[ At Vladimir’s Headquarters... ]

The report Vladimir was waiting for had been sent to his email by his subordinate, Luna. She failed to show up last night at the club because she encountered some minor issues with her investigation.

Vladimir ordered Luna to search for Enzo Williams, the guy who disappeared after impregnating his sister, Lanny. He instructed Luna to gather all information regarding Enzo’s profile and background.

He wanted to know if this man was worthy of becoming his brother-in-law. Their father was also strict in choosing in-laws. If the person was useless to their mafia organization, he would immediately discard that person.

He stared at his laptop screen, reading the information related to Enzo.

Name: Enzo Williams

Age: 35 years old

Father: Albert Williams (deceased)- Died from illness

Mother: Samantha Williams (deceased)- Died from vehicular accident

Sibling: Sabrina Smith (deceased)- Died from accident.

Occupation: Former CEO of SACE Group

Vladimir frowned upon reading the initial report. "What a tragic family he has. Everyone died except him."

"Why did he disappear?" Vladimir asked himself as he continued to scroll down the Word document.

Attempted Murder Case: He fled after attacking his brother-in-law, Dominique Smith, the current CEO of Starlight Group. He shot him but failed to kill him. Until now, he was still missing. He is included in the Police Wanted List of York City.

According to the police report, after losing his sister and father, Enzo Williams became crazy, blaming his brother-in-law for everything.

"What an interesting story," Vladimir mumbled as his curiosity was piqued by Enzo, his family, and his tragic story.

On the second page of the report document, Vladimir learned about the transition of management roles and ownership of the company of the Williams Family.

Alfonso Williams, Enzo’s Uncle, took over the SACE Group, now the W Diamond Group. Dominique Smith handed over his Chairman position to Alfonso a year after Enzo Williams disappeared.

"Sigh. What a foolish guy. He let his relatives take over their family business and he became a fugitive. I’m certain my father won’t approve of him being Lanny’s husband. He lost his influence and power, including his wealth." Vladimir shook his head in disappointment.

Having lost his interest, Vladimir lazily scrolled down his cursor up to the last page which contained the pictures of the Williams Family. At that certain moment, someone caught his attention. It was a photo of Sabrina Williams.

Vladimir blinked his eyes for a moment, scrutinizing Sabrina’s photo. She looked so pretty with her innocent smile.

"This is his younger sister... Sabrina."

He couldn’t explain why but Sabrina’s amber eyes and her charming smile reminded her of Athena. He stared at her picture for a long moment, wondering why his heart pounded with excitement.

"Sigh. I think I’m just missing Athena... I always want to see her." Vladimir smiled helplessly, rubbing the space in between his eyebrows.

But for some unknown reason, he felt bad for Enzo’s sister for dying at the age of twenty-four. What a tragic mischief?! Both his sister and his father died on the same day.

"My feisty sister found a very unlucky guy. I hope his bad luck won’t be passed to the twins," Vladimir mused as he folded his laptop, reclining in his chair.

"I can’t understand why my sister is so eager to find this unfortunate fellow. She will gain nothing. I don’t think she is in love with him. She said it was just a fling, no feelings involved between them." Vladimir was clueless that Enzo was Athena’s brother. He was very important to her, and that’s why Lanny gave Vladimir the task of finding Enzo.

Amidst his monologue, Vladimir’s phone rang. Luna finally made a call.

"Where are you?" Vladimir asked with his authoritative voice.

"Boss! Apology for the delays. I am currently on an island with an unstable internet and signal connection. I think I found Mr. Enzo Williams. He is here on this island." Luna relayed the piece of good news.

Vladimir was taken aback for a moment. He has been searching for him for the past two years and now, his subordinate finally found a clue about Enzo’s whereabouts.

"Good job, Luna. Give me all the details. I think I have to visit that place together with my sister to meet him in person and confirm his identity."

"Okay, Boss."

Luna hung up the phone and sent him details about the island.

[ Fortuna Grande Island. 8 hours travel time by road From York City to Eastern Province Port. 2 hours travel time by sea from Eastern Province Port to Fortuna Grande Island. ]

"Hmm. So this is where you’ve been hiding, Enzo Williams. I should take advantage of this to manipulate my sister and put her under my control. She is hard to discipline lately." Vladimir’s lips curled up into a sly smirk.

With that thought in mind, Vladimir immediately contacted Lanny to do some negotiations. He wondered how much she was willing to sacrifice just to see the father of her twins.

"Hello, evil brother! Wazzup! Do you want something from me? Do you miss me already?" Lanny’s teasing voice echoed from the other line.

"I found him," he declared, ignoring his sister’s taunting remarks.

"Found him? Who?" Lanny asked him, clueless.

"Enzo Williams," he stated, making Lanny speechless for several seconds.

Her silence meant she was stupefied by his news. He smirked, imagining Lanny’s face right now.

"What can you offer me in exchange for the information that I have?" Vladimir wouldn’t give the information for free. He wanted to exploit his sister, benefitting from her.

Lanny raised her eyebrow, sensing her brother’s evil motive. ’Hmm. Does he think he can easily manipulate me? No way! I’m not stupid to fall for his tricks.’

"Brother..." she called him sweetly, smiling from ear to ear. "Tell me where to find Enzo... in exchange for... a date with Athena. That’s my condition. Deal or no deal!"

Vladimir: "..."

’Fuck! This clever woman knows my weakness!’

"Of course! It’s a deal!" Vladimir promptly responded.

Upon hearing his response, Lanny’s giggle bubbled up from the other line.
