While Gozzl and the Nether Tree were talking, Zixin who’s now in larva form smelled something interesting and stopped sucking on the tree roots. Instead, he dug deeper into the ground then forward. As for where he was going, only he knew that and so, a worm was digging through the earth millions of feet underground.

"King, can you make some insects that are capable of exterminating all these demons within a year?"

"I can create Gu that are targeted at a singular demon race at a time and I’ve already creating Gu that targets the Vampires. What you just said gave me an idea on a unique Gu that I’m going to create. It might even be the solution that you’re looking for. Give me five days."

A boat so massive that it could fit many planets inside it moved freely in space with plenty of cultivators inside, it slowly approaching the Demon World where the cultivators came to eradicate the demons. The boat was carrying tens of trillions of cultivators from the Celestial Realm all the way to the Overlord Realm.

In this boat, an aloof jade beauty sat alone at an inconspicuous corner of the massive boat. Her white hair and robes fluttered in the wind but her eyes remained closed.

"Yu Fen, sorry to bother you but there’s something important I want to tell you."

A young man with orange-red hair, yellow eyes and a fiery aura approached the jade beauty and talked while she listened. After saying his piece, the young man turned around and was about to leave.

"Qin De, I don’t know how many times I should tell you but I’m not interesting in you nor will I ever be. You’ve been trying to woo me for more than a century and I’ve always rejected you yet you still persist. Let me make things clear, if I’m going to die on the battlefield, I’d rather die than accept your love! Get that through your thick skull!" said Yu Fen in a harsh and cold voice.

[We’ve reached the Demon World! Everyone get off the ship! Remember, the more demons you kill, the more Heavenly Merit you accumulate! Kill as many demons as you possibly can but most importantly, kill the traitors of our plane!] a loud and powerful voice resounded throughout the boat and everyone jumped off.

From the Demon World, the demons looked at the cultivator experts falling down from the sky like a meteor shower with excitement and hungry eyes. Billions of vampires flew up to welcome the cultivators and just like that, the avian battle began with the vampires with the advantage.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The vampires targeted cultivators who were on the same level or weaker than them, swallowing all their blood and leaving husks of flesh but even then, their numbers didn’t diminish in the slightest bit as there were trillions upon trillions of cultivators.

The vampires were having a feast and the weaker cultivators could only accept being food for them because they were helpless against them. By the time the cultivators reached the ground, many Celestial and Transcendent Realm experts had been devoured by the vampires and only a few remained.

[Fight with everything you have! These creatures are evil and malicious, don’t hold back even in the slightest!]

A huge battle ensued with the demons actually having an advantage, this was because the Demon World didn’t have any Spirit Qi or similar energy that the cultivators could absorb to replenish their energy, plus, Death Qi decreased about 50% of their strength so even though they overwhelmed the demons with numbers, their overall strength was halved.

Yu Fen moved around the battlefield with her sect mates and slashed at the demons. Every demon that was cut by her sword turned into an ice sculptor which was then shattered by her. Her sect mates who were also females used similar attacks but they weren’t as potent as hers.

Qin De was also burning away all the demons that approached him with extremely hot fire based attacks. Not even Death Qi could fully suppress his attacks of extreme temperatures. Getting closer to him was like approaching the surface of the sun but the demons were relentless, especially the Hellhounds who were very resistant to flames. All flame cultivators were targeted by the Hellhounds.

The Werewolf demons faught against physique based cultivators, the hyena demons didn’t participate in this war and continued to conquer more planets. The vampires faught with Battle Beasts and seemed to be enjoying themselves very much, in short, the battle was brutal and chaotic. Many cultivators watched their comrades, family members and lovers being devoured by the demons right in front of them, making them lose their sanity and fight more erratic and barbaric.

[My Lord, what do you think? Should I join in on the fun or not?] asked Torta. He was now Shilin’s right hand demon because Zixin had become much nobler than Shilin that he couldn’t have him as his subordinate anymore.

"Not yet. You’re a trump card and trump cards aren’t used in the beginning of the battle." said Shilin while lazily laying on his throne. Fortunately, Zixin wasn’t interested on being the new demon race king after elevating his status and was busy living his worm life and doing worm stuff.

The battle continued for months, the demon army had dropped to about half its original size while the cultivators had lost about two trillion but this number was very small compared to the huge army of trillions. Surprisingly, the cultivators were the ones being pushed back by the demons not just because they were strong but also because many cultivators were tired and injured. The human army was slowly losing hope but fortunately, a miracle occurred. A gentle yet powerful voice sounded far and wide, releasing a pulse of golden energy.
