I Became an Ant Lord, So I Built a Hive Full of Beauties -
Chapter 252: Jokes and Lunch
Chapter 252: 252: Jokes and Lunch
---
Kai stuffed / choked his mouth with three slices of roasted lizard leg. "It’s the system’s fault. I am stuck with beauties with perverted heads."
[System Notification: Not my fault. You were extremely handsome and horny. You take them in. The system didn’t make you love them last night.]
"Traitor," Kai muttered again.
Akayoroi smiled as she took a slow bite from her own plate. "Their bodies responded to your aura resonance. Their wombs awakened to potential. They are ready for the next step. Maybe you should think about it." She was thinking about reviving her clan.
"Next step?" Kai asked, now alarmed.
Azhara blinked. "Like, egg-hatching step? Or baby naming step? Because I’m not naming my child ’Kai Junior.’ I already named his anaconda with that once. I take his anaconda as my master too. I want to serve that master for the rest of my life."
"Wait, what?" Sha stared at her. "... you always shock me with your wildness."
Akayoroi raised a calm hand. "No one is getting pregnant. Not yet."
Vel narrowed her eyes. "So this was a setup?"
"No," Akayoroi said. "It was fate. I simply gave it a throne."
"Poetic," Kai said, chewing slower. "Still terrifying."
"Get used to it," Akayoroi replied. "This hive is evolving. And soon, we will move. After moving you can make everyone pregnant."
Kai paused mid bite. "What?"
"To Monarch Mountain," she said, standing. "You will lead us. When we reach your lair all my sisters will carry the flame of the hive in their belly."
Vel raised her hand weakly. "Can we get flame retardant armor first? His anaconda is very hot. It will burn us." All the girls laughed at the joke.
Sha added, "We also need wheelchairs."
Azhara leaned on Kai’s shoulder. "Or sir Kai could carry us all in his arms!"
"I will not carry any of you," Kai groaned. "Stop dreaming."
"You carried all of us last night," Vel muttered. "You like it too. Our body liked it more..."
They laughed more.
Azhara nuzzled him and whispered, "Thank you, by the way."
He looked at her. "For?"
"For treating us like we belong to you," she said. "Not just... conquests. You love us like we wanted. I am really happy."
Sha nodded. "Yeah... we joke. But we know what you gave us wasn’t just instinct."
Vel grinned tiredly. "Even if I did nearly scream the rocks into powder."
Kai blinked, touched. "I didn’t expect—"
"You never do," Akayoroi said, sitting beside him now, one hand resting gently over his thigh.
"I meant what I said," she continued. "You’re more than a leader. You’re our center. And that center must stay strong."
Kai nodded slowly. "Even if I’m tired?"
"Especially if you’re tired."
The girls finished their food. Slowly. Half falling over themselves, half feeding each other like lazy ants.
Azhara drew something in her journal — a crude stick figure of Kai with "KING OF THE HIVE" written in sparkly letters and a massive glowing... tail. It was pointed out and said my anaconda.
"Please never show that to anyone," Kai groaned.
Azhara smiled sweetly. "Too late. I already showed it to everyone. I got more... they all saw it. Everyone got one hand drawn picture of your anaconda hidden inside / between their chests." free\NovelFire.c o(m)
"...You what?!"
Sha sighed. "Stilly rabbit, why did you tell him we are doomed."
Vel leaned back. "Hey, It’s not a big deal. It is only a picture we can look at when we want. We can’t ask you directly to show it to us, when we want to see it. It’s a girl thing you can’t understand."
Akayoroi nodded in agreement. "She is right. It’s a girl thing. Please don’t ask us to give you the anaconda picture."
Silence fell for a moment.
Until Naaro suddenly sat up with a gasp. And kissed Kai’s lips. "This is a sorry from me, for keeping the anaconda picture. I don’t want to give it back."
Everyone stared. She blinked. "Lunch? Let’s eat lunch."
"Here," Kai handed her a roll.
She bit into it. "You’re the best snake owner ever."
"I’m a man, Naaro."
"Yes, sir, You’re my snake man. Big snake man."
Kai covered his face and coughed. "I regret everything."
They laughed again — tired, raw, but filled with peace.
Kai looked around the room. Five women, each wounded in their own way, finding comfort in his madness. And now... sharing something real (him).
He had started this journey as an ant. Literally. He didn’t expect love. Or laughter. Or glowing eggs.
But somehow... it all made sense. He was king of the hive. They were his queens and concubines. And tomorrow, they will rise together. But today? They’d have lunch. Together.
That was the thought Kai clung to.
The scent of roasted vine meat still lingered in the air. Naaro was halfway through her fourth nectar jelly. Azhara had started humming a weird tune while sketching Kai with enormous wings and exaggerated muscles. Sha and Vel were arguing over who drooled more in their sleep.
And Akayoroi, serene and composed, leaned against Kai’s shoulder as if nothing else in the world mattered except the rhythm of his breath.
But Kai knew better. It’s time tell them about the travel plan. He cleared his throat. "I need to tell you all something. Something very important."
Azhara perked up. "Is it about your secret anaconda training technique? Because I’m ready for level two."
Sha groaned. "Please no more anaconda jokes until we all heal. My hips are still creaking like rotted floorboards."
Vel grinned. "Speak for yourself. My creaks are majestic."
"Not that kind of news," Kai said, raising a hand.
Akayoroi straightened, sensing his shift in tone.
Kai stood and looked at them all, one by one. "We’ll be leaving soon. The journey will start sooner than planned."
Sha blinked. "Tomorrow’s the plan. You mean... tonight?"
"No," Kai replied. "In a few hours."
Vel froze mid-chew. "A few hours... excuse me what? Our body can’t move. You broke us last night. Now you want us too leave sooner..."
