you stay here…”
“Yes,” Otto nodded immediately.
Casio stood up, just about to say something more when he suddenly sensed the Demon Seed implanted in the Evil Mother approaching. He waved his hand and said, “Go do what you must.”
“Yes.”
The four men exchanged glances and quickly left.
Casio waited a moment and then walked out of the director’s office. He left the Office Building and headed out of the Clinic Headquarters.
Two minutes later, in a secluded alleyway lined with trees.
Casio strode over, his gaze directed toward the shadows in the corner of the wall.
The Evil Mother no longer hid her form and slowly walked out. Her narrow eyes fixated on Casio, slightly squinting, “Why do I feel the Aura on you has grown stronger? The threat you pose is several times greater than before…”
Casio’s expression remained unchanged, neither admitting nor denying.
“No matter how strong I get, I can’t just leap to the level of Totem King at this stage. Besides, our cooperation is led by me; it doesn’t have to be willingly or feel safe or some nonsense. All you need to know is that I don’t break my word on crucial matters…”
The Evil Mother fell silent for a while, eventually steering away from that topic.
“There’s been a development. People from the Door Organization couldn’t resist any longer and made a move on my disguised identity, Silver Reek Sword Sas. They suspect a mysterious Force has attacked the Dark creatures Experiment Field. As you instructed, I didn’t use my full strength, merely injured the assailant and let him escape…”
The Evil Mother’s black pupils stayed on Casio, “I have left a tracking marker on him. The man is currently fleeing toward the outskirts of Florence City…”
She paused briefly, almost as if reading Casio’s mind, and asked, “Shall we join forces and track him down to see what’s really happening?”
“Let’s go,” Casio said succinctly.
Immediately, the Evil Mother streaked through the shadows toward the direction where the Door Organization member was fleeing. Casio followed behind, his steps neither hurried nor slow.
Half an hour had passed, and it was now the afternoon.
The three silhouettes, one fleeing and two chasing, had left the Florence area and reached the borders of Fal County on their way toward Rika City.
At the same time, in a remote Mountain Forest on the outskirts of Florence City.
“The Totem Disc has reacted! The target is rapidly leaving the Royal Capital Florence, heading southeast!” exclaimed a Youth, his neck wrapped with a Black Totem Tattoo. In his hands was a Disc bestowed by the Totem King, capable of sensing the residual Totem Aura of the Evil Mother. Even those who killed the Evil Mother would carry residual aura.
“Let’s go! Chase after them!”
Next to a giant tree, two old men meditating suddenly opened their eyes, their sharp gaze fleeting. They sprang to their feet.
