I Can Program My Body?

Chapter 52: Embedding Crimson Eye Astral Art

A month later, after days of work with barely any rest, Nash finally created a runic program for the Crimson Eye Astral Art.

[Training Module System:

Void Eye Training (Advanced)

Crimson Eye Astral Art]

Tapping on Crimson Eye Astral Art, Nash checked how it worked.

[Senses: Eye - 100%

Training Program: Crimson Eye Astral Art

Estimated Saturation: Unknown

Estimated Time: Unknown

Estimated Cost: Unknown]

"There’s not even any proper data..." Nash sighed.

Beyond the 100% saturation rate, he was walking blind.

Without a reference or a large amount of data, he had no choice but to test the Crimson Eye Astral Art himself.

"Begin..."

With a single command, the Crimson Eye Astral Art automatically activated.

Guiding the void energy passively absorbed by his body to his eyes, he felt like they were burning to a crisp.

Feeling the unbearable pain, Nash quickly left his body and entered the runic space.

"Hah~ It’s still comfortable here," Nash sighed in relief.

No wonder, according to Fin, his virtual tutor, those with weak bloodlines could only use the Crimson Eye Void Art at the peak of the Void Warrior realm.

Burning your eyes with void energy surpassed all pain thresholds.

Without a high bloodline to lessen the pain, using the Crimson Eye Astral Art in the early stages was impossible.

This made Nash even more suspicious of Elias’s identity.

To carry and train with the Crimson Void Art, Elias had to have a relatively high bloodline.

But for now, Nash put those concerns aside and focused on the changes in his eyes.

[Senses: Eye - 100.01%]

"It increased so quickly!"

In just a few minutes, his Eye void saturation rate had increased by 0.01%.

It might seem slow, but this was already fast compared to the bottleneck he faced to reach 10% saturation.

However, looking at his consumption, Nash could only smile wryly.

That 0.01% advancement had cost him a void crystal.

If he wanted his eyes to reach 200% saturation, he would need at least ten thousand void crystals.

And this was only the beginning. The higher the saturation rate, the greater the cost.

Fortunately, the Crimson Eye Astral Art didn’t just nourish his eyes.

As the void energy flowed into his eyes, it left traces along the way, increasing his body’s overall void saturation rate.

For every 0.01% increase in his eyes, his body’s saturation rate advanced by 0.001%, a tenfold difference.

Feeling satisfied with the Crimson Eye Astral Art, Nash decided to celebrate with his squadmates.

After a month of training and consuming thousands of void crystals, they had finally advanced to official Void Warriors.

Now, the Crimson Phoenix Squad had reached the top 30 without even doing anything.

---

"Captain, you’re out!" Amber said excitedly.

Because there weren’t many missions, and they feared being attacked in the dark, they stayed at the base despite advancing to Void Warriors.

With nothing else to do, most of them trained their abilities.

But their Captain, Nash, seemed addicted to the virtual world.

Aside from eating and hygiene, he never went off the virtual dark pod.

"I thought of taking a break," Nash smiled.

Because of the difficulty of creating the runic program for the Crimson Eye Astral Art, he had to test various prototypes in the virtual world.

With no time to do anything else, he barely knew what was happening in the outside world.

"This is good, Captain. You should balance work and rest. Staying cooped up in a room isn’t good for your body."

"I know..." Nash sighed.

Even though he understood the importance of rest, the dangers of the world wouldn’t let him calm his restless heart.

"Let’s eat first. I’m hungry." Nash changed the topic, noticing that they still wanted to lecture him.

"Alright, Captain!"

Ordering and cooking a feast, they dug in.

One of Nash’s greatest pleasures in life was eating.

Ever since he had experienced relying on insects to stay satiated, he vowed to eat like a king every day.

Unfortunately, Earth’s environment was limited.

Even with money, there was only so much they could buy.

Gorging on the massive meal, the squad slumped back into their chairs with stuffed stomachs.

"Hah~ If we eat like this every day, we’ll turn into lazy pigs..." Hector sighed, rubbing his stomach.

"How could we get fat with void energy constantly purifying our bodies?" Emily refuted, rolling her eyes.

As they chatted about various things, Nash suddenly heard from Hector that the Void Commanders of the Alliance had returned.

"They’re back? What happened?"

"Apparently, they just returned from Nova Planet a few days ago."

"They negotiated with the Arlean Civilization and secured jurisdiction and management rights over Earth."

"Now, they’re reorganizing everything to clean up the mess."

Although Hector explained it in simple words, the process had been anything but easy.

Nash didn’t know what twists and turns the Void Commanders had gone through, but now that they had officially taken over Earth, the void signal blockage should finally lift!

Excited by the news, Nash put aside his training and waited for the next developments.

---

Soon, Earth’s power structure began to shift.

With the Earth Horizon Alliance in control, various official positions were assigned to squad leaders.

Aside from the four major states managed by Void Commanders from the Alliance, the rest of the territories were distributed among the squads.

The squad leaders only needed to mine void crystals and pay taxes based on their territory’s population and economy.

The same applied to the military and police forces.

Aside from key positions taken by the Void Commanders, everything else was handed over to Earth’s squad captains.

It could be said that these cosmic forces of the Nova Sector had completely relinquished control of Earth.

Their goal was clear, mine as many void crystals as possible and leave.

Thinking of Arthur and the others who had left Earth months ago, everything made sense.

They must have known Earth would return to its original owners sooner or later.

Naturally, they wanted to extract as much value as possible before that happened.

By delegating Earthlings to manage their planet, they would not only gain the favor of an up-and-coming Tier 1 Scientist but also ensure faster void crystal mining.

Aside from the risk of having such loose control that it might collapse at any time, they had no major downsides.
