Chapter 770: 403 Artificial Dark Creature (4000)_1 Chapter 770: 403 Artificial Dark Creature (4000)_1 Roar!

A growl gushed out of the ghoul’s wide mouth which practically took up its entire face. Its mouth spewing repugnant fumes, the next second it rushed forward, all four limbs at once.

As it had no hair, only a skin as smooth and streamlined as a shark, one could clearly see the large muscles under the ghoul’s skin, bulging and swelling, and the joints of its limbs protruding and rotating like car wheels.

It was like a magnified, enhanced cheetah, quick and vicious.

Its limbs clawed at the ground, leaving deep holes the size of fists. The ghoul streaked by, leaving an afterimage, its face ferocious as it lunged at Casio.

Boom!

The ghoul hit Casio’s body at high speed, then after a brief pause of a tenth of a second, it flew backward even faster. Its silhouette darted through the air as if riding the clouds and mist, its body forming a curved shape.

Thud!

Its massive two-meter body crashed into the enclosure wall, causing bricks and stones to fall.

The ghoul was stuck in a crack with its neck twisted at an odd angle as if the entire spine has been snapped. Its wide mouth moved askew, with ferocious shark-like teeth crushed in its mouth.

Crimson blood filled the gaps in the flesh of the split muscle skin.

Splash… the ghoul squirmed as the grey bricks on its body fell off. It trembled as it was about to get up, but a huge foot in a black boot stomped heavily on its chest. With a thud, the surrounding dust billowed out and the debris scattered. The ghoul was pressed to the ground by a massive force, feeling as if all the organs in the chest were about to be squeezed out of its throat. The enormous force made it completely unable to struggle or resist.

Looking down from above, the blonde stout man looked at the ghoul with indifferent eyes. For some reason, the ghoul’s wild brain trembled and a trace of fear trickled in. This man was not like the regular hunters, his eyes were those of viewing prey!

In the ghoul’s vision, a large hand reached down from above.

It grabbed the top of the ghoul’s head, but there was nothing to grab there except a bald surface. The next moment, the man’s thumb started to put pressure as if it were going to drill into the skull and burst the ghoul’s head like a bowling ball and carry it away. But, the hand stopped and instead moved to grab the ghoul’s nape.

Lifting it into mid-air, the second hand swung and sent the ghoul into unconsciousness.

Casio turned around and left the dim alleyway.

The moment he stepped out, he could see the silhouette of Soss in the distance. He was silently watching Casio, his eyes filled with a mixture of caution and reluctance.

Casio took steps towards the Central Garden, his gaze first resting on the burning Black Bait Wood in the plaza and then meeting Soss’s eyes. His gaze became increasingly dangerous as he approached.

Soss’s heart skipped a beat, feeling this was not the place to stay for long. He retreated a couple of steps, turned around quickly, and left through an alley.

Casio’s expression remained unchanged, standing on top of a staircase.

He glanced lower, to where the fight between Claire and the werewolf had begun. The two of them continued to fight and move the battlefield until they disappeared. The Central Garden was silent once again, only the Black Bait Wood burnt quietly in the center of the plaza, only a quarter remaining.

Dragging the ghoul along, Casio strolled off.

He couldn’t waste the remaining Black Bait Wood, it could be used next time. After all, such valuable resources are not something that the ghost man could exchange easily.

The flame extinguished, leaving half a palm-sized piece of Black Bait Wood.

Stowing it into his chest, Casio was about to drag his spoils back to the Dark Hunt Organization’s headquarters. Unexpectedly, another group of dark creatures was attracted to the scene. Approximately seven or eight of them, all of the lowest beast level.

Casio surveyed his surroundings, letting these dark creatures greedily inhale the aroma and draw near. He slowly raised his hand, but then put it back down. The dust wavered, and Casio already stood before the leading dark creature. He locked eyes with the three-eyed exotic species, his arm cutting through the air leaving an afterimage. A dash of fresh blood flew through the air, and in his hand was an eyeball.

The size of a normal human eye, it had a translucent hue. Situated in the center was a pupil, radiating a mysterious azure hue of the sea. This eyeball seemed just like a special prop exclusive to the Organization— the Tear of Blue Eye.

However, the Tear of Blue Eye was sealed in amber and had two pupils, which marked a slight difference from the eyeball before him.

Casio grew solemn, his right hand drew a bloody radian line in the air. All the heads of the surrounding dark creatures fell to the ground. Casio seemed to have remembered something and turned back to check the pile of corpses. After some digging, he made a further discovery.

Eyeballs identical to the previous one, only some were hidden in the bodies of the dark creatures and even in their brains. In no time, Casio held ten such eyeballs in his hand and there were definitely more left in the pile of corpses. What was the connection between these exotic beings and the Organization?

He was instantly on alert.

Currently, it was the end of the Hong Li Empire era, in two or three years the Dark Hunt Organization would collapse completely, the fall of Empire would follow suit. Seeing creatures seemingly connected with the Organization appearing in Florence at this critical juncture, it was hard not to link these two events.
