I Can Give Talent
Chapter 320 – Changing Plan

I see. So Alchemist Anda invited me for Ava's sake. What a nice lady. No wonder Ava acknowledged her as the Big Madam. She truly acted as one. She identified that Ava was lonely, so she invited me, her best friend, even if it meant sharing her husband with another woman. What a selfless Big Madam.

Barbara's impression of Anda kept getting better and better.

On the other hand, Ava couldn't help but roll her eyes and curse inwardly. This panda is really a great actress. Furthermore, her panda eyes were so sharp that she could even notice her loneliness due to a lack of close friends, and she immediately used them as a card to lure the naive Barbara into the Leyan Family. Ava sighed; the more she knew Anda, the more she felt afraid of her. Pandas weren't supposed to be this scary, you know.

On the other end of the cloud communication, Anda lounged on a plush couch inside a carriage, her usual mischievous smile curling her lips as she basked in the morning sun's golden rays, its warmth spilling through the open window. While it was the middle of the night on Ava's side, it was just sunrise on Anda's side. Right next to her was the celestial cloud she was using to speak with them.

Tamina was already out practicing her digging ability. It had been a year since she discovered her digging talent, and she practiced it every chance she got.

In the same carriage, Lilian sat in meditation as usual, but without her Qi circulating, meaning she was attending to her garden.

When Anda reunited with Lilian last time, she was shocked to learn that Lilian could use her voice.

Lilian recounted what happened to her, and Anda was mindblown by everything. Becoming an apprentice to a real goddess? A Divine Being that could traverse the universe? Absolutely incredible. Even without using her ability, she knew Lilian wasn't lying at all, or how else would her cultivation have risen so fast?

However, what made Anda speechless was that, for some reason, Lilian had convinced herself that Leyvi was a reincarnated god, and she would help Anda in her cause to restore Leyvi's divine power. Where did this even come from?

Well, Anda could see how Lilian came to that conclusion since Leyvi gave her the garden that led to her meeting with her Divine Mentor. At first, Anda thought about telling Lilian that Leyvi wasn't a god, just a normal human. But since Lilian seemed to have become more devoted to Leyvi because of this, Anda decided to conceal the truth and go along with her fantasy. When Leyvi achieved Divinity later, Lilian's fantasy would end up being true anyway, so why not? What mattered was that Leyvi got all the help he needed to rise to the top!

And since there were bigger worlds out there, Anda didn't plan to stay idle. She and Leyvi would definitely have their adventure in every corner of the universe one day.

"Ahem… Big Madam, women don't marry to accompany their friends. I've never heard of such a thing. Barbara, don't take her words seriously. She loves joking with the ladies," Ava's voice cut through the cloud, tinged with protective urgency.

Anda's mischievous smile widened, her eyes glinting with amusement in the sunlit carriage. She didn't plan to press further. Her nudge was enough for now. Soon, they'd travel together, giving her ample time to plant the idea in Barbara's mind.

"Sure, sure. Is there anything else you want to say? If not, you can start preparing to depart and come to us," Anda said.

Ava was about to stop the communication as well, but she suddenly remembered the spiritual vein.

"Big Madam, actually… I found a spiritual vein here, but I can't bring it with me. What should I do?"

"Wait, Ava! Oh no… That's top-secret classified information! You can't let anyone know about it!" Barbara blurted, her face paling, eyes wide with panic. She should've reminded Ava earlier, but the thought had slipped her mind.

Ava wasn't bound by an oath, so revealing it wouldn't harm her, but the more people who knew of the spiritual vein, the greater the risk of it leaking. And... could Senior Lapin be fully trusted? Barbara's heart raced, her gaze darting to the cloud.

"What? Ava, is that true? Did you really find a spiritual vein on the island where you're at? How did you confirm it was a spiritual vein?" Anda asked, her body straightening.

"Yes. Barbara confirmed it. They've been studying the spiritual vein for a while. If I'm not mistaken, you're looking for a spiritual vein, right?" Ava replied, her tone steady, oblivious to Barbara's distress.

"Ava! You can't tell her that! That's a Cloud Continent top secret… eh? Alchemist Anda has been looking for a spiritual vein? But how did you know? It was supposed to be top secret." Barbara became confused. Did the Envoy troll her about the spiritual vein being a top secret?

"Yes, we're looking for a spiritual vein. But it's a long-term goal for our family. We aren't really in a rush to find one. I didn't expect to find one this early. What a wonderful surprise," Anda said, her tone brimming with delight.

"Alchemist Anda, how did you find out about the spiritual vein?" Barbara asked. She had to make sure it wasn't an insider leaking the secret.

"Through a fortuitous encounter, of course," Anda replied. "Miss Barbara, did you say the matter of the spiritual vein is top secret?"

"Yes. If leaked, it could potentially spark a massive war over it," Barbara said, her tone heavy with worry.

"I see. Since that's the case, you two ladies should wait there. The plan has changed. You don't have to come to me; I'll come to you immediately. It's inconvenient to discuss such a big matter like this," Anda decided.

Ava sighed. "I guess I can't leave this island yet."

"Well, at least you can fly around now. Hehe," Anda chuckled, her tone lightening with amusement. "Alright. Bye for now." With that, Anda ended the conversation.

Ava and Barbara saw the celestial cloud dim slightly while they both remained silent.

For some time, the room was quiet. Ava and Barbara were still digesting everything that had happened.

How could they not? Out of nowhere, someone appeared and solved their biggest problem since arriving here—being trapped on the island. They didn't even have to go through trials or tribulations. Suddenly, no more cultivating for hundreds or thousands of years to cross the lake.

A few minutes later, Barbara broke the silence, her voice bursting with excitement. "Ava, Ava! Look at my new treasure! This celestial cloud is mine now! I didn't even join the Mystic Realm expedition to seek treasure, and now I've got one! Something a King-level demonic beast made with his bloodline ability! A legendary being! Don't try to take it from me, okay? I asked for this cloud first, so it's mine. Hehehe!" Her eyes sparkled, hands clasped as she bounced on her toes.

Ava snapped out of her thoughts, hearing her name called, but the next moment, she rolled her eyes after hearing the rest of Barbara's excited talk.

"Don't worry, I'm not interested in the cloud at all," Ava replied.

Ava found it odd that she wasn't more shocked, that she didn't dwell longer on a legendary being like Senior Lapin working with Anda. In the past, things like this would have made her jaw drop for days. But now, after the initial shock, it just felt.. normal.

Could it be I'm used to this because it's happened so many times? she wondered, her mind drifting as she began tallying the bizarre things she'd witnessed since joining the Leyan Family.

"Ava, do you think it's fine to tell Alchemist Anda about the spiritual vein? This could get us killed, you know. Do you trust her?" Barbara asked, her voice sobering, a flicker of worry in her eyes. When they first met, Ava had urged her to be cautious, yet now she seemed to ignore her own advice.

Ava stopped counting as she heard the questions.

Ava paused her mental count, meeting Barbara's gaze. "Hmm… how do I explain… although that panda is a calculative and cunning person, I've never seen her do anything that harms her people. In fact, they all receive far better treatment than others. You asked if I trust her? Yes. I do. I'd rather trust her than anyone else in this Mystic Realm," she said, her voice steady, conviction shining through.

Barbara blinked, caught off guard by Ava's unwavering response. "I see… then I'll trust her as well," she said, nodding slowly, her worry easing as a small smile curved her lips.

Ava chuckled. "How can you just rely on my judgment like that? Meet and interact with her first, then form your own judgment. But you must be careful; don't get swept away by her words."

"Eh, why?" Barbara asked, curiosity sparking in her wide eyes as she leaned forward.

"Let me tell you, the thing she loves most is her husband… ahem, well… he's also my husband. What I'm trying to say is that nothing matters more to her than him."

"Aw… isn't that very sweet? Who doesn't love a devoted wife?" Barbara praised, her voice warm, a dreamy smile curving her lips as she clasped her hands.

"Yes, but this is where her weird personality comes in, and you need to watch out for it."

"Weird personality?" Barbara repeated. Just what kind of weird personality was Ava talking about?
