Chapter 552: Ruin this Town

The woman in the bed was ridiculously gorgeous. Her smile could hook one’s soul away. However, Gao Ming was not in the mood to admire the beauty. His eyes could see things others couldn’t. Through the gauze and curtain, Gao Ming saw a giant rotting body of a fish.

As the woman approached, the fish's body moved. All the curtains undulated like they were trying to pull Gao Ming into the deep sea.

“Come closer. You’re so handsome that my heart is itching.” Chun Niang extended her fair arm from behind the curtain. It shone like white jade. However, the arm was more than two metres away from her head. It was very strange.

“Do you think I’m handsome?” Gao Ming was quite honest, “Then, you must be really hungry.” Gao Ming didn’t do anything, but from Chun Niang’s perspective, he did everything to seduce her.

Chun Niang moved her body seductively as if trying to envelop Gao Ming.

“Come over here.” The curtains nudged Gao Ming like soft winds. The small rooms turned into a river made from cloth and fabric. The wooden bed was the only boat. The boat rocked with the waves. Everything was bubbly and pink. Gao Ming had no idea how he ended up beside the bed. The curtains were still closed, but Gao Ming could clearly see the giant body on the bed.

Chun Niang was exceptionally pretty. However, her lower body was connected to a giant river fish. Not even the strongest perfume could cover up the smell of rot.

“Come here.” Chun Niang’s voice was alluring, but Gao Ming stopped. The thin curtains around the bed represented a thin line. If Gao Ming had taken another step, many things would have been revealed. The captivating voice called after him, but Gao Ming was unfazed. Chun Niang slowly lost her patience. Her voice was no longer as sweet. It became sharp and rough like she had broken shells in her throat. The movement of the curtains was not as gentle as before. They became giant snakes hiding in the water.

“You have met Tang Hu, right? I can give you what he has. I can give you a wonderful life at Dream Break Town.” Then, Chun Niang’s tone dripped with ice, “Or I could turn you into a servant here. I’ll pluck out your heart, turn you into a paper doll, so you’ll serve me forever.”

“I’m not clean. I just climbed out of a mass grave. The clothes I’m wearing are all from the dead.” Gao Ming sighed. Chun Niang looked like she wanted to swallow him. It was more than mere desire.

“So what?” Chun Niang laughed, “That means we’re meant to be. I was the woman sacrificed by the town to the River God. I was tortured horribly by the Water Dragon King until I was barely a human. In the end, Elder Tang accepted me as his concubine. You are perfect for me!”

The wooden bed shook. The curtains fell to reveal the giant fish’s body, which was covered in spots of death and wounds. Chun Niang moved, and black blood, as well as scales, were scattered on the ground. The absolute beauty glared down at Gao Ming. Chun Niang was vain. She didn’t like to show others this side of her. If Gao Ming showed any trace of disgust or hatred, she would treat Gao Ming with the cruellest methods. They looked at each other for a long time. Gao Ming had no emotions in his eyes. After all, he had already seen everything before the curtains fell. He was not attracted by her beauty or revolted by her ugly body.

“There’s one more reason I don’t want to trouble you.” Gao Ming took out the knife. Murderous energy curled around the character, Zhu. This blade had killed more than just animals. “I’ve angered the town butcher. He swears to kill everyone related to me. We don’t know each other, but you are kind enough to shelter me. How can I trouble you more than that?” The biggest difference between Tang Hu and Gao Ming was Tang Hu was only good at disguises. He resisted the fear and disgust in his heart to befriend Chun Niang to achieve his goal. Gao Ming really treated Chun Niang as a person. He had seen too many monsters to be fooled by appearances.

“That sounds righteous, but I know it’s just an excuse!” The moment the curtains around the bed fell, Chun Niang had already gone for broke. However, she was surprised that Gao Ming didn’t look scared.

“It’s not an excuse. I’m a simple person. I repay kindness with kindness and hatred with hatred!” Gao Ming said, “You have offered me your room as a shelter. If you need anything from me in the future, I’ll do my best to fulfil your wishes!”

Chun Niang didn’t treat him seriously at all.

“I can help you kill Elder Tang or the Water Dragon King.” Gao Ming had already determined who Chun Niang hated the most. He offered, “You were sacrificed by the villagers. Everyone here has your blood on their hands. If you want, I can destroy this place for you.”

Chun Niang hesitated, not because she believed Gao Ming. However, she thought it was funny that a lowly human would dare to claim that he’d kill the Water Dragon King. She did want to kill the Water Dragon King. Elder Tang saved her because of his own desire. After he discovered she had been transformed into her current state, he locked her up in the abandoned yard. She hated everyone in town because they sacrificed her. She used to represent the town’s life and vibrance. However, the villagers ruined her. The curtains were splattered with blood. Chun Niang’s beautiful face was carved by hatred.

“Tang Hu is only using you. He is now Elder Tang’s stepson. The biggest difference between us is that he wants to be a part of this town, but I want to destroy it.” Gao Ming said firmly. The blade was between him and Chun Niang, “If you believe me, give me some time to prove myself. If you don’t believe me, I’ll risk my life to fight to the death with you.” Gao Ming’s tone didn’t change. His words were not a threat. It was the simple truth.

Thankfully, Gao Ming swiped the butcher’s knife, or he wouldn’t have been able to do anything to Chun Niang.

Outside the room, Elder Tang appeared to be fighting the butcher. Inside the room, things were tense.

After a long time, Chun Niang lay her large body back down. She lowered her eyes, “It’s pointless. You can’t even harm Elder Tang.”

“How can you tell?” Gao Ming challenged her.

“Do you see the stone lions outside the Tang Residence? They used to be placed in front of the village ancestral hall. They were moved here by Elder Tang. He represents the villager’s greed. As long as there is greed in people’s hearts, he will never disappear.”
