I Became The Academy Necromancer
Chapter 385: Side Story - Bloodline

A few days had passed since I arrived in Norseweden. To be honest, it had been a good time.

It really felt like being at home, spending time with Darius and Deia, having lots of conversations.

I also saw Illuania and Sevia every day, and I could watch the baby grow little by little.

It was a fulfilling day.

While back at my house in the Clark Republic, I had indulged in the desires I had been holding back, spending time with the women.

In Norseweden, I was able to enjoy a different kind of peace.

Everyday life.

The sweet days went by, but not every moment was like that.

Sometimes there were moments that stung a little.

“What are you doing?”

It was a time alone with Deia.

When Deia entered my room, I looked around. Just a moment ago, I clearly saw Stella and the Dark Spiritualist playing on my bed, but now they had disappeared.

Findenai had gone outside, saying she would spar with Darius, so there was no one else around.

“…Why is no one here?”

I muttered as I looked around the suddenly empty room, and Deia let out a small laugh.

There seemed to be a lot of meaning behind that smile, and knowing Deia’s personality, I could immediately tell that the situation wasn’t accidental but deliberately created.

“Oh no, no one’s here?”

“What did you say for everyone to listen to you?”

“Nothing much. A little bit of a threat? You know, the younger sister-in-law is the scariest, right?”

“…”

“Well, I’ll eventually be the youngest wife in the house, but that’s something I’ll deal with then.”

“Sigh.”

I sighed at Deia’s confusing words, but I didn’t chase her away.

After all, even if I tried to chase her away, she wouldn’t leave, and we had made a promise—to try seeing Deia as a woman.

Since I had promised to try, I couldn’t avoid her.

“I didn’t come to force myself on you or anything. I just had a question.”

I knew Deia, unlike Findenai, wouldn’t force herself on me aggressively.

So, I didn’t feel the need to react sensitively.

“You have a question?”

“Well, I’ve been calling you Kim Shinwoo, but I’m not sure if the way I write it is correct.”

It was because of my name.

Since my name wasn’t common in this world, it seemed there was some confusion about its pronunciation and how it was written.

“It’s not hard. Just write it as it sounds.”

“Ah, can you show me?”

Deia must have brought a piece of paper and handed it to me. I found her little gestures of curiosity endearing, so I picked up a pen from the desk.

“Here, write your name under this.”

“That…”

I was about to write my name when I noticed that the paper was already filled with dense writing.

At the bottom was a space for a signature, and that was where Deia was pointing.

Seeing this, I couldn’t help but sigh and put the pen down.

“Deia, this is a marriage registration form.”

When I looked at her, wondering what kind of joke this was, Deia smiled and replied.

“Oops! Did I do that? I just grabbed any random paper and didn’t realize it was that.”

“For something random, your signature is already on it.”

“What does it matter? Just sign it.”

“…”

I stared at Deia in silence, and she hesitated for a moment before subtly retrieving the paper.

“It’s just a joke. The only one who’d fall for something like this is Findenai.”

“I don’t know how you see Findenai, but she’s not as clueless as an animal that she’d fall for something like this.”

Deia occasionally showed excessive disregard for Findenai. Well, considering her actions, it wasn’t entirely unjustified.

“So, you’re heading to Graypond soon, right?”

“Yeah. I agreed to meet Erica there, and I heard Aria and Eleanor are waiting for me as well.”

“And Owen, too?”

“Yeah, actually, Owen is the biggest reason. I appreciate his efforts to take over after me, and the continent still needs a Soul Whisperer.”

The souls that had been accumulating on the continent had all gone into Deus’ body, but people continued to die, and their spirits would linger in this land.

That meant evil spirits would inevitably appear again.

The Griffin Kingdom had started to take an interest in Black Magic, but there was still a difference between necromancers and a Soul Whisperer.

That was why I hadn’t taught Owen necromancy.

“Sigh, so this is how it all ends?”

Deia circled the desk in front of me, then suddenly sat on my lap, pressing down on my thighs.

I wondered what was happening, but before I could react, she leaned her back against my chest, propping her legs up on the desk to block my escape.

Her refreshing scent filled the air. She smelled as if she had just been outside moments ago.

“Well, I’ve been trying to appeal to you in my own way, but honestly, I don’t know if it’s working.”

“…”

The reason I couldn’t figure out how to respond was that my heart hadn’t come to a conclusion yet.

Did Deia realize what that meant?

Regardless, she continued talking while sitting on top of me.

“Well, it’s not like today is the end, so I don’t really mind. But still, it’s a bit disappointing. Wouldn’t the feelings I’ve worked so hard to build cool down once we grow distant?”

That was possible. I couldn’t deny it. Maybe I had just been swept along by the flow of our daily meetings.

“Am I really that unattractive?”

Looking disappointed, Deia suddenly grabbed her chest with both hands.

“I may not be as big as the Dark Spiritualist, but I have something, you know?

“That’s… indecent. What are you—”

“Indecent? And what about the women moaning in your bed every night?”

“Y-you heard that?”

My voice cracked without me realizing it, and my expression stiffened. I had been careful, even casting spells to muffle the sounds.

“I didn’t hear anything. But I can guess from when the girls are sprawled out, exhausted every morning.”

Well, it wasn’t something she wouldn’t notice.

I hadn’t done anything to be ashamed of, bfffut hearing her say so bluntly made me feel weird.

“Besides, it doesn’t really matter. Deus used to bring women into his bed every night, too.”

“…”

After saying that, Deia suddenly stood up and pulled me up by the hand as if inviting me to dance.

“Do you know why, unlike me and Darius, your office has a bed in it?”

She pointed her chin toward the corner, where an unused, stiff-looking bed sat, flashing a sly smile.

I didn’t even need to think about it. The answer was obvious.

“Because of Deus, of course.”

He must have brought women in so often that he got tired of walking all the way to the bedroom and just had a bed placed in the office.

“That bastard did things like this, too.”

Deia abruptly pulled my hand and wrapped it around her waist. I tried to pull away, thinking I shouldn’t be swayed, but she tightened her grip.

Pressing her body closely against mine, Deia flashed a smile.

“You wrap your hand around a woman’s waist, then take her to that bed. And then, you lay her down and start right away, right?”

“…Didn’t you have a trauma?”

“Trauma exists, so you can overcome it.”

It felt like she overcame it in the worst way possible. Regardless, I removed my hand from Deia’s waist and responded.

“Sorry, but whatever happens, I’m not laying you down on that bed right now.”

“…”

“Deia, this is too soon. I’ll go to Graypond first and then—“

“Seriously.”

I was about to suggest we think about it some more, but Deia bit her lip tightly and glared at me.

“Did you really never feel anything for me?”

Her eyes turned redder, and a hint of resentment filled her gaze.

“You said it yourself. You’d give me a chance. But from what I’ve seen, you’ve just been using that as an excuse.”

“…”

“Not even a single time did your heart race? Not even once? Not when I’m trembling so much just from being with you. My heart feels like it’s about to burst.”

“Deia.”

“You still only see me as a little sister! You say otherwise, but that damn rationality of yours! It’s stopping you from being swayed by your emotions!”

Deia was an incredibly sharp woman. Her ability to read people and situations was wasted on just staying in the North.

Maybe that was why.

After clashing with me countless times, she was bound to notice.

My rationality was indeed unyielding, and without realizing it, I kept pushing her into the role of a younger sister.

“Just once. Tell me the truth.”

Her eyes brimming with tears, Deia’s plea was almost desperate.

“Like back then, when you asked me for just five minutes. And for those five minutes, you never told me a single lie.”

I could never forget.

It was the first time I revealed to someone that I was Kim Shinwoo, not Deus.

“Give me five minutes of honesty. Have you really never felt anything for me? Have you truly only ever seen me as a little sister?”

The truth.

Even as Deia desperately sought a single word of honesty, I couldn’t answer.

Biting my lip, I suppressed the truth that was about to spill out.

Seeing Deia on the verge of tears, I could only shake my head.

That it wasn’t true.

That subtle gesture.

“Hmph.”

In an instant, Deia’s tears vanished. With a sly grin forming on her lips, she suddenly wrapped her hands around my waist.

“Huh?”

Swept up in the moment, I was pulled by Deia, and before I knew it, I found myself lying on the bed.

Everything had happened so naturally.

Before I could even process it, Deia was already straddling me, tossing her sweater aside.

“W-Wait, Deia…!”

“You are the one who broke the promise first. You said you’d give me a chance, but you never really did.”

I hurriedly tried to stop her, but Deia only smirked bitterly.

“Damn it. I never thought watching my idiot second brother screw up someone would actually help me one day.”

If she had learned how to get a woman into bed just by observing, then it was practically a talent at this point.

“It seems like Findenai was right.”

Shrugging, Deia pressed her hands firmly against my chest.

“You can’t hide your bloodline.”

The old Deia would never have said something like this. But as she mentioned earlier, perhaps she had truly overcome her trauma with Deus.

“When it comes to dragging someone into bed, I think I’m more talented. That bastard failed a few times, after all.”

“N-No…”

I was completely bewildered. Seeing Deia’s half-naked upper body, I knew I had to escape.

But just as she said, maybe she really did have a talent—she didn’t give me any time to think.

“Mmmph!”

Deia kissed me immediately.

Unlike before, this time, her tongue intertwined with mine. She was someone who quickly learned and grew more skilled.

“Pwah!”

Breaking away from the long, deep kiss, Deia smiled in satisfaction and declared.

“Let’s see if this talent also extends to the bed.”
