Chapter 1102: Chapter 644: Lis’s Advance Preparations (Part 2)
Don’t rush, this concerns the strategies Lis will face against Demogorgon and the Endless Abyss invasion in the future. There is still ample time now, no need to decide hastily.
Moreover, besides the God of Dawn, Lis has other options available.
However, apart from this matter, Lis also needs support from the Church of the Gods for other reasons.
"Morris, I have one more thing to tell you, and I hope you can notify the other churches."
Lis’s expression turned serious as he looked at Morris and spoke.
"Okay."
Morris was a bit surprised but nodded, waiting for Lis to continue.
Then, Lis began to explain his exploration of a secret realm, once left by the demigod strongman [Death Lament], discovering that the realm was actually orchestrated by Demogorgon. The secret realm was, in fact, a fragment of a certain layer of the Endless Abyss that could open a passage to the Abyss.
Lis was certain that in Gaia World, such secret realms were definitely not isolated cases.
The destruction of the Elf Royal Court by Demogorgon showed that this Abyss Prince had been preparing for this for an unknown amount of time.
Countless years have passed, and Demogorgon has likely planted many traps and backdoors within Gaia World.
Looking back, this might explain why, so soon after the Endless Abyss demons began invading, Gaia World’s alliance of tribes fell into an extremely dire situation.
It was as if Gaia World was instantly infiltrated by the demons, plunging the entire world into an abyss of blood and fire.
Now it seems those opened "Abyss Gates" were possibly Demogorgon’s advance preparations, utilized on the eve of war.
Having uncovered Demogorgon’s methods, Lis would not miss the chance to weaken the side of the Endless Abyss demons.
However, given Lis’s current resources, he could at most arrange "Nature’s Wrath" to search for these secret realms formed by Abyss Fragments on Fanor Continent; but he had no capability to intervene in other continents.
But aside from Lis and the Elf Kingdom, the Church of the Gods would surely be very interested in such matters.
True Gods have always been wary of Abyss Lords, including Demogorgon.
For the Church of the Gods, such matters are something they’re more than willing to handle.
After Lis’s explanation, the smile on Morris’s face completely vanished, replaced by a somber expression.
One could say this was the moment Morris truly embodied the majesty of a legendary strongman; other extraordinary professionals facing Morris now would surely be fearful, but it did not affect Lis at all.
Lis’s news brought a considerable impact to Morris, reminding him of the destruction of the Elf Royal Court.
The Church of the Gods understood that the fall of the Elf Royal Court was not the end but only a beginning.
Especially after the appearance of Lis as the World Tree Favored, informing them of the pollution of World Tree Yggdrasil by Abyss Destruction Power.
This made the Church of the Gods alert and they carried out numerous arrangements.
Collaborating with the Elf Kingdom and Lis’s established "Nature’s Wrath" was one of them.
Now, with Lis presenting his news, Morris instinctively questioned the authenticity of this intelligence but quickly dismissed the thought.
In such circumstances, Morris might not trust anyone else, but he could certainly trust Lis, the World Tree Favored.
Others could be spies planted by Demon Prince Demogorgon, but Lis certainly was not.
"Lis, it’s not that I don’t believe you, but this matter is indeed too significant."
Morris paused briefly, then looked at Lis and asked:
"Are all those Abyss Fragments truly arranged by Demogorgon?"
What Lis spoke of was something Morris had never heard of before.
The division of the Abyss Plane, connecting plane fragments with the Gaia Main World as future invasion stepping stones.
This kind of operation was indeed too exaggerated, even Morris found it hard to believe.
If what Lis said was true, then Gaia Main World might face threats from Abyss demons everywhere, and the thought of how many might perish was something Morris dared not imagine.
"Of course, if it wasn’t Demogorgon, he wouldn’t have discovered me so quickly."
Lis shook his head with a bitter smile:
"I was almost caught by Demogorgon."
"...I understand."
Morris nodded and continued:
"I will inform the church with what you’ve said, leave the task of uniting other churches to search those Abyss Secret Realms to us!"
"Also, Lis, be careful from now on."
Morris looked at Lis seriously and said softly:
"As long as you’re willing, the possibility of future ascension to powerful divine power is very high, and we hope you won’t have any mishaps."
Due to Lis’s status as the World Tree Favored, the Church of the Gods pays significant attention to him.
Lis is likely to become a critical force in the future defense of Gaia World against the Endless Abyss threat.
Though Lis has only recently become a Legend, the previous World Tree Favored held intimidating identities, consequently raising Lis’s status as well.
Upon hearing Lis was nearly captured by Demogorgon, Morris’s heart almost stopped.
The status of World Tree Yggdrasil is already poor, and should Lis be captured, Morris dare not imagine how deteriorated the World Tree would become.
"I will."
Lis nodded affirmatively.
Honestly, his past experience was truly too thrilling.
Experiencing such an incident once nearly took his life, and Lis certainly does not want a repeat.
Handing over the matter of searching for Abyss Fragment Secret Realms to the Church of the Gods, Lis felt rather reassured.
"Oh, here, take this."
Lis handed Morris a sheepskin scroll.
"This is..."
Morris opened it to find it contained names of places, some known to him, others he had never heard of.
However, what intrigued Morris the most was that these locations were distributed not just on the Fanor Continent, but other continents in Gaia World as well.
"This is where Abyss Fragment Secret Realms might exist, best to concentrate efforts to clear these areas first."
"Hmm?"
Upon hearing this, Morris was startled, immediately memorizing the place names on the scroll before carefully storing it away.
"Lis, where did you get this intelligence...I see."
Morris looked at Lis in inquiry, then shook his head with a smile as if a realization hit him.
Lis knew what Morris was thinking, but this information was not imparted by World Tree Yggdrasil; it was derived from the intelligence Lis gathered based on many battlefields during the Abyss Blood Battle in his past life.
Locations where Abyss demons appeared first and most rapidly might very well be where Demogorgon arranged those Abyss Fragments.
However, Lis did not provide further explanation and tacitly accepted everything.
After all, aside from this, Lis had no way to explain how he obtained such intelligence.
Rather, using his identity could allow Lis to selectively provide insights to the Church of the Gods in the future.
Morris leaned slightly back into the sofa, reflecting silently.
He had been contemplating whether the God of Dawn might have foreseen a disturbance in Gaia World, possibly connected to the Abyss Plane fragments that Lis discovered resulting in demon invasions.
But after a moment’s thought, Morris concluded it probably wasn’t.
The intention of the Endless Abyss to invade Gaia World has already stirred vigilance among the Gods, but at least for now, the Gods haven’t discovered any substantial activity hinting at Abyss demons being on the move; demons and devils were still battling on the Wanyuan Plain.
Meaning the Gaia World side has some time to prepare.
"Let’s not speak of this for now."
Lis took a sip of his tea and smiled as he spoke:
"Morris, your conspicuous arrival at Danerluo Port, is it to catch the attention of those two churches?"
Lis referred to the Church of the Ocean Goddess and the Church of the Storm Lord, the two churches with the most influence on Lis’s territory.
Although the Dawn Church had extended its influence here after Lis became a lord, it couldn’t gain significant clout in a short time.
"Indeed, that’s the intention; I planned to have them come to me voluntarily."
Morris sighed, speaking somewhat placidly:
"But now, I just want to resolve matters here quickly and make a trip to the Holy City."
