Chapter 430 - 430 247 Run (4300)_2
Chapter 430: 247 Run! (4300)_2 Chapter 430: 247 Run! (4300)_2 “Turn left when you exit, a hundred meters ahead.”
The elder sister is still warm-hearted. Even though she was slightly irritated just now, she promptly helped Lawrence.
“Thank you, thank you.”
Lawrence spoke while quickly stepping out.
He was so anxious that he completely failed to notice the two strong, fair-skinned men nearby were evaluating him.
“Cherno, how about this one? His height and build are quite good, he looks sturdy, should suit your taste…”
A short-haired strongman whispered as he turned his head.
“He looks good from a distance, but when you get closer you can tell he’s kind of weak. Pale face, dark circles under his eyes, panting after walking a few steps, and he shivers slightly. I suspect he has some leg disease. I’m not that fussy about what I eat, but I don’t go for absolute crap…”
Another stalwart man with long hair, roughly tied behind him, revealing a scarred face, spoke. He wasn’t too pleased.
“After looking around, it doesn’t seem like there’s any high-quality stuff…”
The short-haired strong man grumbled immediately, “Who told you to dawdle? Most of the desserts here were already gone by the time we got to the train station. You’re still being picky, we’re lucky to have anything to eat at all.”
“Quickly pick a sturdy one to use as bait, feed the Blood Spirit in your body. This way you don’t have to eat anything for a whole week, less hassle.” The short-haired strong man replied.
But the long-haired man shook his head: “One isn’t enough, normally it would be. But now we of the Blood Spirit Association have arrived in East Sea County, we have to deal with those people. Once we use any of our abilities, blood consumption will sky-rocket. A nourished adult male, used sparingly, can last a maximum of three days.”
“Well, alright then… hurry up and pick, it’s getting dark…”
Said the short-haired strongman, who had already eaten earlier and was just accompanying his companion. So, relatively speaking, he was not in a hurry.
“Alright, alright.”
The long-haired strong man squinted his eyes, quickly scanning the train station. He promptly locked on to a few of the best targets.
He was just about to make his decision.
Suddenly, where his throat and chin cover, a blood-red mouth suddenly opened and whispered, “Eighty meters to the left, at the intersection of the platform of the train station.” The strong man immediately turned his head and saw three people walking over.
A boy, a girl, and behind them was an old man with white hair carrying a suitcase. The boy wore a pair of black boots that reached halfway up his calves. Above the boots were black straps. The upper body was a delicate waistcoat with a small ceremonial cloak. The collar of the poncho, made of obsidian material, was tied with a circle of exquisite light purple bow.
The girl was wearing a black gown, with lace edging below the waist, the upper part designed intricately giving a sense of depth. She also wore a pair of glossy black gloves.
On their clothes were custom-designed badges made of antique silver. The surface showed a rotating eye-like print.
At first glance, one could sense the distinct classiness of the pair, much like low-profile, restrained aristocrats.
Their outfits were identical, though cleverly designed, were not flashy. Compared to ballroom attire, these outfits were more down-to-earth. The two seemed to be twins, with similar features. Their skin was fair, and their appearance was delicate radiating a unique aura.
“Well, seems like my luck is here.”
The long-haired strong man’s eyes lit up, and he snapped his fingers.
The short-haired man shook his head and said, “What’s the use of looking good? A sturdy man fills you up better when you eat him.”
The long-haired man turned his head: “It’s different, you don’t understand. It’s like a delicate meal, smaller portions but absolutely tasty.”
“The Blood Spirit inside me loves this kind of flavor.”
“We’ll go with them then. As for the old man…we can leave him to you.”
“Thanks for your generosity, but I’ve already eaten my fill,” the short-haired man sarcastically said, then turned and walked out of the station.
“If you don’t want him, we might as well kill him. Wasting food, tsk…”
The long-haired man also walked out full of anticipation. Now that he had chosen his meal, he naturally started preparing the cutlery.
In the station hall.
The boy and the girl looked around curiously, as if they had never been out before, very easy to deceive. The old white-haired man came up behind them carrying two suitcases.
“Young Master You An, Miss Hyman. Our car should be waiting outside, let’s go. The family has already found a suitable villa in the suburbs of Kula City, which can be used as a temporary place to stay during the Gold Antique Exhibition.” The old man’s voice was very low, with a sense of vicissitudes. Although he looked like he was in his sixties or seventies, the suit he wore fitted him well; he seemed to have quite a muscular build.
His hands had calluses as if he had practiced combat skills in the past.
“Very well, Steward Julian.”
The girl politely responded, nodding her head.
The boy, however, did not think much of it and continued looking around curiously, “Steward, I heard that the organizer of the Tulip Antique Exhibition is a well-known martial arts school in East Sea County. They supposedly have many Federation Rank 5 martial arts experts. One even won the national martial arts competition last year. I would like to see them in action.”
The steward helplessly shook his head, leaning in to say, “Young Master You An, you don’t plan on challenging them, do you? I know you enjoy martial arts and watching fights. But we are not like ordinary humans, the power in our body allows us to easily surpass them. Didn’t you fight a leopard when you were ten? Remember that feline creature you tore apart? Now you are fifteen years old.”
“What’s so impressive about Federation Rank 5? It’s just ordinary humans’ martial arts refined to the limit. Compared to you and the bloodline of our family, they are as different as heaven and earth. What you should be focusing on now is mastering the use of the immense power in your body, not practicing trivial human martial arts. It’s a waste of time… The lady of the house has reminded me that you must meditate for four hours every day.”
“Ah …” You An, the young boy, tilted his head in disappointment.
The steward knew when to relent, and immediately added, “Of course, if the young master can diligently complete his studies every day, I can also allow you to witness the martial arts of East Sea County’s Martial Arts School in person. I hear that the martial arts hall here is quite thriving.”
The words of the old man lit up the boy’s eyes instantly.
It seemed to have recharged his motivation.
“Hey, excuse us, you’re blocking the path.”
Suddenly, a voice came from the checkpoint behind them. You An turned his head and it turned out to be three people dressed in black. Their outfits were similar, looking like gang members at first glance.
“So cool,” he didn’t get angry, instead, he became excited.
Because of his family status, You An has been sheltered at home since birth. Despite receiving a good education, he could not suppress his lively and active personality. Each rare chance to leave the house for “experience” was filled with curiosity.
He took a step forward, gestured a gun-pointing action at the nearest blond figure, and muttered mysteriously.
“Are you guys from the underworld? Bro, bang …”
He even made a sound effect, looking a bit silly. The source of his information probably came from a magazine.
“Apologies, apologies.” The old steward rushed over quickly.
“It’s okay.” Casio didn’t mind and led the other two past the checkpoint. Sometimes, looks also play a crucial role in personal interactions. You An’s act was silly yet somewhat cute. If it was done by someone unattractive, it would make him look like a fool or a psychopath.
“Young Master, did you forget what you promised when we left the house? You are not to talk to strangers, much less approach them.” The elderly steward sighed, “Let’s go…”
Then, the two parties left the train station, one leading, the other following.
Outside, the streets were rarely traversed by vehicles, and there weren’t many passengers or pedestrians. In a corner beside a black car with a silver frame stands two white burly men glancing at the intersection of the train station from time to time.
Suddenly, the long-haired man’s eyes lit up.
“Here they come, here they come, get ready!”
The short-haired man perked up as well.
At the intersection, the group that was just marked as prey in the hall, alongside three other people, came out.
The long-haired man was about to walk forward when suddenly, he was forced to lift his chin, and a red mouth on his neck opened up.
“Forty-five metres to the left front!”
“Intersecting the train station area!”
“Those three people in black!!!”
The frantic voice of the Blood Spirit startled the two burly men into a brief exchange of looks. The long-haired man pondered, “Could there be an unexpected catch?”
The short-haired man replied, “Perhaps they are rare prey.”
Just as the two exchanged words, they simultaneously lifted their heads slightly.
Two red mouths simultaneously called out.
“Run!”
