I Am Unaware That I Am the Peerless Martial God -
Chapter 871: As expected, it couldnt withstand a single blow
Unexpectedly, a lingering sword shadow swept over, scaring the two men in mid-air so badly that they stumbled and crashed to the ground.
Meanwhile, Yi Feng was still chopping away at the dog-headed soldiers.
It was as easy as slicing melons and cutting vegetables.
Before long, he had already finished off over a hundred of them.
He clapped his hands together and let out a sigh.
But just now, he thought he had seen some humans?
Curious, he glanced in that direction.
The two men who had fallen scrambled to their feet, ready to bolt, but when they noticed Yi Feng's gaze on them, they froze like icicles, trembling uncontrollably.
"Bro... bro, think of something, hah... hah..."
"I'm thinking, I'm thinking...""Have you thought of anything yet...?"
"I'm praying now..."
"Bro, praying won't help—he's walking toward us..."
"Ah, I'm dead, I'm done for, ah..."
Gou Da flopped onto the ground, rolling his eyes and lying completely still.
Seeing this, Gou Er also rolled his eyes back, clutching his chest and convulsing. "Hah... hah... I'm done for too, I'm dead, I'm dead, ah..."
The two pretended to be dead while secretly cursing and wailing in their minds.
"That damn bastard, what did we ever do to him?!"
"Exactly! Wherever we go, he follows—did we dig up his ancestors' graves or something?!"
"Damn him, cursed by the heavens, struck by lightning, this demon, this tyrant, shamelessly bullying the weak..."
"I curse him to have sons without dicks."
"I curse him to stay single forever."
Gritting their teeth, they braced for death, sensing Yi Feng standing right beside them, watching.
However.
To their surprise, a gentle voice sounded in their ears.
"Fellow countrymen, no need to pretend. The demons are all dead now. It's safe—you can get up."
With that, Yi Feng helped them to their feet.
The two, caught in their act, stood shakily, legs wobbling as they faced the kind-looking young man.
Their trembling worsened when they saw the mountain of dog-headed soldier corpses piled nearby.
Seeing their terror, Yi Feng sighed.
These demons have caused so much suffering!
These two were lucky to have run into him and survived.
But look how scared they are—how pitiful!
"Ah, don't be afraid, my friends. I'm a good person."
Yi Feng reassured them warmly.
He reached out to dust them off, but the moment his hand touched them, their legs gave way, and they collapsed like limp noodles, bawling and begging for mercy.
"How pitiful!"
"Poor souls."
"They must still be in shock..."
Their state made Yi Feng sigh even more deeply.
If not for his system finally pulling through, he might have ended up just like them.
"Hurry home now, and stay indoors. Don't wander around recklessly."
"As for helping you, don't feel indebted. It was nothing to me."
"And no need to ask my name—Yi Feng does good deeds without leaving a trace."
With a faint smile, he turned away, hands behind his back, leaving without taking even a wisp of cloud...
The two knelt there, trembling for a long while, before realizing Yi Feng had truly left. Only then did they slump to the ground in relief.
"Bro... we made it out alive."
"Yeah, we survived, cheated death."
"But why didn't he kill us?"
"Seems he mistook us for humans."
"Whew, never thought that'd save our hides."
"What are we waiting for? Let's report back to the master in the Demon City before that guy comes back!"
"Go, go, hurry!"
The two transformed into streaks of black light, darting toward the Demon City.
Not long after.
Gou Da and Gou Er knelt on the ground, sweating profusely as they recounted everything that had happened.
The black fog before them remained silent.
Neither angry nor particularly concerned.
"Lord Evil Wolf, you mustn't underestimate this human—he's a demon!"
"Yeah, he slaughtered millions of our lesser demons like they were weeds—just swish, swish, whole fields gone!"
"And the Forest of Terror? He drove us out of there too!"
"Now he's come to the Demon City—you must take this seriously!"
Gou Da and Gou Er urged frantically.
"Report!"
A black streak shot in, landing and kneeling respectfully. "Lord Evil Wolf, the human outside is approaching the Demon City—he'll be at the gates soon!"
"Hmph!"
Finally, the black fog stirred.
A massive hand waved within it.
In the next instant, everyone in the hall appeared atop the city walls.
From the towering ramparts, they could clearly see a white-robed figure walking toward them from the horizon.
Soon, he stood right below the walls.
"A mere human brat, daring to challenge the Demon City alone? Such audacity!"
From the fog, a wolf-headed, human-bodied figure flickered in and out, exuding oppressive demonic energy.
"My lord, this human is no joke!" Gou Da warned.
"Worthless fool! Scared of a puny human?"
The shadow backhanded Gou Da, sending him crashing into the wall.
Trembling, Gou Da didn't dare speak another word.
"What do you think?"
The demonic figure seemed to be talking to itself.
"He does give off a dangerous aura." Another shadow emerged from behind the first—identical in appearance. It was Evil Wolf's twin, Ruthless Wolf.
At his appearance, all demons present dropped to their knees in reverence.
Everyone knew Ruthless Wolf was even stronger than Evil Wolf, though he rarely showed himself, lurking in the shadows until critical moments.
"Then it seems you'll have to handle this." Evil Wolf mused. "You're stronger than me—you'll finish him quicker."
"Fine, fine. It's been a while since I last fought. Might as well taste human flesh again."
Ruthless Wolf chuckled coldly, surging down the wall in a cloud of black fog, engulfing Yi Feng in demonic energy.
Within the fog, a claw emerged, locking onto Yi Feng with deadly intent.
On the wall, Evil Wolf smirked. With Ruthless Wolf making his move, this human was as good as dead.
Gou Da, Gou Er, and the other demons relaxed.
Then.
A sword flew out.
"Clang!"
Ruthless Wolf, brimming with demonic power, was pinned to the wall.
His energy dissipated like a deflating balloon.
Staring in horror at the blade through his chest, he realized—this was it?
"Oh."
"Pathetic as expected!"
Yi Feng glanced at the Evil Wolf he had pinned to the city wall, his face expressionless as he rolled his dead-fish eyes.
Just as he thought.
With his vast experience, he’d long known that lone demons like this were nothing but weaklings.
Did it really think it could make him lose another robe worth two immortal crystals?
Not a chance!
Yi Feng retrieved his sword, casually plucked out the demon core, and strode toward the city gate, his demeanor icy.
"Hello? Anyone there?"
He called out.
