Chapter 344 - 344 206 Training with Dark Creatures (4000)_2

Chapter 344: 206 Training with Dark Creatures (4000)_2 Chapter 344: 206 Training with Dark Creatures (4000)_2 The Black Mechanism has conducted power and danger assessments for most known organizations and has also made a broad categorization of all sorts of diverse supernatural powers. Although relatively crude, this classification is indeed objectively reasonable.

E-Class, power analogous to a Handgun. It can pose a sufficient threat to a normal adult human, and can fight against at least ten people.

D-Class, power analogous to a heavy machine gun. It can completely overpower ordinary humans who are unable to resist. If committed to killing without hesitation, it could easily kill hundreds.

C-Class, power analogous to an Artillery Gun. It can cause severe destruction to buildings, possessing very strong destructive mobility.

B-Class, power analogous to Rocket Grenades. It can cause large-scale injury, destruction sweeping across a large area. It can at least demolish a small building and drastically affect an entire block.

A-Class, power analogous to a cluster of Bombers. The power reaches half of a city, posing a serious life threat to hundreds of thousands of people.

According to Franz, both Casio and Amos should be categorized as “B-Class” under this assessment, meaning they have the capability to blow up buildings.

This class also has a huge gap in its upper and lower limits.

Casio is currently just barely stepping into the “B-Class”.

Of course, this is already an extremely rare level. The Black Mechanism, as a massive organization backed by the Hong Li Federation developed over twenty years, still barely has a number of “B-Class” power holders that could be counted on two hands. This level is indeed very scarce.

Since Casio had earlier revealed that he belongs to the Secret Martial Arts World, Franz began discussing the Martial Arts World within the Federation with him.

This information that can only be collected at the Federal Government level was shared with Casio with good faith.

The Secret Martial Arts World is a rather large and powerful force within the Federation. Practitioners of secret martial arts have physical quality and combat capabilities far beyond ordinary people. They can continuously refine their physical body through martial arts, reaching their physiological limit and even surpassing it, achieving a realm of comprehension that ordinary fighters cannot understand.

Moreover, Secret Martial Arts are designed to tap into human potential; thus they have a very wide base and foundation as compared to other supernatural abilities.

The total population of the Hong Li Federation at the last census three years ago had just exceeded 200 million, and there are at least a million people who are within or associated with the Secret Martial Arts World. There are many martial arts hobbyists among them, and if you count those, the number would be even higher.

Possibly at the level of tens of millions.

It is precisely because of such a large base that there are so many masters in the Secret Martial Arts World. The Secret Martial Arts World is divided into North and South, taking the Northern Mystery Martial World as an example. The strongest group in the Secret Martial Arts World that are known are the fighters who master the energy that is born from the physical body yet transcends it. Neither handguns nor heavy machine guns can pose a threat to them, not even artillery. Some fighters can dodge them, some can even withstand them. Only a large weapon with an explosive force is useful.

This is a solid “B-Class”.

According to rough calculations by the Black Mechanism, there are at least thirty such “B-Class” fighters in the entire Northern Mystery Martial World. They are either the leaders of various Schools or elders from the previous generation.

And this is just the known quantity, some powerful Schools are very low-key, and some Secret Martial Arts masters choose to live in seclusion. By comprehensive estimation, the entire Northern Mystery Martial World probably has at least fifty “B-Class”.

If you also count the Southern part and double the quantity.

The whole Secret Martial Arts World might have one hundred “B-Class” fighters.

This is already more than ten times the number in the Black Mechanism!

Of course, this can’t be calculated specifically in comparison. After all, the Secret Martial Arts World is divided into various Schools, and these hundred fighters are divided among them, each School doesn’t have many. In addition, the Secret Martial Arts World is very large and diverse, there are conflicts between the south and the north, between different counties, and even among different Schools within the same county.

It was absolutely impossible to consolidate into a powerful fist.

The Black Mechanism did attempt to engage with this massive collective, but their efforts yielded minimal results. For some unknown reason, most secret martial arts schools are quite resistant to official forces, with their willingness to cooperate being minimal at best.

Only a few C-Class and D-Class secret martial arts practitioners are interested in the terms offered by the Black Mechanism, but their use is quite limited. The Black Mechanism has also tried to obtain secret martial arts from various schools to cultivate their own strength. However, the inheritance of secret martial arts is at the core of each school, making it difficult even for officials to benefit from it.

Sometimes, they do manage to obtain an arcane martial art by chance. For some reason, though, there are often issues when the Black Mechanism attempts to cultivate it. They simply cannot produce true martial arts talents, with the strongest among them only reaching the level of fist martial artists. Some even deviate in their later cultivation and die as a result.

Casio, however, is the very first true martial arts practitioner at the fighter level that the Black Mechanism has encountered who is genuinely willing to sit down and have a proper discussion. Therefore, Franz gave great weight to their conversation, addressing Casio as ‘Mr.’

They talked about many things.

Including the organization.

The periphery and core of the organization are completely different, defined as loose organizations and “S” level danger organizations respectively. Li Wei being a former peripheral member doesn’t count against him in the eyes of the Black Mechanism. In fact, it even scores him additional points. The Black Mechanism can use this association to learn more about the organization and its surface-level operations.

As for Casio, he mainly wants to investigate the Black Mechanism about the dark creature Dead Blood, which had appeared in the Sect Destruction War fifteen years ago. As an organization backed by the Federal Special Bureau, they may be able to easily pick up leads that Casio has lost.

Moreover, the Black Mechanism’s primary purpose is to curb the actions of dark creatures. After twenty years of development, there are hidden branches of the Black Mechanism in practically every county in the country, constantly monitoring movements of various forces within their jurisdiction.

They have detailed knowledge of the recent frequency and locations of appearances of dark creatures, even appointing commissioners to suppress them. Some dark creatures are killed, and some are captured and taken back to their branch for research and detention.

Some special types of dark creatures are generally imprisoned.

For example, parasitic Shadow Demons.

Franz mentioned a man named Olay Carlson.

He is the branch head of the North Flow Country’s branch, a very capable cadre in the Black Mechanism. Unfortunately, Olay’s daughter has been parasitized by an unknown dark creature and goes berserk every night.

In the black sedan, Casio continued the conversation smoothly, “Mr. Franz, how many dark creatures are typically detained in one branch of the Black Mechanism?”

“The cells for dark creatures are specially made, so they cannot accommodate many. Generally, there would be about thirty to forty cells. Under normal circumstances, the occupancy rate of cells at each branch would range from one third to one half. More dark creatures would normally be killed during operations.”

“So roughly a dozen or so dark creatures.” Franz looked at Casio, “Why does Mr. Li Wei ask this?”

Casio did not answer this question, continuing to converse with Franz, “Aside from being studied, do these imprisoned dark creatures hold any other significant value to the Black Mechanism?”

Franz shook his head, speaking with a weathered voice,

“Basically, none, on the contrary, these special cases involving dark creatures pose more of a risk. One of the branches was negligent in their management, leading to a breakout of dark creatures which almost wiped out more than half of the personnel there.” He continued speaking, “Those used for research form a small part, one in ten.”

Franz turned his gaze back to Casio, sensing that Casio had something to say, or maybe a favor to ask.

This falls right in line with his hopes. Having a “B” level strong practicioner owe you a favor, or reaching a cooperation agreement, is clearly a good thing.

Next to Franz, Casio pondered for a moment, his gaze flickering as he said, “I have a method to kill these dark creatures, I wonder… if you would be willing to give it a try.”
