Lasers and bullets were whizzing through the air. Several soldiers in the front row of Bright Moon City were mortally shot before they could react, their bodies pierced by laser fire. The rest were saved by their battle armor which deflected the bullets. By the time they were returning fire, many of the Peace Party soldiers had already been knocked down by lasers.

"That man must be one of the leaders of the Peace Party. Kill him first." Xu Tianyu directed, pointing at a grim-faced Xu Changchi. As soon as he finished speaking, several powerful New Humans rushed out, lasers and bullets from their weapons homing in on their targets with pinpoint precision.

"Not good!"

Xu Changchi let out a cry of surprise, as a New Human crashed through a group of soldiers and leaped into mid-air. He fired all his laser weapon’s energy, tossed it aside, and then pulled out a long blade, slashing it down.

"F*ck!"

Cursing under his breath, Xu Changchi was unarmed except for a laser weapon. This New Human was already close, and there were several Level 4 New Humans right behind him. If he kept firing his weapon, it was likely he’d be killed instantly!

"Come and help me!"

Xu Changchi shouted, and a figure arose from behind the defensive wall, a high-strength compound bow in his hand. He drew the bowstring back to its fullest extent, aiming at the New Human nearest to Xu Changchi.

The sighted New Human quickly rolled to the side.

The next second, an arrow lodged itself in the ground where the New Human had been. Chunks of cement shot up from the impact of the arrow!

The Peace Party soldiers’ faces went pale with fear but Xu Changchi had already dove into the Gujin Base. When he emerged, he wielded a heavy sword made of H-Steel, which he lifted high into the air, shouting, "Who are we?"

The Peace Party soldiers, startled by his voice, reflexively responded, "We are the Peace Party!"

"And what are we about?"

"We are fierce waves that wash every corner of the world! We are wild sharks, fierce tigers, and ferocious wolves!"

"Right! We are also the watchers. Now, with a major enemy upon us, what should we do?"

"Kill!"

"Zombies aren’t terrifying, humans are! Charge my disciples!"

"Kill! For honor walks beside us!"

In an instant, the morale of the Peace Party soldiers soared as countless soldiers streamed out from behind the base’s gates, roaring as they raced towards the soldiers of Bright Moon City.

Gujin Base had recently witnessed a massacre where its top brass were wiped clean by the Peace Party. However, the reassuring aspect was that this so-called Peace Party, apart from promoting peaceful coexistence between humans and zombies, had yet to commit any atrocities. They even encouraged the survivors to start farming fruits and vegetables, ensuring no one in the base would starve.

After witnessing the Peace Party’s shows, people began to believe that zombies truly could live in peace with humans. This gave the year-long survivors, who had been hiding in dark corners without taking risks, newfound motivation.

As for Bright Moon City, it seemed just like the Peace Party, looking to seize control of Gujin Base. But now the people understood the benefits of the Peace Party controlling Gujin Base and they weren’t sure what would happen if Bright Moon City took over. So they chose to stick with the Peace Party. At the very least, under their management things wouldn’t be too bad. If Bright Moon City ruled like the previous power holders of the base and monopolized food, it would truly be disastrous.

Xu Changchi used the heavy sword to slash a soldier of Bright Moon City, then was immediately faced with an approaching New Human. The abnormal-looking black Zombie-cleaver in his hands was lifted for an attack.
