Chapter 451 - Chapter 451 Chapter 451 Give Up

Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Give Up Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Give Up Soon, they arrived at the balcony of An Mo’s room and saw the brother An Mo had mentioned.

The young man had short, tousled hair and a bright, attractive face, dressed in a modernized Chinese traditional outfit.

When he saw An Mo, a gentle smile spread across his face.

He was as graceful as a noble gentleman, as refined as jade.

However, Mu Lingyun felt that even with such appearance and charm, he was far behind her family’s Crown Prince.

“Brother, you’re back?” An Mo ran over, her voice soft and tender, and even squatted down to hug the young man, saying with great excitement, “Brother, I’ve missed you so much.”

An Yun’s smile was tender and enchanting as he stretched out his hand to gently stroke An Mo’s back, speaking softly, “Brother missed you too.”

Seeing this, Mu Lingyun quietly leaned against the door leading to the balcony, gazing at the scenery outside, not interfering with the siblings’ reunion.

Actually, An Yun had noticed Mu Lingyun from the start.

Therefore, he followed up by asking, “Who is this? A friend?”

When asked, An Mo turned her head to look at Mu Lingyun and said, “Brother, she is my friend, Mu Lingyun.”

Upon hearing this, An Yun smiled at Mu Lingyun and warmly said, “Miss Mu, hello!”

“Hello!” Mu Lingyun always spoke in a languid tone.

An Yun felt Mu Lingyun’s detachment was justified and paused for a moment before turning to An Mo and asking softly, “Little sister, why did you bring Miss Mu here? Didn’t you take Miss Mu to have some food at the banquet?”

“This… that…” An Mo started to speak but stopped, not knowing what to say or how to begin.

“I’ll say it,” Mu Lingyun interjected indifferently, “I’m a moderately competent doctor, and your sister wants me to have a look at your leg. To see if there’s a chance for treatment.”

Upon hearing this, An Yun’s face turned very unsightly, and his voice became icy, “Miss Mu, my leg is none of your business. You may leave now, if you wish.”

Mu Lingyun replied indifferently, “Actually, I didn’t want to come. After all, you’ve given up, so even if there was a chance, it’s probably gone now.”

Mu Lingyun paused for a moment, then continued, “It’s just that your sister came to me, crying and pleading, even apologizing with tears, throwing away her pride. I reluctantly agreed to take a look, but since you don’t need it, let’s forget about it.”

Having said that, Mu Lingyun turned around and left.

“Lingyun!” An Mo wanted to chase after her, but An Yun held her back.

An Yun looked at An Mo, his expression somewhat cold, “Little sister, what did she mean by what she just said?”

“It doesn’t mean anything.” An Mo frowned slightly, “She is a very skilled doctor. I’ve done my research; Old Master Zhou was treated by her. Furthermore, I witnessed it myself: a gunshot victim that no one dared to operate on, she did–and succeeded. She’s so capable, shouldn’t I ask for her help to treat your leg injury?”

An Yun frowned, feeling that what Mu Lingyun said didn’t match what An Mo was saying.

“And about the apology? Why did you apologize to her? What do you mean by throwing away your dignity?” An Yun pressed on.

“The apology is because I used to like her boyfriend and then did some bad things. I’ve realized now that a melon forced off its vine is not sweet; I’ve given up on him and apologizing to her was the right thing to do,” An Mo explained.

After hearing this, An Yun fell silent.
