Chapter 978
The host continued, "As a result of the severity of this incident, it was unanimously decided to make it public and openly criticize those involved. But before that, let’s watch a video."
On the screen behind, a media player pops up, and the video follows suit.
Herc and his gang broke into a grin, exchanged glances, and gave a thumbs up.
The video was the same as what they’d watched earlier, except when Sophia Spence mentioned who was ’hunt’, they muted the three words ’Chloe Collins’.
Thus, everyone knew about their conspiracy, but did not know who the real hunt was.
Before the video even finished, everyone directed furious glances at Sophia Spence and Mitchell Quincy.
"I didn’t realize that this Sophia Spence is so underhanded, what kind of feud does she have with hunt?"
"This is so insidious, she deliberately let the fraudster continue with the original plan despite knowing that members of the Dark Alliance were present. She’s really unscrupulous in achieving her goals!"
"She seems nice enough, didn’t expect her to be this kind of person, totally shaking my world view."
"All of a sudden I feel so disgusted, I can’t believe I’m a fan of hers."
Abusive comments came in waves, one after another, sweeping over the two who were pale faced and speechless.
Jamesson Spence in the audience wasn’t faring much better, feeling greatly humiliated for the second time.
The last time he felt such embarrassment was when his encounter with a swindler was publically exposed.
And now, his own sister had gone and organized someone to masquerade in her place, such a despicable act.
He couldn’t bear another second in this place and turned off the recording!
Facing such public execution, Sophia Spence could not accept it, nor could she figure out what to do.
She did not even know how to argue her case.
The camera focused clearly on her face, no matter what she did there was no way to distance herself from the incident!
Damn it, who on earth recorded her?!
Her so-called perfect plan could have been successful!
Who was it!
Inwardly she let out a roar of anger, and her eyes were lit with rage!
As the spotlight was on them, Mitchell Quincy stood up:" It’s all her plan. I am just hired help, it’s got nothing to do with me!"
The host, with a solemn expression on his face, glanced at the prompt card, and said, "I now proclaim Sophia Spence and her associates disqualified from this competition, and from any competition within the next five years. Here, we strongly censure their deplorable actions. We absolutely will not allow such incidents to occur during the competition. Once discovered, the punishment will be severe and there will be no leniency. This is our official notification!"
Before the sound of his voice had died down, security guards came in and led the two of them off the stage in front everyone, like escorting criminals.
Countless cameras were pointed at them, Sophia Spence tried to cover her face, but there was no escaping the exposure.
She felt as if her clothes had been stripped off and she had been thrown out naked under the gaze of countless eyes, being ridiculed by many. Her pride was greatly damaged!
She turned her head to look at Chloe Collins in the crowd, her eyes met with Chloe’s. Those eyes were cold and indifferent, like they were laughing at her.
Meanwhile, the public insults and laughter directed at her became almost unbearable. She burst into tears and darted out.
After the people had been chased away, the scene gradually quieted down.
Chloe Collins appeared somewhat dissatisfied.
The consequences of being exposed after joining the competition would be different from being exposed before the competition.
If she were exposed after the competition, the two would have infringed her rights and could be prosecuted.
But now, the punishment was merely disqualification and being kicked out.
Thinking this, her gaze lifted slightly. She glanced at the long-faced man next to her who was grinning at her, sighed slightly, the interest in her eyes faded, and her attention drifted back to the stage.
