Chapter 1049
"Later, let’s talk in my study," he said.
She nodded, satisfyingly stuffing a piece of pork belly in her mouth.
Evelyn Thompson pursed her lips and chuckled, softly asking, "Is Chloe starting a company?"
"Mmhm," Chloe didn’t deny.
Evelyn took it as her having this idea and said to Alexander Foster: "Alex, you need to guide Chloe more, she’s still young, lacks experience."
"Mom, don’t underestimate her." The man grinned from the corner of his mouth.
Evelyn: "I’m not underestimating, I’m just worried. Running a company is not an easy task, it’s exhausting, you need to help her."
"Aunt Evelyn, I have experience."
"Have experience?"
Evelyn was about to inquire further when suddenly, a series of footsteps echoed from upstairs.
The three of them turned their heads in unison, seeing Robert Foster running down the stairs, checking his wristwatch.
Today, he was different. Although he still stuck to casual attire, his clothing was no longer the usual green or orange. Instead, he wore pure white, adorned with stripes on the sleeves, and an intricate design in the middle. He wore long pants, but most importantly, he had put on a wristwatch, something he usually didn’t wear. His hair was done, and the scent of perfume wafted over as he approached.
From just his appearance, he seemed much steadier than usual.
"Mom, I’m in a hurry to go out, so not eating," he said.
"Hey, hey, hey, where are you going?"
Robert turned back and gave them a cheeky grin. "A date."
"A date?" Evelyn was momentarily surprised.
Robert shook his car keys at Alexander: "Bro, I’m taking your car!"
With that said, he sprinted out of sight.
Evelyn was bit excited, "Who is Cain going on a date with?"
"Oh, this young man didn’t go racing with those lads, did he!? Ah?!" Her expression changed instantly.
Alexander frowned: "Where the hell did he find my keys?"
Chloe was quietly eating with occasional glances at them both. She could answer both questions but chose not to intervene.
"No, no, he sprayed perfume just now." Evelyn’s face lit up, "When did this lad use perfume? I need to ask."
She put down her chopsticks and picked up her phone to call Robert.
After a while, Chloe and Alexander returned to the study next door.
Alexander glanced at the documents Chloe had just handed him, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, "You plan to take over the Taylors?"
Leaning back in her chair, Chloe replied nonchalantly, "Yes."

At two-thirty in the afternoon, Chloe, dressed casually, arrived at the Taylors’ office.
She hadn’t brought anything except for her phone and car keys.
Upon reaching the reception, she reported her name.
The receptionist glanced at her, excitement in her eyes.
"Aren’t you... Miles White?"
Before Chloe could answer, she exclaimed: "Are you, a big star, interning at our company? Are you shooting a film?"
"Miss Collins," a person suddenly appeared.
The receptionist hushed immediately.
"Hello, I am the secretary of the general manager, you can call me Cindy. The general manager has entrusted me with the responsibility to assign you work, so, please follow me."
Chloe followed her inside, passing a large staff office area, and then entering a long corridor. Finally, they reached a room.
A sign hung on the door: Director’s Office, Publicity Department.
As soon as the door opened, a familiar female voice came from inside: "Have all these photocopied and bring them to me later. Go."
