The old monk who was giving his disciples some pointers felt something that raised his eyebrow then disappeared from his location. When he reappeared, he was at the bottom of the mountain where his temple was built.

"Amitabha, please speak properly." the monk’s voice calmed the man down somewhat.

"Great Master, demons have invaded our world and are causing havoc in the cities! The Demonic Cultivators have joined them in this endeavour, raping and killing our people! Please lend us a helping hand."

"Don’t worry, the Monk Temple shall assist in the eradication of this evil. I shall personally lead this expedition! Just give me some time to prepare."

"As you wish Great Master!" said the man before running away at full speed.

"When one doesn’t seek trouble, trouble comes knocking on one’s door but fortune and misfortune go hand in hand, I just need to grasp the situation and use it to my advantage." said the old monk while counting something with his fingers.

By the time the monks reached the city that was attacked by the demons, all the people had died and the demons were eating them or playing with the corpses. Seeing such vile and cruel acts angered the monks to no end that they immediately attacked the demons.

All the monks skin turned golden and a benevolent and gentle aura permeated from them.

[Annihilate the demons and bring peace to the world!" shouted the lead monk.

"ANNIHILATE THE DEMONS AND BRING PEACE TO THE WORLD!"

The old monk and the elders attacked the hyena demons who were the leaders of this demon invasion while the young monks chose opponents in the same level as them. A few monks looked around and finally chose their opponent, it was an Imp demon that was gnawing on a juicy and soft arm of a child.

"Kill it!" said one of the young monks and they rushed towards the Imp demon.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Something moved extremely fast for the young monks to follow and before they knew it, their heads were rolling on the ground with four red swords laying around them.

"Just because I’m small and skinny, doesn’t mean I’m weak and fragile. Choose better enemies next time." said the Imp and stored the corpses in its storage ring. This Imp was naturally Wan Shui who was now at the peak of the Nascent Demon Soul Realm, a step away from the Soul Transformation Realm.

[Stop running, you vile demon and fight me!]

"Yihihihihihi!" the hyena demon just laughed in response, making the elder monk very angry.

[Damn you... Demon Vanquishing Fist!]

A large golden fist appeared out of thin air and attacked the hyena demon but it kept dodging and running away with its tail between its legs. The monk didn’t give up and kept chasing after it through the streets, as he passed an alley. Another hyena demon was waiting for him in ambush. Time seemed to move slow for the monk and gave the hyena demon a bombastic side eye.

The hyena had its axe raised with a cruel smile on its hideous face and swung down hard. The last thing the elder monk heard before he died was the laughter of two hyena demons.

Although they didn’t look the part, hyena demons are very intelligent and powerful strategists. Every move they make is calculated and not random so thinking that these demons are cowardly, preying on the weak and fearing the strong, then you’re fated to learn a cruel reality like this monk.

After killing him, the monk was immediately devoured by the demons, crushing his golden bones like nothing and swallowing them. In mere minutes, the monk’s corpse including his blood had disappeared.
