His Toxic Addiction -
Chapter 41: Marinda?
Chapter 41: Marinda?
For over a few minutes, Arissa stood at a spot as her brain tried to process the previous thoughts that played in her mind concerning her husband.
She swallowed as she took the little hair strands that escaped her ponytail off her face before placing her hand on her chest suddenly feeling hot under an air conditioner without doing anything.
Her mind just betrayed her right now. Frankly, she has not seen any man as hot and handsome as he was but also, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t seen men close as handsome as he was and at the same time, non gave her this feeling of instant desire and lust just by staring.
What did that bastard slip into her body that night they had sex?
She gave one last look at the door the handsome god just walked out of and with a sigh, she took a sip of her water and climbed on the running mill.
.....
Nicklaus sigh as he closed his room door behind him. He cleaned the sweat drops on his body before shutting his eyes.
He drew in a sharp breath as her figure came into his mind and unexpectedly, they messed his mind up. Moving to his dark vanity chair, he sat down and leaned back on the seat, and her firm cleavage peaking out of her bra top stirred a bad reaction in him. He do not fuck one woman twice but now, not only was she his wife but he also wants all of her all over again.
He fastly opened his eyes to stop her image from playing in his head and as if on a clue to distract him, his phone beeped.
Bringing it out of his pant pocket, he looked at the brightened screen and his face hardened a little when he saw the name and the video that was displayed on his screen.
Marinda?
He clenched his teeth with annoyance watching the nude videos Marinda sent to him. All lust and desires he felt earlier disappeared and now only disgust filled his eyes.
His sweet little wife is here messing his brain up and as if that isn’t enough for the devil, a long-time nightstand he was kind enough to spend a little more extra time with greeted him for the first time with her nude pics...
He flipped his phone over and closed his eyes but opened it back lazily. He has to get ready for work.
...
"Shit," Nicklaus cursed under his breath seeing who walked into the dining area door. With a deep soul-searching glare, Geal was escorted down to the seat beside Nicklaus.
Geal frowned, his lips set into a thin line, he asked, "Not happy to see me any longer?"
"I told you not to come close to my house for now Geal," Nicklaus hissed at him and this earned him a glare from Geal.
Geal shrugged his shoulders, "You won’t blame me. Your penthouse is more for sightseeing than for accommodation."
Ignoring him, Nicklaus brought his coffee cup to his mouth and took slow sips from it. He dropped the mug back on the table and picked up the newspaper by his side.
Geal shakes his head seeing the nonchalant attitude set forth by this friend of his, "Tsk so boring." he cursed wondering how he had been friends with a rock all his life without noticing until this point.
"Not to worry, I have already told Amber to cancel all of your important schedules,"
"Why?" Nicklaus cut him off.
"Oh, now I’m here?" Geal asked dramatically as he sat up peeping at all the meals on the table.
"Why did you do such a thing without my consent?" Nicklaus asked still not taking the newspaper off his face which obviously, he wasn’t reading.
Geal raised an isn’t it obvious brow and with a lazy sigh, he replied, "You need a day off. You just got married, Nick," he analyzed slicing some fruits for himself.
Taking a quick scan at Nicklaus, "Just go and take off that suit," he ordered taking a bite of the strawberry.
Nicklaus frowned.
"Don’t worry she did not ask any questions. So your marriage is still safe," he added hurriedly as the moment the dining temperature dropped, he knew Nicklaus’s expression without seeing it.
Nicklaus took the newspaper off his face and glared at Geal.
"So many sacrifices for just a glare," Geal said with a smirk at the corner of his lips before drinking from the coffee beside him.
"So where is my pretty damsel?" Geal asked dropping the coffee mug back on the dining table and looking straight into Nicklaus’s eyes with some irritating innocent look.
"I wasn’t joking about what I said at the hotel concerning how you addressed her name as," Nicklaus reminded with a warning, "I have to be leaving now," Nicklaus announced looking at his wristwatch.
"Huh?" the smirk on Geal’s face whipped away in an instant, "It’s just a day and not a month!" he explained as he tried out his convincing skill on Nicklaus.
Nicklaus said nothing and just folded the newspaper before him.
"You do not have to be such a workaholic. You have a wife," Geal stressed unknowingly annoyed as he watched Nicklaus.
"Enough!" Nicklaus shunned with a grim expression as he stared at Geal, "I do not like being reminded I’m married," he said with a softened voice as he explained why he snapped.
Geal arched a brow at him, "And why is that?"
