Chapter 294: 292, They are having altitude sickness! (Third update)_1

Just as the two Japanese were about to burst into curses, laughing at Ren He, they suddenly began to shed tears profusely without any warning...

Ren He exclaimed in shock, "Japanese friends, what’s wrong with you! Are you feeling unwell? Is it altitude sickness? Japanese people really are physically weak!" He grabbed the Japanese people by the shoulders and began to shake them violently, "Are you okay?"

The two right-wingers were dumbfounded. Although they didn’t know why they had suddenly started crying, they thought they should be fine after a bit of rest. They had climbed snowy mountains more than just once or twice, how could they possibly have sudden altitude sickness?

Impossible, okay!

But the intensity of Ren He’s shaking was just too much. It was so vigorous that their brains hurt, damn it, it felt like their brains would shake out...

What’s worse, the two men were now blinded and couldn’t see anything. Ren He was shaking them one after the other, not sparing either of them...

The two shouted in Japanese that no one could understand, trying to break free from Ren He’s grip, but suddenly found that Ren He’s palm was like cast iron and completely impossible to escape from.

The two Japanese were blind and shaken to the point of madness. Damn it, how could this person be so strong!

Smeier came back after hearing the noises and curiously asked, "What’s wrong with them?"

"It’s definitely altitude sickness!" Ren He said with conviction.

Altitude sickness at just over four thousand meters? Ren He’s comment left Smeier dumbfounded, "Really?"

At this point, the two right-wingers were already dizzy from the shaking and just wanted to close their eyes and rest for a bit, but as soon as they closed their eyes, they heard Ren He exclaim in English, "Don’t sleep, definitely don’t sleep, TV said once you fall asleep, you never wake up again!"

What the hell is this soap opera plot intrusion...

Just as Smeier was about to explain that the two were just experiencing ordinary discomfort and definitely not serious altitude sickness, Ren He suddenly raised his hand and slap, slap, slap, slap, slap, slap, gave each right-winger three slaps, all on the right cheek, shouting, "Don’t fall asleep!"

The two Japanese had just planned to close their eyes and lie on the riverbank to rest, but the six slaps rang in their heads with a buzzing sound, and they were completely dumbfounded!

Smeier inhaled sharply, that hand strength was really something! Watching the two Japanese people’s right cheeks swell up on the spot, swelling like half a pig’s head within a few minutes!

Even An Si, who was watching from the side, felt the pain. He knew how strong Ren He was; with three slaps per person, these two Japanese were pretty much saying goodbye to Mount Everest...

A mild concussion might have been used up... But it was still rather satisfying. An Si was an angry youth himself, and had not gotten along well with Japanese teammates in the team. Now, seeing the genuine right-wingers nearly slapped into unconsciousness by Ren He was truly gratifying!

In a narrow sense, Japanese right-wingers refer to legally recognized organizations with yakuza-like qualities on the Japanese streets. In a broad sense, Japanese right-wingers are the Hawk faction among Japanese political forces, namely, the hardliners in the Japanese conservative parties.

They are pro-American and look down on all Asian countries, striving to rid Japan of its post-defeat national status and take the path of a military superpower. Ren He felt there was no need to be polite to such people.

The two right-wingers lay on the riverbank, tears streaming down as they were dizzied and confused. If Smeier hadn’t known that they cried first, he might have even thought that the two were beaten to tears by Ren He...

Such heavy slaps on one’s own face would probably make anyone cry...

Ren He declared confidently, "This is definitely altitude sickness. They should get down the mountain quickly or it could be life-threatening!"

God damn altitude sickness, even Smeier had no desire to complain anymore; these two couldn’t move because they were fanned by you...

The two Japanese struggled to get up, but Ren He just arched an eyebrow. Did I tell you two to get up? He immediately threw the Emetic Water, and just as the two right-wingers were halfway up, they spewed it all out!

Smeier, disgusted, quickly stepped aside. He wasn’t a good person either. Now that these two Japanese definitely couldn’t climb Mount Everest, he didn’t want to refund their money. So he had Ren He and the others wait there while he went to the mountain village ahead to pay for two people to carry the Japanese back to the town. That way, he had done all that duty demanded.

As for what would happen afterward, who could do anything about him once he was at the 6000-meter camp on the mountain?

Ren He and An Si cheerfully stood aside, enjoying the spectacle. An Si muttered softly, "You grabbed that opportunity so well. As soon as they couldn’t stop the tears, you rushed to take the initiative!"

"Of course," Ren He replied with a smile. An Si didn’t know that this wasn’t just seizing the opportunity. To him, this was about taking action when there is an opportunity, and even creating one if there wasn’t...

Though the Tear Potion and Emetic Water aren’t as high-tech as brain waves or telekinesis from science fiction movies, these down-to-earth abilities often work wonders in real life... They are economical and practical!

In fact, compared to those flashy, fancy abilities, practical little skills like Tear Potion are more Geili in reality.

If he could shoot lasers from his eyes and take down helicopters, would the country allow him to wander outside? That’s literally a human weapon.

So now it’s all good. Ren He was very satisfied. Even if there were flashier abilities available, he wouldn’t want them. They wouldn’t be of any use to him.

After Smeier had someone take the two Japanese down the mountain, they continued on their journey. Now, the team, which originally consisted of 9 people, was down to 7. Perfect.

When the sun rose high enough to pierce through the valley, the temperature soared. By the afternoon, Ren He was already drenched in sweat.

After crossing the bridge, the muddy path diverged from the shore of Dudcosi and wound its way up the cliffs, through fragrant pine forests. Two majestic snow peaks, sharp as flutes, pierced the sky. This was a magical land, but it was far from a wilderness; it hadn’t been for hundreds of years.

Every inch of land had been cultivated with barley, buckwheat, and potatoes. Strings of prayer flags draped the mountainsides. Ancient Buddhist temples and walls engraved with exquisite scriptures stood on the highest peaks like sentinels. When Ren He and his group turned away from the river to climb upstream, the path was congested with long-distance trekkers, herds of yak, red-robed monks, and barefoot Sherpa people bent under the weight of wood, kerosene, and drinks.

In reality, the path into the mountains wasn’t deserted at all. The Sherpa people had their Clan Center Nam City here, a small town.

Inside, there was a normal human society with hotels and other service industries. They would stay in Nam City that night, which hung on the steep slope like a huge, slanted, dish-shaped satellite receiving antenna. The paths between houses were labyrinthine.

By the time they reached here, Ren He could already see the many backpackers who came here to travel.

They might not be like him, setting out to conquer Mount Everest; maybe their journey ended here, but Ren He’s footsteps would not stop.

That evening, Ren He and An Si sat in a hotel room, looking up at the dim light, and Ren He started to miss Yang Xi.

Ren He took out his phone, intending to turn it on and call Yang Xi, but after much deliberation, he didn’t make the call.
