I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World
Chapter 1711 - 1705: Go Peacefully

Chapter 1711: Chapter 1705: Go Peacefully

The world in his eyes shifted between light and dark, and the former Sanctuary City swept by a vast amount of wind and sand would often change into strange places. The oppressive and eerie scenes flashed before him, leaving him frozen in place. Soon, it was as if time itself had been switched off, plunging everything into darkness. From the black void emerged countless hands resembling dead wood, stretching towards him from all directions. They grabbed his collar, his hair, his backpack, clutching at anything they could hold, trying to drag him into the endless darkness.

These innumerable hands appeared so crowded, yet everything was eerily silent. He couldn’t hear the monsters’ roars, nor the rustling of these hands rubbing against each other. What echoed in his ears was faint and indistinct music, an uncanny melody that lingered in his mind. He didn’t respond, his eyes wide and round, and the fear in his heart defied description, feeling on the brink of madness, as if his body no longer belonged to himself.

And just as he felt himself being pulled into the darkness by these hands, a sudden explosion yanked him from the strange hallucination back to reality! Instantly, he felt an overwhelming pain emanating from his body, as if he were alive and being chopped up with a knife repeatedly!

He collapsed onto the ground, and in front of him stood a massive figure, covering him entirely with its shadow extending from the ground. It was Yong, yet the silver skin was crawling with cracks!

"Yong!"

He hesitated, uncertain if the zombie before him was truly Yong, but as soon as he spoke, the silver-armored zombie’s back exploded with a "bang," spewing out a thick black substance that quickly shrank upon contact with oxygen. When he looked at the back again, there was a huge hole!

The silver-armored zombie’s mighty regenerative ability automatically activated, with flesh and blood wriggling and healing rapidly. But just as the hole began to shrink, the sound of "crack-crack" like shattering boards started again, and numerous blood lines appeared all over the massive silver-armored zombie, alarming Ghost Head greatly!

"Yong!"

He shouted, but at this critical moment, the enormous silver-armored zombie suddenly turned around and grabbed Ghost Head violently. Simultaneously, a thunderous noise made him feel like he was flying into the sky, followed by a harsh descent. He was firmly protected by Yong, leaving no doubt in his mind that the silver-armored zombie was indeed Yong!

Facing the sandstorm, he forced his eyes open, seeing nothing but shattered flesh before him. Huge hands had protected him thoroughly, shielding him from harm. He saw Yong, barely left with a mangled upper body, shrinking slowly in the yellow sand.

"You... you didn’t have to do this..."

Yong struggled to lift his head, his blood-red eyes fixed firmly on him. Yong wanted to speak, but his mouth just slightly opened without saying a word. His hand slowly released, and the blood-red in his eyes began to fade. His fingers fully relaxed, Ghost Head lifted his hand slightly only to drop it back down, feeling helpless.

"Brother..."

Using the last of his strength, Yong could only utter these two words.

"I don’t know what’s going to happen next. Any of us could die, or maybe we’ll be separated. I want to do something..."

"Sworn Brotherhood, right?"

"...Hahaha~"

"From today, we’re brothers,"

Images from before flashed ceaselessly in Ghost Head’s mind. Life was just like this; he thought the time before separation was long, but a banquet’s end came unexpectedly fast. His heart overflowed with regret. They should never have agreed to take Huang Fuguang’s list to Fragrant Spring Square. Had they refused, they might have already left safely.

In fact, they shouldn’t have returned to the Sanctuary City from the beginning, foolishly trying to prove the ridiculous value of their lives.

But what was the use of regret? There was no such thing as a regret pill in this world. He had to face all that was worth celebrating and all the cruel realities, with absolutely no other choice!

As Yong’s body quickly shrank, a black-red Evolution Crystal appeared in front of him, and Ghost Head bent down to pick it up. As he gazed at it, an increasing dissatisfaction filled his eyes!

His thoughts became lively at this moment, things he dared not imagine before began to wander in his mind!

All this was caused by his own weakness! If they were strong, none of this would have happened!

In an instant, a bold thought solidified in his heart. Even if he became a zombie, he was determined not to be a weakling! Even if that meant death! He had to try!

"Damn apocalypse!"

He cursed fiercely, his eyes filled with wrath. The next second, he swallowed the Level 8 Evolution Crystal from the silver-armored zombie’s body!

"Come on!"

He no longer wanted to be the ineffectual weak, struggling for that slightest hope to survive!

As soon as the Evolution Crystal passed down his throat, it rapidly dissolved, a massive heat erupting in his abdomen, and Ghost Head’s face immediately became ferocious. His skin turned reddish, veins erupted, deepened, and eventually turned black while muscles bulged in clusters, tearing his clothing!

"Ugh..."

He let out a tortured howl, his mind instantly overwhelmed with useless, chaotic information, like a computer memory filled with countless empty files!

He struggled to control his body, retreating step by step, soon raising his head to the sky, roaring! But the next moment, an indistinct object pierced directly through his body!

Mighty power constantly filled every part of his body, leaving no corner untouched. But his physical constitution couldn’t withstand such filling. His skin quickly cracked under the pressure, along with external interference, caused his body to explode, a mist of blood surged!

Surrounding him echoed strange vibrations, without the interference of Divine God Armor, the presence of Nightmare Zombie King blurred in people’s eyes, like a wriggling jelly. It could be any object or any creature!

Su Sigui approached the now lifeless Yang Xiangfeng, opening the exoskeleton armor he wore. Initially, she didn’t see his face, as copious blood bubbled forth. Once cleared away, inside was his body already shattered into pieces, the head fragmented beyond recognition.

"Rest assured, people will remember you, go in peace."
