Chapter 1000 - 1000 510 Start the War (4000)_2
Chapter 1000: 510 Start the War (4000)_2 Chapter 1000: 510 Start the War (4000)_2 In the damp bow of the ship, a silhouette clad in a black trench coat stared distantly. Casio placed one hand on the tung oil-treated railing, feeling the overall sway of the ship from side to side. He slowly lifted his head, inspecting the crystal-clear sky where a few white clouds floated quietly, appearing soft and cute.
A seabird swept past, heading in the direction away from the fleet.
A few seconds later, a continuous stream of seabirds flew by.
“It’s coming…” Casio lowered his head, his pores standing on end. He seemed to sense an uneasy vibration in the air and the increasingly intense moisture. Something massive was gathering relentlessly.
Five minutes later, the sky suddenly darkened, and everyone could distinctly feel the change in light. Looking up again, there were vast, ink-stained cloud layers as if soaked by ink. They looked heavy, like an entire chunk of sponge swollen with water.
“We’ve entered the storm band…”
On the deck, the professional navigator, formerly of the Navy, spoke loudly. His familiar experience told him that something big was coming.
Before the navigator could finish, a bolt of lightning suddenly split the sky, as if trying to cut the cloud layer in half. The lightning struck the sea surface far away, forming a blue-purple lightning tree. It looked like a giant tree growing from the sea surface extending into the sky, lush with branches and foliage.
Thunder boomed, drumming the eardrums and flooding into the brain.
It felt like sitting on the quiet first floor when suddenly, a dozen large iron balls rumbled overhead, colliding with each other.
The clanging was terrifying.
This was the harbinger of a storm!
Experienced fishermen immediately concluded this and advised the sailors to prepare. The warship’s sails were quickly taken down, leaving only bare poles standing. The sky turned dark at a visibly rapid pace.
“Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom…”
An old fisherman stood on the deck, his aged face blank as he stared at the sky. His mouth slightly agape in utter shock.
It turned out the thick dark cloud layer was descending from the sky. Like a giant hand reaching from beyond, blocking out the sunlight and visibility, about to smash the entire sea surface into pieces. A scene straight out of mythology.
“I’ve been out at sea for over twenty years and have never seen such an exaggerated sign of a storm. The storm that’s coming will be terribly fearsome…”
The old fisherman muttered to himself. Suddenly, another bolt of lightning fiercely struck, startling him into a shudder. He trembled and ran toward the cabin.
At the gusty bow, only Casio stood there. His black cloak fluttered loudly, flipping vigorously up and down like a dark cloud.
He gazed deeply into the depths of the sea, slightly puzzled.
Casio had ascended another step in the Magic puppet secret weapon, and his brain’s perception and warning system had improved. Now, he suddenly sensed malice. It seemed to come from the sky, yet also from the ocean, seemingly omnipresent. This was not the crisis brought about by a natural disaster but a man-made malice.
Was something lurking in the storm, silently watching him?
Whirling and booming…
Thunder and lightning intersected, and the sea wind blew wave after wave of sharp horns, as rainwater pattered down, like a waterfall rushing straight toward them. Large raindrops exploded on the deck, bursting into circles of misty spray. The sound clattered near their ears.
For a moment, everyone on the deck had exceptionally blurred vision.
Bang, bang, bang! The sea waves, like an iron-cavalry general leading a massive army, plunged headlong, furiously attacking the lower part of the ship’s hull, roaring angrily.
The force that made the ship sway wildly was hair-raising.
The surging sea water was whipped up by the gale, lifting waves of white foam to the sky. Looking into the distance, within the heavy rain, the sea and sky blurred together. It was impossible to distinguish where the sea ended and the sky began.
Whoo…
In the chaotic storm, there seemed to be a prolonged growling sound.
A few seconds later, another growl came, clearer this time.
With each sound, the location seemed to come closer to the fleet. After ten continuous roars, that thing was almost at an arm’s length from the warship. Waves pushed forward layer by layer, nearly overturning the ship.
“It’s the sea demon! Devil Fish! Damn it, I swore I never wanted to encounter this monster, yet here I am…”
The fisherman, gripping both the rail and his limbs tightly, displayed a face full of fear. The Devil Fish he mentioned was a giant sea demon, passed down among fishermen for thousands of years. A legendary monster, so huge it was unbelievable, roaming the seabed like a giant iceberg. Numerous fleets had been swallowed by the Devil Fish during their voyages, sinking vast riches and ships into the sea.
In the midst of a raging storm.
At the bow of the ship, Casio’s feet seemed glued to the deck, immovable. He looked at the surging sea surface and a cold smile appeared on his face.
“Woo…” Another prolonged howl suddenly approached.
“Stop pretending to be a ghost! Come out!”
Casio leaped down, his entire body piercing the water surface like an arrow released from a bow. His advancing figure resembled a high-speed drill, instantly plunging into the seabed. Boom! An explosion sound suddenly came from beneath the fleet.
Waves surged up, and the ships scattered in all directions at once.
Revealing the open water in the middle.
Only then could the people barely see a huge dark silhouette under the sea. The area occupied by the shadow was large enough to hold two fleets. The pressing mass induced an intense sense of terror.
“My God, sea demons are real! Devil fish are real! This giant sea monster is active in the storm area of the Everlasting Islands!” an old fisherman exclaimed, his hands tightly gripping a pole, his lips white as a corpse’s.
“We’re doomed!”
“I knew it, this money was too good to be true! A whole thirty trips’ pay, and it turns out it’s for my life!” The sailors also despaired, having heard legends of the sea demon and devil fish.
“Doomed?”
“Who’s doomed?”
“It’s this sea monster that’s doomed.”
Hehehe, encountering the Demon Image Casio only leads to one outcome…”
One by one, fighters emerged from the cabin, unconcerned about the violent storm and the swaying ship, and walked straight to the edge. They looked at the gigantic creature below, showing surprise but no fear.
A hundred-meter sea monster, so what? The legendary devil fish, so what?
Is it as huge and hard as a mountain?
After the closing of that international exchange meeting, many elders and gate masters from the Secret Martial Arts World had specifically gone to that mountain outside East Sea City.
The mountain forcibly shattered by the brute force of Casio’s golem!
“No need to panic, continue sailing.”
“We will hold off the storm, just keep moving forward…”
As the words fell, one by one, the fighters released their Qi and auras. Their massive and formidable auras expanded instantly, enveloping the entire fleet. They forcibly isolated the rainwater and the gale inch by inch.
The deck was suddenly calm and dry, refreshing.
The crew and guides suddenly looked up, seeing various manifestations of boxing will in the sky – whether a white round moon, dazzling stars, crimson pupils, judgmental swords, glazed mythical beasts, or towering giant statues. Filled with strong will and explosive power, they instantly suppressed the forces of nature.
Boom!!!
A sudden loud noise erupted above the sea surface, like a volcano exploding.
A huge hundred-meter dark silhouette burst out of the water, careening across the surface, splashing wildly with each impact, forming an irregular cavity in the misty rain.
Swish!
A figure burst forth from the water, transforming into a high-speed gliding meteor, chasing after the devil fish. Launching from behind but arriving first, it intercepted the devil fish in mid-air.
Bang!!!
The mythical sea monster was blasted apart by a tiny figure airborne.
Blood sprayed into every corner, coloring a large area of the sea red.
In the midst of the blood rain, Casio caught something and then glided back to the bow of the warship. His clothes remained dry and neat, as if nothing had happened. He spread out his palm and quietly observed.
