"Damn it, where did that thing go?"

He smashed a wall. In the desolate expanse before him, Gao Shunan aggressively swept the rubble from his head. With each breath, his huge nostrils exhaled two plumes of white smoke.

"We don’t know, Old Bei and the rest are all dead." One of his men strolled up and mentioned. Hearing this, Gao Shunan’s anger boiled over. He turned around and smacked him so hard the man was sent flying. Then he said, "Let’s go."

From the moment they started chasing the spider, he knew that this creature was devoid of any detectable aura. He didn’t even bother to check the surroundings for any suspicious activity. Now, things were still the same.

With only a handful of men left, he meandered through several streets and into a narrow alley. Along the way, he grumbled in frustration for not being able to obtain what he wanted. He punched a wall into pieces every few steps.

Just as he was thump, thump, thumping his way to the end of the alleyway, he saw a gigantic object not far away. His pupils dilated in shock as he quickly backed up back into the alley.

"What’s up Brother Gao?"

"Damn, it’s a Level 5 zombie!"

The words barely left his lips when they heard a roar and then a thunderous sound came.

"Its back is facing us, it hasn’t seen us. It’s probably chasing someone else, let’s go!"

Gao Shunan thought quickly. As soon as he heard the roar, he knew it wasn’t targeted at him and his crew. He led his men out of the alley and they ran to the right. His followers glanced back and almost had their souls scared out of their bodies.

It was a zombie tiger, standing about eight meters tall and over twenty meters long. It just smashed an apartment building and pulled an evolved dog from the ruins. People underneath the crumbling building ran out while avoiding the falling debris, some were shouting in despair with sorrowful expressions on their faces.

"Damn!"

’Damn’ was apparently the name of the evolved dog, and this man must be its owner. They’ve probably spent a long time together and he had grown emotionally attached to it.

Just as the man cried out ’Damn’, the zombie tiger swung its paw and a powerful gust of wind exploded from it. The man was smashed into a pulp by the immense force of the Level 5 zombie.

"Go!"

Gao Shunan broke into a run. Even though he was a Level 5 New Human, he was reluctant to fight a Level 5 zombie if it wasn’t necessary, as it was pointless. Humans remained humans, even the enhanced ones like him. Without weapons, there were limited ways to attack, whereas a zombie’s entire body was a weapon.

Roar!

The zombie tiger, still not satisfied after gobbling up two living creatures, sensed more living beings behind it. It whipped around and spotted Gao Shunan and his men trying to escape.

With zombies’ innate sense towards living beings, the tiger quickly recognized that the fleeing group was of a high level and their consumption would provide a significant amount of energy. Excitement filled it instantly. It roared like thunder and its robust limbs exploded with power. Its burst of speed was fully unlocked!

"Motherf*cker!"

Gao Shunan realized the tiger was chasing them. Faced with the onslaught of a fully sped-up tiger - a Level 5 zombie tiger no less - even as a Level 5 new human, he had no confidence in outrunning it.

Moreover, with the spider and the girl nowhere to be seen, Gao Shunan decided to stop running in his increasing frustration. He yelled, "Fight, you assholes!" Then he withdrew his Attack Dragon-03 and pointed the thick muzzle of the gun at the charging Level 5 zombie tiger, charging up for an attack.

Sss~

A red beam of light started to take shape within the muzzle of the gun. Gao Shunan’s face contorted in concentration. "Ssssh" went the gun as a beam of red energy shot out. The zombie tiger, relying on its tough hide and robust physique, didn’t dodge. It roared and charged directly into the beam’s path.

Boom!

Bang!

The red light hit its head and exploded in a burst of fireworks. The tiger’s roar echoed like thunder once more. Once the smoke cleared, they could see a hole blown into the tiger’s forehead. However, it was still alive and even more enraged.

"Hehe."

Gao Shunan smirked, distorting his face. "We’re leaving," he said. Then he led his men away.

The Level 5 zombie tiger had gained the intellect of a three-year-old child. It knew precisely how much damage the laser strike had caused but chose not to give chase. However, as they moved further away, it roared in anger and resumed its chase.

"Damn it, it’s coming again!"

This time, Gao Shunan’s men also felt bothered. They were about to turn around to attack. Even though the laser weapon couldn’t kill a Level 5 zombie instantly, it would certainly give it a tough time.

Just as they were about to turn around, Gao Shunan yelled at them again.

"Do any of you want to die? Let me tell you, fighting this thing wouldn’t only slow me down, you may die, but I won’t!"

The men, shaken, retreated and followed Gao Shunan as he resumed running. However, fate had other plans. They hadn’t gotten very far when they heard the sound of motorcycles. Looking ahead, they saw one after another motorcycle riding out from the corner!

They were a biker gang. At first, Gao Shunan and his men didn’t pay much attention until they noticed a car following the bikers. But when they saw the figure standing on the roof of the car, Gao Shunan almost doubted his eyes.

"F*ck me, it’s the White-haired Zombie King!"

Gao Shunan almost cursed out loud. The figure in a black cloak, with black pupils and red eyes, cascading white hair, and towering body comparable to a Level 1 Strength-type Zombie, if less, was Tang Ye!

The reason for his standing on top of the car wasn’t to show off. His huge body always took up the whole of the back seat and required him to crouch slightly. He found it uncomfortable to sit for an extended period. Too lazy to morph into his human form and unnecessarily waste his internal energy, Tang Ye remained in his zombie form.

"Is this some kind of cosplay?" Someone asked uneasily, not knowing whom they were directing the question at.

"Probably. Isn’t the Zombie King in Lin City? Plus, Lin City was nuked. He survived? And what’s with the people following him?"

As they pondered, they increasingly felt something was off. That wasn’t a Zombie King! It was definitely some stupid cosplay!

Think about it, why would the Zombie King travel all the way from Lin City to Fengming City? Insane, right? Well, zombies are insane to begin with.

Though everyone thought like this, each time they looked into Tang Ye’s eyes, they felt a chill run down their spines. Their pace slowed noticeably.

"F*ck, this is weird."

"Whatever, they’re a biker gang. Just blast them out of our way!"

Gao Shunan scratched his head. He couldn’t care less about whether the ’Zombie King’ before him was real or not. His enhanced, obsessive temperament left him no room for other thoughts. Subconsciously, he was convinced that the White-haired Zombie King from Lin City couldn’t possibly be in this place! His command prompted his men to yell, "If you don’t want to die, make way!"

Without waiting to see if the bikers had heard them, they turned the handle of the Attack Dragon-03.
