This story truly takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions in just 92 chapters.
Before I start the actual review, I tell you to not be put off by the tags, such as gender bender, as it's basically not one.
These majority of these emotions, are negative. The author is truly a sadist, and we are the masochists that put ourselves through reading this.
Dual perspectives can be hard to do and write, but this author is able to craft a intriguing story utilizing them amazingly. The two perspectives being our MC, a transmigrator into into this story, that we don't get to learn much about, but gradually learn more about as the story progresses. Then, we have the Protagonist, the main character of the story, who's childhood friend is our MC.
These two characters are extremely layered, neither are one dimensional, as the story mostly revolves around them. The side characters are also interesting to learn about, although some might be introduced prematurely, or not entirely portrayed correctly, there's a reason behind that, which i'm going to talk about now.
The protagonist is unique, some might say it's not in a good way. The unique part being that the protagonist is quite literally on drugs, and sometimes I question if the author is on them too.
This is wonderfully written, i'm not sure how accurately it is, as i've never taken drugs, but it's portrayed wonderfully, if the authors goal is to make none of the readers take them. I wasn't planning to earlier, but i'm certainly not going to do so now.
If you can't perservere though the first chapters though, i'd recommend not reading it, as by then it only gets worse, probably not your cup of tea.
Changed to 5 stars because the ending was surprising.
Overall, great uniquely written story, that satiated my need for something more; something different than the slop that's generated in a daily basis.
Absolute Peak. Man, this story was incredible. I felt so many emotions all at once while reading. The fact that the author managed to tell such a powerful and meaningful story in just 90 chapters is truly impressive. The devastating impact of drug abuse couldn’t have been portrayed any better. Definitely a must-read. 10/10
The fact that the author was able to tell such a complex story in less than 100 chapter is flabbergasting to me honestly. Things like drug abuse and their consquences were so fleshed out. I would not reccomend this to someone who can't really handle sad scenes because this author must be a sadist with all these torturously heartbreaking scenes
PS: Ignore the gender bending tag its not really a main part of the story
Left me fucking speechless. I cried😭. Great plot and characters focus. Never take drugs guys, s*it is tragic. This a quick top tier read that hits the feels. 4.8/5
Jesus fucking Christ this story ripped my heart apart, there were tons moments where I was inches away from crying. The story felt like it got better and better as time went on, don't get me wrong it has the whole absurd events, but overall it felt okay as it wasn't that important. The story is not what it sounds like, this story although fantasy doesn't focus on the academy, threats or even anything else. It is primarily a drama and a hell of a good one. I don't know if the story is an accurate portrayal but it rips straight into you with the topic of drug addiction. As I mentioned it gets better and better, the start is a bit interesting but it really starts hooking you later. It is really short so I recommend just reading it(the normal test of 100 chapters is just a book anyways). This is by far one of the most unique stories(light novels, web novels and just in general) I read for better or worse. Worst comes to worst it is a fun experience either way.
P.S. Ignore the fucking male to female tag, 80% sure that it didn't happen how the person who tagged thought and there is a later reveal that I'm not going to go into but just ignore it!!!
P.S.S. The story is completed ignore the fact that it's tagged as in progress...
I really liked this novel.
It explores story about girl gets addicted to drug and how she perceives the world around her.
It is interesting story I have not seen story about a drug addict.
Warning!! You can't handle depressing and sad moments. Don't read it. Don't read it for romance. Or wholesome moments.(I mean it)
It's f**** up story. In bad way. But I enjoyed.
