Chapter 588 - 588 318 Star Python Explosion Echo (4200)_1

Chapter 588: 318 Star Python, Explosion, Echo (4200)_1 Chapter 588: 318 Star Python, Explosion, Echo (4200)_1 At seven-thirty in the morning, wisps of fog rose over Fengnan City.

Like a swarm of pale white, fluid pulp, it slowly seeped into the city streets in all directions. Pedestrians walking in the fog seemed as if their bodies could float away.

Dreamily, as if falling into the clouds.

At the foothills in the suburbs, an isolated manor, the Black Spade “A” branch.

At the gate, several gunmen dressed in black uniforms slowly scanned the road ahead. On both sides of the road, the dense foliage peeked out intermittently, with the space filled with a thin fog, surging like a tide. At first glance, the whole open space seemed like an island in a white ocean.

“Brothers, have you heard about what happened last night?”

A gunman whispered, attracting the attention of others.

“Do you mean the incident where Lord Plum Blossom K was seriously injured and returned?”

A well-informed person quickly replied.

“Yes, it seems there was a problem at the Water Cloud House; last night, the Sand Dust Organization made a surprise attack. Our losses were heavy; probably, dozens of our brothers were killed there. Lord Plum Blossom K barely escaped, losing an arm in the process…”

The original speaker sighed, his voice tinged with worry and confusion. The Sand Dust Organization has been in conflict with the Black Spade “A” for years, and this has escalated quite a lot in the last month. A full-scale war is likely not far off.

If a complete battle were to break out, all the brothers would have to fight desperately.

“The Water Cloud House! Damn, I almost got sent there just a week ago. So lucky… otherwise, I might have been one of those dead…” A gunman appeared shocked, his eyes filled with lingering fear.

He had initially wanted to go to the Water Cloud House. The Fengnan City branch located in the hillside suburbs was remote and lacked entertainment. On the other hand, the Water Cloud Guild Hall was located within the city limits, with convenient transportation. It was very easy to visit nightclubs or bars.

After comparing the two, the Water Cloud House seemed more comfortable.

But he didn’t expect such a thing to happen last night.

The gunman could only be grateful that he accidentally cheated death.

“You are indeed quite lucky.” The first gunman looked at his companion with a complex gaze, his voice low: “Do you know? The brothers at the Water Cloud House last night were not against humans! But against monsters that no matter how much you shoot, they won’t die! Neither handguns nor submachine guns, even heavy machine guns or grenades, nothing worked!”

“A fortunate brother who survived said he saw an attacker being split into two by a heavy machine gun. Yet, the upper half was still dragging a blood-soaked gut and fighting, using his hand as claws to crawl on the ground! Another one who had his arm shattered picked up his rotten arm from the ground, attached it back to his shoulder. Hell, it healed!”

“Damn!” The gunmen cursed in unison. This was a fear stemming from a sense of unease, the fear of the unknown.

With a gun in hand, there was always a bit of confidence. Because there was an understanding at that time— the enemy was also made of flesh and blood, and it only took a few shots to kill them.

But now, the opponent was not human, but a monster. A monster that bullets could not kill. The gunmen instantly lost their trust in firearms, and uneasiness filled their minds instantly.

“How can we contend with such monsters?”

“The Water Cloud House had five or six dozens of elite gunmen…”

“They were crushed so easily!”

The gunmen were full of concern as they spoke animatedly.

Suddenly, the dense white fog on the road ahead stirred slightly, creating a small vortex. From the vortex, three silhouettes slowly emerged, shoulders touching, their specific appearances unclear.

The gunmen on guard were still chatting, but they quickly noticed the anomaly in the fog and turned their heads to yell out.

“Who are you?!”

“Stay where you are!”

The three figures, however, seemingly ignored, kept approaching directly, instantly stepping out of the grayish-white fog.

The leader was a youth of about twenty, with his hair dyed dark blue, curled at the ends, resting on his shoulders.

His features were handsome but feminine, his gaze was exceedingly sharp.

He was wearing a slim white trench coat, which made his figure appear slender, bordering on thin. Interestingly enough, the man in the white coat wore a black fingerless glove on one hand, its surface inlaid with brass. The glove featured an odd imprint vaguely forming a palm shape.

The other two wore similar outfits, one gloved hand and the other bare. To the left of the man in the white coat was a tall woman dressed in black leather pants and a tight jacket. Her chest bulged against her waistcoat. A diamond earring hung from her right earlobe, gleaming slightly.

To the right of the man in the white coat was a man wearing a black suit and a monocle, a wide-brimmed hat obscuring half his forehead.

There was a subtle touch of danger about all three, with the man in white looking down on the many Black Spade “A” gunmen pointing guns at them with mocking superiority. A sneer formed at the corner of his mouth, full of disdain.

“Is this how you Black Spade A conduct your hospitality? Get lost!”

The man in the white coat didn’t break his stride, the trio advancing in unison.

“Click.” “Click.” “Click.”

The numerous gunmen’s fingers twitched, ready to pull the trigger. But they found, oddly, that they just couldn’t do it!

They wanted to move, but found their limbs rigid. It was as if their bodies were bound by a pool of frozen air, every joint squeezed and wrapped. That invisible force was immense, as if a few liquid walls were restricting their movements.
