Zixin swam very quickly inside the lava like they were in water, Wan had activated his metal body. They deeper they swam, the higher the temperature but they endured until they reached the depths where Wan Shui released an invisible barrier that protected both him and Zixin.

"How long will this barrier last?"

"An hour, I’m expending energy faster than I can recover it."

"I see, then let’s quickly look around."

They then started looking for the flame but didn’t find it, what they did find were black and extremely cold pillars.

"What are these pillars for?" asked Zixin.

"I don’t know." answered Wan Shui and touched the pillar but as soon as he touched it...

"What the hell!" he exclaimed because once he touched the pillar, he could no longer feel Spirit Qi in the environment and even the Spiritual Qi inside him had broken the connection with him for a second before returning.

"What kind of metal is this?!"

"I don’t know but something tells me we should start digging."

Zixin used all his strength but only left shallow cracks on the lava floor, the ground was extremely strong and durable like diamond.

Zixin and Wan Shui didn’t know about the historical significance of this volcanic mountain nor did they know about its secrets, all they knew was that there was a Treasure Flame here and after digging for a few hours, they finally found what they were looking for. The pillars were actually very long and reached great depths.

The lava didn’t pour into the dug hole but was blocked by something, a barrier of sorts. Wan Shui was curious about the barrier and touched it and he lost connection with his dantian again.

"Wait for me outside, I’ll quickly absorb the flame and come out."

"Yes Master."

Wan Shui then swam up the lava pool while Zixin fearlessly jumped into the dark hole. Unlike Wan Shui, Zixin didn’t feel any restrictions or his strength being sealed. He fell for about five minutes which spoke volumes about how deep this hole actually was. Once he reached the ground, the first thing he came across was thick chains that were connected to the pillars.

The pillars had runes or inscriptions carved on them, Zixin didn’t know. He then walked towards the extremely faint crimson glow. The high temperature was very cold here but Zixin didn’t mind and continued walking. It was too dark for him to see what was written on the walls.

When he was very close to the crimson light, he found a few stone tablets and stored them in his storage ring. He was planning on exchanging them for some points in the sect if they were valuable. Once Zixin reached the crimson glow, he was shocked because the crimson glow was actually a thousand meters tall mountain. Extremely big.

’What kind of mountain is this that it’s chained here? And why is it red? Maybe it’s precious metal like the pillars, my storage ring is too small to store it inside. What to do?’ thought Zixin as he touched the mountain and the mountain started to move.

’Is it about to crumble? Yes, this way, I can collect the smaller pieces into my storage ring. Let me help you.’

A powerful roar that shook the entire underground space resounded as two vertical eyeballs glowed brightly in the dark, gazing coldly at Zixin. The four pillars and the chains also glowed in a golden light and faithfully suppressed the legendary creature.

"Oh.My.Goodness. A dragon?! A fucking dragon!" exclaimed Zixin while walking backwards but he hadn’t covered much distance for him to be outside the dragon’s attack range. The dragon lunged at him with its mouth open and Zixin grabbed both jaws from killing him in one bite.

’Release the Unification Realm palm strike!’ said Zixin and the dragon felt a strong force slap it away.

[A human, an actual human! Hahaha, finally, finally I can leave this prison!]
