As it rained, Shilin stood up from his throne, disappeared and reappeared in front of the skeleton army.

"Why do you have so few troops?" asked Shilin because the skeleton king only came with ten thousand troops, not even making one 1% of the other demon troops.

[Greetings to the Noble One. The reason why I have so few troops is because I can increase their numbers when war begins. I am Torta, the Emissary Of Death and can create my army from the dead.] Torta first bowed to Shilin before responding. Shilin looked at the skeleton with black flames in their eye sockets and wearing black armour, the most powerful skeletons though were those who were riding on skeleton horses.

"Show me."

[Pardon me Noble One but I don’t understand.]

"You said you could raise the dead so I want to see it with my own eyes. Show me what you’re capable of!"

[With pleasure.] said Torta as his black flames pupils burned in an even darker shade of black. The bone staff he was holding lit up in an eerie and crimson light as Torta tapped it on the ground.

[Assemble!]

At first, nothing happened but as more time passed, the ground began to shake incessantly like a massive earthquake. Then from the ground, skeletons of different creatures rose up and walked towards the direction of the Bone King who had summoned them. It wasn’t just skeletons on land that rose up from the ground but also skeletons at sea and these ones were huge. Torta, who was watching everything through Soul Sense, was pleasantly surprised by the unique skeletons this planet had.

[Kikiki, I thank the Noble One for the gift he’s given me.] said Torta as he bowed again.

"I don’t like you." said Shilin before going to meet other demon leaders.

[I get that a lot but I promise to work hard to prove that I’m also worthy of your love.] said Torta even though Shilin had long disappeared.

[Mhm?]

Just then, Torta sensed two extremely unique skeletons that were cooking over at incredible speed and decided to go there. With a single step, he covered tens of thousands of kilometres and arrived in front of the two skeletons.

[How could this be?!] exclaimed Torta while analysing these two skeletons in front of him. These were human skeletons from very long ago but their uniqueness didn’t lay on their age. Their uniqueness lay on the skeletons themselve.

[How could an Undead control the Light Element and you too, such speed is unprecedented amongst those of the same realm! Hahaha, what a huge gain the Noble One has blessed me with!]

One of the skeleton’s exuded a faint glow, indicating that it had a very high Light Elemental Affinity and also a very strong residual Soul. Same with the speed skeleton, it had a strong residual Soul and a very light but durable body.

[Soul Fire Extraction!]

When the Bone King executed this skill, the Soul Fires of all the skeletons under his control vomited out their Soul Fires and turned into dust that was blown away by the wind. The newly awakened skeleton soldiers all turned into dust, the ten thousand strong skeleton army turned into dust including their black armour.

The Soul Fires that Torta collected numbered in the billions which made him very happy as he shared it equally between his two new skeleton soldiers. As the massive amount of Soul Fires poured into the two skeletons, they immediately started to transform and grow stronger.

The Light Affinity skeleton’s bones cracked and reconstructed themselves over and over again but each time a reconstruction of bones occurred, the bones would turn slightly golden and as this process repeated itself, the more golden the bones became. Also, the Soul Fire also turned golden together with the bones.

The other skeleton underwent a different transformation, it became lighter and its bones were also strengthened even further. The eye sockets moved to the side of the skull and the skull elongated and shaped itself like a bird’s head or an aeroplane.

It wasn’t just the physical change but also the change in overall strength. When the two skeletons were summoned by Torta, their strength was at the Nascent Soul Realm but now, their strength was at the Mortal Shedding Realm and still improving.

It should be known that the weakest skeletons Torta had were Rank 7 and the strongest skeletons under his command were Rank 11 so by feeding the two skeletons such powerful Soul Fires, was bound to increase by leaps and bounds.

"Wow, they look very strong. I’m impressed."

[When did you get here?] asked Torta in a calm voice but the blazing Soul Flames indicated just how distressed he actually was.

"With this," said Shilin and conjured a drop of water. He currently had one face and two arms but no legs and his weapons were the gauntlets.

[A drop of water?!]

"To you, its just a water droplet but to me, its much more than that. You see, these past few months, I’ve been contemplating something while waiting for your arrival. The power of the Four Natural Elements is not to be underestimated. These Elements are powerful, very powerful. Torta, you seem like a reliable and capable demon, do you want to be my left hand demon?" said Shilin calmly.

[Noble One, why do you offer me the left hand position when the right hand one is available. I want to be your right hand demon Noble One.] said Torta with a burning gaze.

"I’m offering you the left hand position because the right hand one has already been taken. The reason why I’m giving you this position because not only are you capable but you’re also decisive. Sacrificing all your army just for two skeletons with potential shows your decisiveness."

[Noble One... no! My Lord, if I may ask, who is the one who received the status of your right hand demon?]

"After we’re done here, I’ll take you to him and if you want to be the right hand demon, that will depend on whether you can take it from him."
