Vladimir was the last person she expected to see in Lanny’s place.

’Why is he here? Does he know Lanny?’

Her heart skipped a beat when she laid his eyes on his gorgeous figure. This indifferent guy attracted her a lot. Furthermore, he was her savior. She owed him for saving her from those kidnappers.

"Hi, brother-in-law! You are too early today!" Dmitri was the first one to break the silence. He cheerfully greeted Dmitri.

Vladimir just frowned when he saw Sasha. He finally remembered her. She was Sasha Smith, Dominique’s wife... the secretary who stole Dominique from Athena.

Vladimir shifted his gaze from Sasha to Lanny, giving her a questioning look. He was displeased to see Sasha.

Meanwhile, Sasha got one shock after another. Did he just call him ’Brother-in-law’?!

"Do you know him?" Sasha couldn’t help but ask Lanny.

Lanny lifted her eyebrow and said, "Yes. He is my brother. Why do you ask?" She sneered at Sasha. She recalled that Sasha tried to get on her brother’s bed but she failed miserably. She ended up sleeping with Timothy.

’Is she infatuated with my brother?’ Lanny crumpled her face at that thought.

Without a second thought, Lanny immediately grabbed Vladimir’s hand, pulling him to her side. She didn’t like the idea of Vladimir standing near Sasha.

"Get inside," Lanny ordered Vladimir in her authoritative voice.

Both men were taken aback when they heard Lanny’s command. They didn’t understand why Lanny looked angry right now.

"Huh? Why are you ordering me around?" Vladimir complained.

But before he could speak another word, Lanny gave him a warning look. "I said. Get. Inside! Dmitri, bring my brother inside."

"Aye, Ma’am!" Dmitri couldn’t refuse Lanny’s request.

He hastily dragged Vladimir, guiding him inside. Lanny and Sasha remained standing by the door.

"Now, Mrs. Smith, do you still want to continue this conversation together with my brother and Dmitri? I can invite you inside to have a cold drink to cool your head and clear your mind." Lanny said tauntingly to Sasha. Though she invited her, Lanny didn’t give off a welcoming vibe.

"You can also ask my son. He was the one who invited Dominique to come with us to the amusement park."

Sasha hesitated for a moment. She felt like she had just humiliated herself for accusing Lanny and confronting her without solid evidence.

Since Sasha remained silent in her spot, Lanny spoke another word. "How is Mr. Smith? Is he doing fine now? I think you should talk to him first. Instead of here, you should be staying by his side right now."

After hearing that, Sasha looked down, her fingers fidgeting. She was embarrassed for what she did today. She confronted Lanny without considering the consequences of her actions. Now, she couldn’t look straight into Lanny’s eyes.

"I’m sorry. I guess... this is just a misunderstanding. Please forgive me for this inconvenience." Sasha apologized to Lanny.

Lanny just shrugged her shoulders. "Next time, before accusing someone... you have to gather solid evidence of your claim to avoid misunderstandings like this." She lectured Sasha.

"I know. Again. I’m sorry. I was so stressed because of my husband’s accident. The culprit hasn’t been captured yet. And there is someone who wants to ruin my marriage. It’s my fault for venting it out on you, Lanny."

"Okay. Please send my regards to your husband. My son wants to visit him. Can we go there later?" Lanny asked Sasha’s permission. She already gave her a heads-up about Aaron’s visit.

"Yes. I don’t mind. But visiting hours will be available in the afternoon. Just let me know if you are on your way to the hospital." Sasha wanted to prevent Lanny and Aaron from visiting Dominique during the time of the sperm extraction.

"Sure. I’ll message you later. Bye."

Lanny sent her off as she didn’t want to invite Sasha inside the house. She wanted her to go away as soon as possible.

When Sasha left, Lanny returned to the living room where Dmitri and Vladimir were sitting leisurely.

"That woman... why did she visit you?" Vladimir asked his sister, raising an eyebrow. He didn’t bother to hide his displeasure.

"Oh. It’s nothing. She just asked me about something." After saying that, Lanny gave Dmitri a warning look. Her eyes were telling Dmitri not to tell Vladimir about what he overheard a while ago. Dmitri just nodded in agreement, understanding Lanny’s secret message.

"Don’t let her set foot in this place again," Vladimir said coldly.

Lanny chuckled. "Yes. I won’t let her. See... I didn’t even invite her to come inside."

"Good!"

Dmitri just darted his gaze back and forth between Vladimir and Lanny. He didn’t know why the Ivankov siblings hated Sasha.

"Care to share? I wanna know why you hate that woman?" Dmitri asked them.

"Let’s not talk about her. She is just an insignificant fellow." Vladimir butted in.

"Yes. I agree." Lanny supported his claim.

Dmitri watched the siblings with amusement. This was the first time he saw the two getting along well. It only proved that the two truly hated the woman who visited them earlier.

Everything was set for Dominique’s sperm extraction when Sasha returned to the hospital. Dr. Carl started explaining the extraction procedure to Sasha and Melissa before doing the artificial insemination.

After hearing Dr. Carl’s explanation, Melissa accompanied Sasha to the laboratory to get her physical examination result. After confirming her fertilization period with the doctor, they would start the sperm extraction and proceed to the process of artificial insemination.

Sasha was getting excited and anxious at the same time. But she was looking forward to getting pregnant with Dominique’s child.

The two friends went to the OB-Gyne consultation clinic. The two sat down inside the doctor’s office as they waited for the doctor to read the results of her fertilization period.

It did not take long before the doctor approached them while holding the results. The doctor was smiling from ear to ear as she sat down, facing Sasha and Melissa.

"Mrs. Smith, congratulations! You are pregnant now!" The doctor delivered a piece of good news, dropping a huge bomb in front of Sasha and Melissa.
