Chapter 197 - 197 144 He is Harder than Iron (6600)_4

Chapter 197: 144 He is Harder than Iron (6600)_4 Chapter 197: 144 He is Harder than Iron (6600)_4 “Three of the Blood Clan! Is this a hub for the Blood Clan members who have recently gathered in Jinghu City?” The man in the trench coat was astounded, his gaze slid over to a figure in the far off mountain forest.

“There’s another one! And they seem powerful…”

The trench coat man felt his heart sinking as if it had plunged into the depths of the sea, he sensed the scent of impending death. He had blindly provoked the Blood Clan!

“Hehehe…”

A chilling laugh echoed from the opposite side, the curly-haired Blood Clan member had spotted his three sprinting companions. He recognized the two rushing from the wooden hut, and although he did not know the one emerging from the woods he identified him as a Blood Clan expert. Judging by his tower-like sturdy figure and the speed at which he carried the sacrifice, he was an undeniable powerhouse.

It was clear that this was a mighty reinforcement!

“Bang, bang, bang!”

“Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!”

Cathy instantly began to fire her gun and the trench coat man also pulled the trigger of his semi-automatic crossbow. Both directed their fire towards the hut, as there were no tree trunks to obstruct their view in the open ground. The Blood Clan member charging from the woods was blocked by the dense forest, making the chances of bullets and arrows hitting him fewer compared to the others.

On the grassland, the two Blood Clan members were moving at a fast pace.

They were mostly untouched by the flying objects, which was why the trench coat man initially chose to launch a stealth attack. The Blood Clan were agile and nimble creatures of the darkness, and they could dodge many attacks if they were aware and prepared beforehand.

“Follow me!”

The trench coat man let out a booming yell, planning to retreat, but the curly-haired Blood Clan member quickly engaged him in a fight. Despite having lost a lot of blood, he was still stronger than ordinary men.

The trench coat man was immediately entangled by the blood-streaked waving hands.

“Damn it!”

He gritted his teeth, preparing to make a sacrifice for his escape. Suddenly, he felt his heart skip a beat, it was as if a massive boulder was pressing down on him.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the towering figure that was initially far off, now closing in within seconds, even faster than the Blood Clan members on the open ground.

“Brother! Stop him!”

There was a look of elation on the face of the curly-haired Blood Clan member as he roared out loud.

Whoosh!

The enormous chest squashed down on the air, resembling a raging bull in charge, every step resounding like a muted thunderclap.

“Let’s take him together!” the curly-haired Blood Clan member sneered.

“Huh?!”

He stopped abruptly. The frantic shuffle of air parted his hair down the middle and a gigantic fist, as firm as cast iron, swung towards him. He could even see the veins on the fist, twisted like steel wires.

“Aren’t we on the same side?”

That was his last thought.

Thud!!!

His head exploded under the brutal force, splattering outwards.

Cathy and the trench coat man, who were preparing to fire at the side, widened their eyes in surprise. An internal feud in the Blood Clan?! One of their own was killing another? No, the charging hulk was a pure human.

The creature he was carrying on his shoulder was a member of the Blood Clan!

With his sharp senses, the trench coat man quickly realized: “Lower your gun, he’s an ally. We need to handle the Blood Clan members on the other side!”

“Continue.”

A calm voice sounded from the edge.

The trench coat man felt a slight push, as the muscular man walked past him, the trench coat man felt the weight on his shoulder – an unconscious young Blood Clan member.

Fighting back discomfort, the trench coat man warned the figure before him: “Don’t be reckless, friend! That’s a powerful elite Blood Clan memb…”

Boom! Boom!

Two echoing sounds appeared to respond to the trench coat man’s warning.

He saw two figures hurled high into the air at a high speed, bleeding profusely, falling like dying birds with broken wings.

One of them crashed onto the ground, sliding nearly ten meters on the grassland, leaving a long trail behind. The other one, oddly enough, shot straight towards the wooden hut like a bird crashing into a mountain.

With a crash, it left a gaping hole in the hut.

Roar!

A bestial roar echoed from the hut.

The door shattered instantly, and wood chips fell like rain. A monstrous creature, half-man and half-bat, emerged. It had an ugly and hateful face, with fearsome tusks jutting outward. Its bulging pale-red muscles were extraordinarily robust, and its skin was covered with a layer of dark red mane.

“The Blessing of Blood! It’s the Alpha’s Direct Bloodline!”

“He is unstoppable, friend, better be quick…”

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom…

All of a sudden, the half-man half-bat monster appeared in front of the man, its ferocious claws and fists carrying tremendous force and corrosive energy, striking him like a torrential downpour. The dull collision sounded like a drum and sparks flew from its claws.

His white shirt was ripped apart, exposing the terrifyingly muscular body beneath. The surface of his body was covered with a layer of grey, resembling marble, as if he wore a heavy suit of armor.

He stood there, his legs rooted in the ground like a tree trunk, his body tall and sturdy like a tower.

He stood still, watching the bat monster’s frenzied attack.

“What the hell….” The trench coat man froze for a moment.

“He’s harder than iron…” Cathy stared in bewilderment, setting down her handgun. She kept smacking her parched lips, and didn’t dare to even take a deep breath.

The air whirled violently, the dust and leaves swirling up and around. The bat monster seemed to have regained some of its composure, it looked up confusedly at a “kind and friendly” face.

It was a face with a broad, malevolent grin.

“Had your fill of scratching? My turn now.”

A fist ripped through the air and came crashing down. The bat monster, at that moment, was so overwhelmed by the formidable force that it felt as if it was a broken little boat swaying amidst violent waves.

“You don’t have to pay for the damage to my shirt…”

A deep voice echoed through the chaotic wind. Just before the bat monster lost consciousness, it heard a final sentence.

“You can pay with your life.”
