After that was done, he crouched a little, showing half his face.

He stepped out lightly and followed after her quickly.

The moon hung high in the sky, looking like an elliptical white porcelain disk. A few clouds were swirling around the moon, like waves on the sea. The soft white moonlight poured onto the ground.

The shadows of the fir trees slanted on the ground, turning into flat black shapes. The slope amidst the woods was full of weeds and wildflowers, and above the meadow, a shaky, faint yellow, old wooden house stood, casting half a shadow.
