Chapter 179: Live Stream

At Athena’s penthouse, she sat in her cozy studio, filled with musical instruments and soft lighting. She adjusted her camera, ensuring it captured her piano and the microphone set up in front of her.

Her laptop was in position as the live stream was about to begin. With a deep breath, she clicked the "Go Live" button on her Ye‐Tube channel.

"Hey, everyone!" Athena greeted with a bright smile, waving at the camera. She was still wearing her iconic mask.

"Welcome to tonight’s live session. Did anyone miss me?"

The chat box exploded with greetings and hearts as her fans poured in their love and enthusiasm. Comments scrolled rapidly on the screen.

MrHandsome: "Yes! We miss our singing goddess!"

AthenaSuperfan: "Where have you been, beautiful?"

A Fan: "We love you, Athena!"

"I’m sorry for going MIA for a while. I just got busy with certain projects. I accepted an endorsement project. And several projects are lining up." Athena gave her fans a few updates.

"But I’m so happy to see all of you here. Tonight, I want to dedicate a special song to all my amazing fans and supporters. Thank you for always being there for me."

Athena took her place at the piano, her fingers lightly dancing over the keys in a gentle, improvised melody. "This song is entitled ’Somebody You Loved’ by Lewis Capaldi. I hope you like it."

She began to play, her fingers gliding over the keys with practiced ease. Her voice, clear and soft, filled the room, weaving a beautiful melody that reached out to her listeners.

I need somebody to heal... somebody to know...

Somebody to have... somebody to hold...

It’s easy to say but it never the same...

As she sang, the chat continued to buzz with comments:

"Amazing and a powerful voice as always!"

"Let me be that somebody, Athena!"

"This is my favorite song!"

In the corner of the screen, notifications popped up as fans sent virtual gifts. Diamonds, roses, heart react and other tokens of appreciation flashed by, each accompanied by a personalized message.

"A diamond from @AshforAthena: My beautiful goddess, Athena! Let’s have a date again!"

"@MrTim sent you a rose: Thank you for this beautiful performance! I hope you will sign under me. Let’s do your concert!"

Athena glanced at the messages and recognized the two fans who gifted her. It was Ashton and Timothy.

A few seconds later, a new follower sent an extravagant gift while sending a message.

"One thousand diamonds from @User101409181: For My Love."

The other fans were intrigued to see the generous sender. Since one diamond is equivalent to ten thousand US dollars, the new user just sent Athena one thousand diamonds which was equivalent to ten million US dollars.

Some fans got curious about @User101409181 so they stalked his profile. It turned out it was a newly created account.

@MrHandsome: "Oh Damn! Someone beat our Diamond giver @AshforAthena."

MrHandsome was Oliver’s account. He teased Ashton by tagging him in the comment section since he was always the highest diamond giver among the solid fans of Athena.

@MrTim: "Someone is flexing his money @User101409181. Show your face! We must protect our goddess from a potential stalker and internet monster."

Timothy called out the new follower of Athena who was currently the biggest spender tonight.

Among the fans, only User101409181 didn’t have a profile picture and details. The account looked a bit suspicious to them.

Athena tried to continue her song while a commotion was happening in the comment section.

AshforAthena: "Gosh. Another rival was added to the group. But please don’t bully him. Let’s welcome User101409181. Please be respectful."

It did not take long before User101409181 sent another gift.

"@User101409181 sent one thousand roses: I MISS YOU."

The big spender kept ignoring the comments. He just focused on watching and listening to Athena. One else matters aside from her!

@MrTim: "Oh damn. He is sending cringy messages at the end of every gift."

Timothy reacted once more. He was literally targeting the new fan, creating hate for the new user. He got annoyed since a newbie took the spotlight tonight.

Athena paused her singing for a moment and she did a shoutout.

"Thank you so much, everyone," she said, her voice warm with emotion. "Your support means the world to me. Special thanks to our gift-givers and shoutout to our new member of Athenites...User101409181."

When the fan heard her shoutouts, he sent another comment.

@User101409181: "You can call me Love."

This time Ashton also reacted.

AshforAthena: "Guys. This new fan is so shameless."

Athena could only giggle when she read the comment section. Her eyes sparkled with intrigue when a new comment scrolled up.

"@AthenasLove sent one hundred diamonds."

User101409181 disappeared and @AthenasLove reappeared. It only meant that he finally renamed his account just to annoy and provoke Ashton and Timothy further.

"Let’s keep the music going." Athena intervened since she was getting distracted by the bickering in the comment section. Her big fans started picking a fight against the new fan.

"My Love... since you are very generous tonight. I will dedicate the next song to you. Do you have any requests from me? I will try to sing your favorite song."

@AthenasLove: "I want to dedicate a song to you. Can you sing "Photograph" by Ed Sheran?"

Athena was taken aback for a moment when she read the next comment of @AthenasLove.

"The message of the song is for you."

Athena started to play the piano again and sang the first stanza.

Loving can hurt... loving can hurt sometimes...

As the live stream continued, Dominique sat in his dimly lit study, the only light coming from the soft glow of his laptop screen.

Papers and files were scattered across his desk, but for once, they were ignored. He had pushed aside his usual pile of work, his mind fixated on something far more captivating– Athena’s charming face and her angelic voice.

He leaned back in his leather chair, a glass of whiskey within arm’s reach, its amber liquid untouched. His eyes were locked onto the laptop screen and his hand reached out as if he was caressing her face.

He just registered a Ye-Tube account a few minutes before Athena’s livestream started. A small smile played across his lips as he watched her with loving eyes.

"I miss her already. I want to be with her at all times." He mumbled.

As the last notes faded, Athena looked into the camera, her smile radiant. "Thank you for spending this evening with me. Your love and support keep me going, and I can’t wait to see you all again soon. Stay safe and keep the music alive!"

@AshforAthena: "Are you ending your livestream soon?"

@MrHandsome: "We want more! Please sing us another song!"

@MrTim: "Guys, please convince our Goddess Athena to sign under my company. I will prepare her grand concert for all her fans! You are all invited!"

Athena just let out a soft giggle and apologized to her fans. She had to cut her livestream because an important visitor arrived. She just received a message from Vladimir that he was outside.
