Chapter 1990: Chapter 1984: Wager Duel
Looking at the "aunt" in front of him, Lu Ping’an was a bit surprised and sighed.
The previous meetings had been quite pleasant for him.
Lin Nu exhibited personality traits that he favored.
An outgoing girl with lively and cheerful nature, vibrant but carefree, generous in actions without being pretentious....
"In every way, the opposite of me, isn’t it?"
Thus, a gloomy and paranoid mature...lady, cunning and scheming with deep negative emotions, the constant pressure freak slowly whispering in Lu’s ear.
This time, since he had to face this Big Shot, Lu Ping’an naturally used his best state, "Cat Transformation," but during the Soul and Body Unity, Lu didn’t seem to manage his inner thoughts well.
"Alright, alright, liking something doesn’t mean it’s suited for me. Wildflowers smell nice but are still wildflowers....."
Sincere words, yet clearly jesting and even teasing, Lu Ping’an’s eyes locked on that woman... the green-haired girl behind her.
The contempt in Lu Ping’an’s tone was undisguised, as if in front of him was not a lofty Deity, but just some roadside thing.
"Ha, you’re still as humorous."
The Deity continued to smile, without anger or unease, even though she now stood in her enemy’s Divine Realm.
Neither side made a move, for it would be pointless.
Lu Ping’an’s true form was the Courtyard, whereas Lin Nu’s true form was the Divine Boat in the sky... killing a vessel or consciousness Avatar of the other held no meaning.
The green-haired girl’s phantom shimmered; in the next moment, the middle-aged woman’s figure turned slender... A Deity can reshape matter with thought, should they wish to exert their power.
At this moment, Lu Ping’an’s gaze brightened, not because he was truly interested in this "woman"... he had no interest in dolls, especially those lifelike robotic ones with nearly no emotions, with expressions completely acted.
Lin Nu is an Order God, even more recently established than Chris... For her to ascend to Godhood, she had to "raise funds" quite extensively and had thus been captured by her World’s Reason even more.
On the ground, the Virtual Godhood may still have some human touch, but up in the sky, the main body probably only contained pure logical calculations.
"Chris....."
"Hm?"
"Sometimes, I think your hatred towards her is pointless; the moment she ascended, it was as good as death, right?"
"..."
Silence might be the best answer. In the past, Big Cat would scoff at Lu Ping’an’s audacity without hesitation, as becoming a Deity in the Extraordinary’s consciousness was the highest honor, the emblem of immortality.
As for assimilating with World Rules.... merge with the Dao could still be accepted; even if one’s consciousness lost humanity, one’s reason persisted.
But now, on this path to such a moment, those who can claim they have no regrets are few.
The past discussions had materialized at this moment. Looking at the "Fake Man" before her, Chris sighed, yet her emotions calmed even more.
It’s not that she had let go of hatred and hostility, as they were still enemies, but seeing this "Fake Man" losing grip of emotions reminded her of the past "little sister"... she realized her emotions were pointless... still enemies, still must kill, but hatred no longer served a purpose.
"Can’t even fake emotions properly, truly not in good form, can’t even forge a Virtual Persona well, or intentionally showing weakness..."
The reason for Lu Ping’an’s eyes brightening was sensing an opportunity..... the other had poured consciousness into this place, even to reshape the body, if he were to strike directly, there might be some gain.
His hands glowed with a pale light, but in the end, the brilliance dispersed.
Still, undeniably, Lin Nu, though young, had been illustrious, ranking in the medium-high tier among Proper Gods.
Her scale was still vast despite being reduced..... this Avatar in front held what percentage, 1% or 2%, killing meant nothing.
"Not even 0.3%."
And the Goddess, seemingly saw through everything.
Both looked at each other, taking no action, whereas before they could sit and chat over noodles, now they knew the animosity was inevitable, destined for conflict.
"Eastern Country will never allow us to have an all-out battle."
Speaking seemingly weak words, as a senior, Lin Nu stated reality.
Eastern Country could present a thousand reasons, of why having a full-scale Divine War on Earth would result in disastrous impacts... but essentially, it was biased intervention.
After all, speaking in terms of "Existence Scale," the overly young Lu Ping’an was not yet a match for Lin Nu, and if both sides really did run a Divine Kingdom showdown, the outcome was uncertain... even if Lu Ping’an won, damaging the Trading Land or Courtyard was an utterly unacceptable result.
Lin Nu’s situation was dire, as she faced suppression in all aspects, much like how she once received help from Eastern Country by complying with the times, now she had become the world’s adversary by defying it.
Silence continued, some words need not be spoken, falsehoods and deceit were meaningless, as they were destined to settle the score, possibly quite terminally.
"Don’t tell me you’re suggesting we step outside to fight it out."
Lu Ping’an smirked, not foolish enough to forsake home advantage to clash with Lin Nu in Foreign Domain.
Truly reaching the Exotic Realm, heaven knows if he wouldn’t be mobbed..... no, he would definitely be mobbed.
Currently, he was still in a period of rapid growth, growing stronger daily, remembering it if the other guessed it correctly..... he was even slightly looking forward to their attack, as long as it’s blown up a bit, defined as a terrorist attack, at that point it wouldn’t just be him taking action.
"Of course not... Let’s have a gamble."
"Loser becomes the winner’s Demigod?"
"Not a bad proposition."
The Deity with a girl’s appearance smiled happily, even nodding repeatedly, seemingly approving of Lu Ping’an’s "proposal".
But both knew why Lin Nu initiated the communication; she was seeking an opportunity for change.
A "civil contest," limiting the scope of both sides’ battle, as both were Masters of Life, competing in aspects like Creation and nurturing was feasible, although.....
"I refuse."
But Lu Ping’an simply opted for refusal.
He already held the advantage, and time was on his side, so why engage the opponent quickly on their battlefield... wouldn’t it be better to drag it out until Eastern Country came to help resolve this headache?
Furthermore, astronomical assets, countless lives, all staked on a bet? Too high a possibility the opponent would find an excuse to breach the deal afterward, thus no need to waste effort on such a matter.
"....truly a pity."
The green-haired elf girl gradually turned into a phantom before him, seemingly planning to leave, but a pair of silver eyes locked onto her.
The youth smiled, his hands blooming with silvery starlight.
"Since you’re here, stay... any morsel counts, even the legs of a mosquito, a mature Saintess vessel, leave it behind too."
