Taking a full survey of the environment, Sarah-Jane eyes sharpened as she planned her escape. From the look in that creepy guy’s eyes, she wasn’t sure of her survival here.

Walking down the staircase on her toe to avoid noise since it was late night and an unusual hour for one to be awake, she tried to be extremely careful to not catch the guard’s eyes.

Listening to her environment, she caught a quick sound of footsteps coming towards her. Swiftly hiding behind the patio, she breathed slowly as she waited for the footstep to die off.

Ten seconds later, she finally stopped hearing the sound. Peeking her head out, she secretly scanned the place, and when the pitch night living room seemed empty again, she walked out of her hiding place.

The moment she walked out of her hiding place, her soul left her when she felt a strong arm grab her waist tightly and stopped her from moving.

"Let me go," she panicked as her breathing increased ten times the normal rate, "Who are you? Let me go," she finally screamed when rather than letting her go, the "ghost" lifted her off her feet and dropped her harshly on his shoulder like a potato sack.

"Ahh," she whined in pain as the strong shoulder knocked her breath off when her stomach came into pressured contact with it.

"Let me go," she panicked and fought for her life when she felt the figure climbing the staircase.

’No, no. I can’t go back to where I’ve covered up,’ she yelled in their thoughts.

Hitting the figure rock-hard back, she struggled to be released but it was worthless because the figure was immune to her fist and thus, was unaffected by her worthless effort.

Having no other option, she dug her teeth into the figure’s shoulder blade but that was also fruitless because unlike she thought, the figure did not drop her off after feeling her teeth deep inside his skin, he either whined or stopped walking. If there was anything, his walk step strengthened.

"Please, let go of me," she finally pleaded when she felt them covering the distance she just escaped and more.

She was scared of what would possibly happen to her if Logan finds out about her little adventure and with her short say around that man, she knew it would be traumatizing.

Opening the door to an abandoned room, the figure finally released her. Dropping her on her feet, he fastly switched on the light, and a gasp let Sarah’s lips.

The man breathed roughly as he looked on his shoulder and sadly, she gave him a deep cut with her teeth.

"You are such a mouse!" he seethed at her.

Sarah looked around the abandoned room they were in, "What are you doing here?" Sarah asked in astonishment as she recognized the figure before her.

"What were you doing trying to escape?" the man retorted, rather than answering her question.

Sarah flipped her pink hair off her shoulder, "this is dangerous. Logan already knows his gang has been infected," she warned in a hushed voice.

Taking a deep breath, the man walked to the door and locked it, "They would never find me. I have news for you from ’’him’ You seem to be having fun lately,"

"I’ve been having a hard time here," Sarah snapped at him, "You scared my soul off me. You would have just whispered who you were and then taken me off guard in such a frightening way," she panted.

Rolling his eyes, the man shot her a glare, "You know what you’re in for. So, I suggest you stick to the plan. Escaping this place would meet you with a quicker death because ’he’ would not spare you a second if you flop his plan,"

"What news do you have from ’him’," Sarah finally asked. Logan always checks her bedroom first thing in the morning and last thing before he goes to bed so, it’s only a matter of minutes before that lousy maid of hers reports she’s gone.

"He said you should now act on Plan B," the man said.

Sarah’s eyes widened, "Huh, why plan B? That’s dangerous," she panicked.

"Theodore has been captured. We need to act fast," he briefed, "and from today’s gathering, it was announced that Alfred would be released today. If you handle this well, it would be killing two birds with one stone," the man added with all seriousness.

Nodding her head, she assured, "I’d stick to the plan," it was a good thing he stopped her in time. She might have been dead by now and that was ’if’ she managed to escape.

"I have to get going, Logan would be in my bedroom soon," the girl said hurriedly.

Receiving a go-ahead nod from the man, she hastily walked out of the door - but not too hastily to gather attention.

Getting to her corridor, she paused when she saw her maid going into her door and with a light jog, she caught up with the maid.

"Cynthia I_"

She was about to tell a lie to the maid but all of her words were left hanging when she saw Logan comfortably seated on her bed.

"Logan," she called politely. Turning to her maid, her eyes were fed with the usual trembling sight of her whenever she’s before Logan, "you can leave Cynthia,"

The maid nodded timidly before walking out of the open door.

"You are here," she remarked staring directly into Logan’s chilly unsmiling face, "I went out for a walk," she informed before she would be asked.

Logan nodded at her as his eye searched her. Unknown to her, she just earned a point of mistrust with her rushed reply.

"Why are you here?" she asked standing at the leg post of her bed while staring at Logan.

Logan tried to read her but to his best surprise, she masked all of her emotions the moment she walked into the room, and with that, she earned another point of mistrust.

Forcing a smile on his face, he parted his lips, "There’s a spy in my gang right now. I’d give you twenty-four hours to find him and in that twenty-four hours, your life lies on the outcome of this task," he said.

Sarah’s expression let out a sign of panic and Logan smirked inwardly.
