Chapter 398 - 398 232 I object (4000)_2
Chapter 398: 232 I object! (4000)_2 Chapter 398: 232 I object! (4000)_2 In the meeting room, Justin’s deep gaze swept across several people who had stood up. Suddenly, his somber expression transformed into a smile. He clapped his hands together, “Please, everyone, don’t get so worked up. As it happens, I have a few friends from East Nine Gates coming to visit. Why don’t we all go and greet them…”
“Which dignitaries from the East Nine Gates are visiting?”
A senior elder of a secret martial arts school seated on a chair asked.
Justin smiled again, then stood, “Soul-Losing Swordmanship, Lance; Star Ring Fist, Aro. Two of the Eastern Triple Stars…”
Five minutes later.
About eight or nine people left the meeting room and came to the entrance of the Evil Eye Fist Manor headquarters. They could see from afar the uniformed police officers in blue who were directing traffic at a barricade down the road. They were neatly uniformed, with black handguns worn at their waists.
Yellow caution tape was stretched across certain areas and roads.
Several black cars were stopped outside by the caution tape.
Justin led the way, and after randomly talking to the chief of police who smoked by the road, the police officers let them pass through the tape.
The cars drove in and parked in the parking lot at the entrance.
Under the gaze of the masters and elders of the secret martial arts schools in Windsor County, the car doors were opened one by one, and a group of experts from East Nine Gates stepped out. Some of them had strong aura, exuding a touch of danger, which indicated that they could pose a threat to others.
The elders of some secret martial arts schools had apprehension in their eyes.
Now it was past ten in the morning, the sun was bright, and the golden light shone slightly on the black cars, producing a bit of a reflection.
A couple of birds occasionally circled back and forth in the sky.
The car door opened, and finally two young men got off.
The one on the left wore a light-colored trench coat, had striking purple hair, and black and red eyes. His demeanor was cold, and at his waist was attached a sword-type tool wrapped in white bandages, concealed by the trench coat.
The one on the right was a fair-skinned youth, who was clearly more muscular than the young man with purple hair. He wore a black vest, revealing his two strong arms. His arms were evenly wrapped in white bandages, which further highlighted the muscular contours of his arms.
The masters and elders of Windsor County watched them as they approached. Suddenly, everyone felt a trance. To the left was the silver moonlight that struck across the air like lightning, while the right was filled with star sand.
Xiu Te of the Panming Martial Way shook off the daze, narrowing his eyes with apprehension, “Such strong aura, they have already found their own path, about to touch the omen of a true fighter…”
“The Eastern Triple Stars, indeed worthy of being the core batch trained by the top schools of East Nine Gates, they can surely be compared to the older generation now.” Someone silently observed and assessed in his mind.
“Ha ha ha, welcome to the Soul-Losing Swordmanship and Star Ring Fist representatives to Windsor County. So these are Lance and Aro, two of the Eastern Triple Stars. Last time at the Nine Gates conference, I missed the chance to meet you two. This time is just right.”
Justin laughed heartily, and stepped forward.
“Gate Master Justin, I have long admired the reputation of the Evil Eye Fist.” The fair-skinned youth, Aro, made a fist salute, then swept his gaze over the people behind Justin and asked, “Who are these gentlemen…”
“Oh, I forgot to introduce them.”
Justin casually turned to the side: “These gentlemen are the elders and gate masters of various secret martial arts schools in Windsor County, here to discuss the matters of the Eastern Alliance with us at Evil Eye Fist.” He half-turned and began to introduce.
“This is Candy Carter, Gate Master of Desert Map Fist; this is Elder Og of Wind Slash Decapitation Blade; this is Rune, Gate Master of Red Vulture Fist;…”
“And finally, Xiu Te, the Gate Master of the Panming Martial Way.”
“Hmph.” Xiu Te responded coldly, expressing his attitude.
The expressions of the other secret martial arts school elders differed.
Some were indifferent, some clearly resistant, some smiled warmly. All of these were observed by Lance and Aro. It seemed that Windsor County’s plan for the Eastern Alliance wasn’t going as smoothly as they’d thought, and there were still many obstacles.
But this was perfectly fine. Without resistance, how could they so smoothly initiate a challenge and amass a heap of merit?
The silent Lance suddenly spoke, his gaze coldly sweeping over the few people several meters away, “So, you are the Masters and Elders of the secret martial art schools in Windsor County. At first glance, I thought I was dealing with the old, weak, sick, and disabled. It’s an honor to meet you.”
Lance’s words were quite ordinary, with no trace of sarcasm or emotional fluctuation. But it was this calm tone that felt even more grating, as if what he was saying was the absolute truth.
Indeed, among the eight or nine people present, half of them were white-haired old men, and the rest weren’t exactly young. But as for being old, weak, sick, and disabled, that had nothing to do with these fighters for now.
“You!”
Xiu Te was the first to react, his temper was notorious for being explosive. Now, being mocked, his anger rose exponentially, “Calling us old, weak, sick, and disabled? Even if you have that crappy title of the East Three Stars, you are not qualified to judge us!”
“As for you, young and sharp-tongued, hasn’t your master taught you to be more humble when outside?”
Another provoked secret martial art school elder said, “Even if you’re from the Soul-Losing Swordmanship, you shouldn’t be so arrogant!”
As an old man behind Lance was about to step forward, Lance quickly responded, “Sorry, I had just come over from Kaqiong County and based on the aura, you are indeed far inferior to the masters and elders of the secret martial arts schools in Kaqiong County whom I had challenged. My apologies.”
While his mouth was apologizing, his expression was unchanging. It gave off an inexplicable sense of dark sarcasm.
“Good boy, indulging in your recent achievement of the Major Accomplishment in martial arts and daring to judge our strength. I’m afraid you’re still far from being qualified. If the master of the Soul-Losing Swordmanship were here, it might be more appropriate…”
“Kaqiong County? Three years ago, we from Windsor County’s Secret Martial Arts World had exchanges and sparring with them, resulting in neither victory nor defeat. Where did you get this subjective nonsense?”
Suddenly, several elders of the secret martial arts schools chimed in.
Lance’s expression didn’t change, he glanced subtly at Justin next to him, then spoke again.
“Since you all consider yourself strong, then I will dare to challenge you all. How about doing it right here in the manor?”
A sharp aura surged like an unsheathed longsword, pointing directly at Xiu Te, Rune, and the others.
The crowd was suddenly silenced.
A cold smile curled up on Lance’s mouth.
“Why aren’t you speaking? You’re not scared, are you?”
“What’s there to fear!” Xiu Te reacted immediately, shooting a glance at Justin next to him. Xiu Te may be impulsive, but he wasn’t stupid. Lance’s actions were merely a base form of provocation. His challenge was most likely related to the Eastern Alliance’s plan, perhaps even planned in advance.
In the Secret Martial Arts World, fighters found it hard to attack martial artists of a lower level, but it was acceptable for young prodigies of martial arts to challenge the masters and elders of many secret martial art schools. Losing was quite normal, but winning could damage the reputation of the school.
Moreover, it was hard for the secret martial arts schools to refuse this kind of challenge. Even if they did, it would cast a certain degree of negativity.
Hence, since Lance and Aro were here, they must have come with the intention to challenge the secret martial arts schools of Windsor County. Even if they did not accept the challenge today, sooner or later, a match was inevitable.
Xiu Te had confidence in his strength, and he believed he wouldn’t lose to Lance, with the worst outcome being a draw.
Without hesitation, they headed towards the fighting field of the manor.
There were more than ten people, making quite a commotion as they moved.
In a three-storied building inside the manor, someone sitting in the reception room and drinking tea heard the noise outside. Immediately, they opened the window and looked down, quickly scanning everyone below.
Lance stiffened suddenly, feeling his entire body’s hair standing on end. His right hand instinctively gripped the sword hilt as he abruptly lifted his head, his keen eyes looking upwards.
There, he made eye contact with a blond youth in mid-air.
