I Became The Academy Necromancer -
Chapter 350: Side Story - Apologize
Creak.
It wasn’t normally like this, but today, the sound of the door creaking was unusually loud.
And as I stepped outside out, I saw Findenai and the Dark Spiritualist, whom I had momentarily forgotten about.
I remembered that they were listening at the door, but by the time I noticed, they were seated at the table and avoiding my gaze.
“Don’t go into the bedroom for a while.”
In the end, since both Stella and Velica had fainted, I covered them with a blanket before coming out.
Although they were unconscious, their mental body was still vividly maintained. While I wanted to study it further, I decided it was best to leave them as they were for now.
We had a lot of time on our hands, and they’d probably be overwhelmed if I demanded too much right from the start.
My hands are damp. I should wash them first.
Normally, this would be the evidence required for the mental body research, but since I already had enough samples for research in the bedroom, it didn’t really matter.Although Stella might feel a bit embarrassed when she saw it.
When I returned after washing my hands, Findenai and the Dark Spiritualist, who were whispering to each other, quickly turned their heads again.
They had been keeping silent since earlier, and when I approached, they both jumped from their seats and backed away.
“W-Well, what it is… uh… I’m not feeling well today.”
[I-I’m the same! Oh, my back!]
While it was possible for Findenai, the Dark Spiritualist was a spirit, so there shouldn’t be any physical fatigue.
I briefly pondered over this, but I looked at the Dark Spiritualist just in case.
“Are you really feeling tired?”
[Y-Yes! Ah, I’m so tired! My body feels sluggish, so I think I should just go lie down and do nothing today!]
I hastily grabbed the Dark Spiritualist by the shoulder just as she was about to leave.
[Hah?!]
The Dark Spiritualist was startled; her body began to tremble immediately. Findenai, who was right next to her, immediately ran behind a chair and crouched down.
I didn’t know why they were behaving like this, but for now…
“You have probably entered a state related to your mental body. And now that I think about it, I haven’t checked since then…”
[Waaaaah! That’s not true! It’s not! Haha! I’m not tired at all! I feel totally fine! Being a spirit, I can’t possibly feel fatigued! A spirit can even pass through walls!]
Saying that, the Dark Spiritualist immediately phased through the wall and fled. I was still confused as to why she was acting like this. However, when I grabbed her just now, she didn’t seem much different from usual.
“Why are you behaving like that?”
Findenai, who was hiding behind the chair like a wary puppy, continued to annoy me with her gaze.
Then she flinched, scratched her cheek awkwardly, and tried to smile nervously.
“I-I am just feeling tired today, so I’d like to sleep for a bit…”
“Why are you speaking formally all of a sudden?”
“Formal speech? Oh, right. Formal speech. I’m tired, so I should probably go to sleep soon. And since I’m not a spirit, I probably won’t be of much help with the mental body stuff, right?”
“That’s true.”
It wasn’t late when I entered the room, but I realized it had already become dark outside.
I didn’t know how many hours had passed, but I thought it must have been physically exhausting for someone who had once been a Saintess.
“The bedroom is occupied, so I think you should sleep somewhere else tonight.”
“B-Bedroom! Right? Right. I’ll find somewhere to sleep, so don’t worry about it!”
Startled, Findenai tried to leave in a hurry, but she had no clear destination. It seemed like she just wanted to get away from here.
“What’s going on?”
In the end, I grabbed her wrist as she tried to run away.
“Hiiik!”
Alarmed, she tried to pull away in panic. And since my artificial body lacked strength, I had no choice but to let her go.
Anyway, it was enough to make her turn back to face me.
“Ah, no, it’s just… well…”
Findenai blushed and avoided my gaze. She looked unusually shy today.
And I had only seen her acting like this once before…
Ah.
When I pushed her a little forcefully, Findenai tended to weaken.
Especially when it came to sexual matters, she became naturally timid due to her lack of experience.
“Are you acting like this because you heard what happened with Stella?”
I thought it couldn’t be since Findenai was always the one to make dirty jokes, but…
“Kgh.”
Suddenly, she hiccupped as she looked up at me. Her reaction was a bit strange, but it made me all the more certain.
As I stared at her blankly, she tried to stop her hiccups by forcefully patting her chest, but it didn’t stop.
“You fucking beast!”
In the end, Findenai’s face turned bright red, and she clenched her fists, shouting at me.
“S-Stella was screaming for you to stop! But you just kept rampaging! How the hell did you hold yourself back until now!?”
“It wasn’t sex; it was research. I just wanted to learn more about the mental body…”
“Ah, so, that’s why… you were sucking, biting, and putting it in for six hours, huh?”
“…I didn’t put it in.”
“Then you were rubbing, huh?!”
To begin with, sex wasn’t possible with an artificial body; it would end up breaking instantly.
Even though I was aroused, I was able to prove through my artificial body that rationality came first.
If, like with the previous time with the Dark Spiritualist, it had been an entirely emotional act, the artificial body would have quickly broken down.
“D-Damn! I thought you’d be shy like a virgin during sex, but you just kill the person instead! Is that your preference!?”
“I told you, it’s not my preference. It was for research. But hearing you put it like that, I do feel like I went too far.”
I didn’t feel sorry for Velica in the slightest, but I wondered if I had done something awful to Stella.
As I thought about it, I was starting to regret it a little.
“I should go and apologize. Although it was for research, I did go too far.”
As I turned my body after saying so, I heard Findenai grumbling behind me.
“What on earth did you do to her to make her say stuff like that?”
Although she was complaining, she still followed me subtly. It seemed she was curious about Stella’s current state.
Creak.
As I opened the door and stepped inside, the lingering heat and the smell from the act was faintly present. Findenai was startled and inhaled sharply, but Stella was still soundly asleep in bed.
Since I used magic to clean everything earlier before leaving the room, she now appeared to be resting under the blanket.
“So, it’s Stella now.”
Seeing that Velica’s horns were no longer there, it seemed like Stella had returned, but she was still asleep, her eyes closed and breathing steadily.
“Huh? S-she’s… fine?”
Looking confused as she watched Stella sleep peacefully, Findenai scratched her cheek.
I briefly looked down at the sleeping Stella and gestured to Findenai.
“Sleep in the living room tonight.”
“…Why? Are you planning to do something messy again?”
“Sigh, no, just sleep in the living room.”
“Dang, I need to get out of here before you pounce on me.”
Perhaps she had finally regained her senses, as Findenai began to return to her usual tone and attitude, moving restlessly and heading straight out.
I still didn’t understand why she was trying to paint me in such a strange light, but anyway, I quietly lay down beside Stella, who was peacefully sleeping.
I had removed the sheet and blanket that had gotten dirty during the act and changed them into fresh ones.
“Stella.”
I carefully moved the hair sticking to her cheek and called her name.
She was breathing steadily without moving, looking like she was truly asleep, but…
“I’m sorry.”
At my apology, her eyes opened slowly, and she glanced at me.
[What are you apologizing for?]
My guess was right. She hadn’t been asleep. In the first place, spirits didn’t need sleep.
She probably kept her eyes closed because she didn’t want to show Findenai her current state.
Stella’s mental body still remained. As she turned slightly, I caught a glimpse of her pure white naked body under the blanket.
Averting my gaze, I responded to her.
“I think I went too far. I let my research intentions spiral out of control.”
[It was really hard.]
I tried to apologize again, but Stella pulled the blanket up to her chin, hiding her expression.
[But still, I-I really enjoyed it.]
She shyly muttered her honest thoughts.
[I didn’t like how sensitive I became to every touch of yours, but… yes, I’ll admit it.]
“…”
[I guess I’m more sensitive than I believed.]
Stella subtly crossed her arms after pulling the blanket down again, her chest brushing against her arms, causing her body to quiver slightly.
[I-I understood what it means to feel like I might die from pleasure. I guess I’m lucky I died early.]
“That’s a joke, right?”
[Of course.]
She even mixed in a joke, which was unusual for her, but it seemed that Stella didn’t dislike it.
[On the other hand, I’m a bit worried. If I got this exhausted just from you using your hands, what will happen when we go further later? Velica says I’ll get used to it, though.]
“I don’t know how to respond to that.”
I didn’t really know.
As I stared at the darkened ceiling, Stella cautiously burrowed into my arms.
I subtly extended my arm so that she could rest her head, and she smiled contentedly, placing her hand on my chest.
[The fabric is rubbing against me, and it hurts.]
“…”
[It hurts.]
It was a blatant request for me to undress.
I sighed and briefly got up from the bed. After removing my clothes, I lay down next to her once more.
“Wouldn’t it be better if I stepped out of the artificial body and we remain together as spirits now?
When I made that suggestion, Stella quickly returned to her previous position and answered.
[No, please don’t stay in your soul state. If you do that, it feels like you’re truly dead.]
“…Right, that’s true.”
I was trying my best to be considerate, thinking Stella might like that, but instead, I ended up being the one receiving consideration.
Entering the artificial body was a means to clearly admit that I was still alive.
[Are you going to stay like this tonight?]
“You can’t sleep. Actually, I can’t sleep either since I’m in this artificial body.”
We couldn’t do something like have a good night’s sleep and welcome the new morning.
However, on the other hand…
“That’s why we can stay up all night and talk.”
[Hehe.]
Did she like that?
Stella squirmed with the hand she placed on my chest, rubbing her cheek against it.
[This is the first time a night experience has made me feel this excited.]
Even in the darkness, Stella’s bright smile was clearly visible.
Tonight, I would become the moon for the Saintess who loved me so much and light up her night.
Of course, after staying naked together for a few hours, it didn’t just end with a conversation.
But by then, it was an act of affection, not research.
**[**Heh, heh! Ah!T-that feels good]
Each time I moved my hand, a sultry voice escaped from Stella’s lips.
