While Aaron and Kimmy were bonding with Dmitri, Lanny called Athena to give her an update.

"Athena, Oliver thanked me for helping him solve his problem. As a reward, he gave us a free Staycation for three days in one of their resorts. Would you like to avail it and go on a trip together with the twins?" Lanny invited her.

"Yes, of course. I would love that," Athena didn’t hesitate to agree.

"Okay. I will inform the twins. Is it okay with you if we bring Dmitri and Vladimir with us?" Lanny consulted her.

"Yes. I’m okay. I don’t mind. It’s better to invite them. At least, the two can bond with the kids."

"Speaking of bonding, Aaron told me that Dominique is coming with us to the Amusement Park this weekend. Did you agree with that?" Lanny was a little bit worried since Aaron and Dominique were becoming so close.

Athena exhaled deeply. "I’m against it. But I can’t refuse Aaron. He is the one who invited Dominique. And he looks excited."

"Sigh. Why do I feel like our children have a knack for finding their biological fathers? Kimmy is so fond of Enzo. Imagine! She even wanted to adopt him as her Daddy. I can’t believe this is happening." Lanny rubbed her temples.

"I feel you. But Lanny, maybe... you should tell my brother about Kimmy’s existence. My case with Dominique is different from yours."

"Don’t worry, Athena. I’ll tell him. But not now. Once he recovers some of his memories, I will tell him the truth about Kimmy." Lanny reassured her.

"By the way, Athena, Oliver mentioned to me about the lunch gathering with the Williams Family today. I told him to do something that would ruin the good relationship between his father and your Uncle. That’s the only way he can prevent the Williams Family from using his father for their own benefits." Lanny’s eyes sparkled in excitement.

"Thanks, Lanny. Sounds like a great plan. I hope Oliver can pull this off." Athena was rooting for Oliver.

Breaking the connection between the Williams Family and the Jones Family would be beneficial to her.

"Now, let’s wait for his update."

[ At Jones Family Mansion... ]

Melody and her parents– Meona and Alfonso, entered the mansion. They were escorted by the head butler.

Oliver and his parents were already waiting for them in the dining hall.

"Oscar, it’s so nice to be here," Alfonso greeted his pal.

"Please have a seat. We prepared different menus. I hope you will like them." Mrs. Jones gestured for them to sit down.

Melody sat next to Oliver, feeling so nervous.

"You haven’t talked to them, have you?" Oliver asked Melody in a low voice.

Melody bit her lower lip as she gazed down, her fingers clutching her dress. She didn’t have the courage to tell her father that her plan had been ruined. Oliver won’t marry her!

After the exchange of pleasantries, the two families started eating their lunch. The elders talked about business from time to time while enjoying the delicious food.

"Oscar, I think let’s talk about the wedding." Alfonso brought up the topic.

"May I suggest moving the wedding date earlier? It will benefit them to marry each other soon," Alfonso added.

"Why are you in a rush?" Mrs. Jones butted in. It looked like she was against moving the wedding date earlier.

"Hmm. I want to have grandchildren already!" Meona blurted out to lighten the mood, concealing their real motives as to why they wanted to push the wedding as soon as possible.

"I think we need to consult them. We have to listen to their opinions since they are the ones getting married, not us." Oscar turned to Oliver and Melody.

All eyes were on them, waiting for them to speak up.

"Melody, this is your chance. Say it!" Oliver urged Melody to tell everyone that she didn’t want to marry him.

But Melody remained tight-lipped.

Oliver could only sigh helplessly. "Since you don’t want to speak, then I have no choice but to do it."

Melody’s eyes widened in horror. She immediately grabbed Oliver’s hand, giving him a pleading look.

"Please, don’t," she murmured, begging him.

However, nothing could change Oliver’s mind.

Oliver suddenly stood up and announced, "I don’t want to marry Melody. Please stop this wedding now!"

Everyone looked at him with puzzlement.

"Son? What are you saying? Have you forgotten? It was you who convinced us to continue the engagement and the wedding with Melody. Why are you backing out again? Please be a man of your word. Don’t humiliate me with our guests." Oscar reprimanded his son.

"Dad, listen to me. That’s not true." Oliver defended himself. "I was threatened and being blackmailed by Melody at that time."

Oscar and Mrs. Jones were surprised when they heard that. Alfonso, on the other hand, cast a questioning look at Melody.

"Dad, Mom... you have to hear this!" Oliver didn’t waste his time as he let his parents hear Melody’s drunken confession.

"What nonsense is this?! Why are you accusing my daughter? This must be fabricated!" Meona reacted while Alfonso’s face could no longer be painted.

’What a stupid daughter I have?! Oliver caught her again!’ Alfonso cursed inwardly, clenching his fist. He was barely controlling his anger.

"This is not fabricated. I can send this video to everyone," Oliver said.

"Mom, Dad! I was being accused of something I didn’t do. They schemed against me just because they wanted to marry her into our family. They made me look like a rapist. But this was just their evil scheme to force me to marry her." Oliver tried to gain sympathy from his parents as if he was a kid being bullied.

"Mom. Dad... will you still tolerate this? If I were you, I would sever my connections with them! They took advantage of our kindness." Oliver continued.

"Uncle Alfonso was the real mastermind on this!" Oliver revealed the truth to them. Then he played another confession from Melody, telling him that Alfonso was the one who forced her to do it.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones couldn’t accept it. They looked at Alfonso with hostility and disgust.

"Alfonso, I consider you my true friend. But I didn’t expect that you could do that to my son. I cannot let this slide!" Oscar sternly said.

"Starting today, I have nothing to do with you anymore! I will also dissolve our business partnership!" Oscar Jones declared.

"Oscar! You can’t do that!" Alfonso felt alarmed.

"Of course, I can. I am the Chairman of my company! Now, our door is open. You can now leave!"

"You will regret this, Oscar!" Alfonso threatened him as he stood up.

"No, Alfonso. The one thing I regret is that... I trusted you! I trusted the wrong person. Now, go! And leave. You are not welcome here in my house!" Mr. Jones was furious.

With no choice left, Alfonso dragged Melody out of the Jones Mansion. Meona followed them from behind.

Slap! Slap!

Alfonso slapped Melody hard. "Useless brat!! Because of your carelessness, my partnership with the Jones Family was ruined! Get out of my sight!"

Meona immediately escorted Melody, taking her daughter away from her husband’s sight.

"You messed up big time, Melody. I will not side with you this time." Meona also scolded her daughter.

Melody could only cry, still feeling the pain of her father’s slap.
