His Mafia Prince
Chapter 74: Not My Tyler

Chapter 74: Not My Tyler

(SASHA)

Seeing Tyler in that state made me sick to the core. On countless occasions, I have left men like that, or even worse than that, beaten and bloody. Their mothers wouldn’t even recognize them when they were healed.

But they aren’t Tyler.

My Tyler.

My omega who I swore to protect.

I failed at my responsibility. I failed him. I took an oath and promised to protect him for the rest of our lives but I didn’t live up to it. I should have kept watch on him. I felt it in my gut that he would try something like this but I ignored it. Now look.

I can’t get all the details of what happened now. They are out of reach and I’m more focused on finding Tyler than knowing what happened to him first. If I had the time, I would have stolen the charts and looked. But I don’t.

The attending doctor isn’t entirely without heart, however. With enough persistence, he gives me a little more information than I had got from the paramedic earlier. He tells me that beyond the beating that Tyler took, they gave him a blood transfusion, and that they gave him emergency care. He told me that the baby escaped the impact by a slim chance. That it was safe.

The only way for him to have been injured this bad was if the assaulter had a personal vendetta. And for it to be bad that he required surgery? I don’t see red. I surpass red. I see fucking black.

Of all the names that I mentioned. Angelo’s was the only name that made Tyler cry. It isn’t an outright confirmation, but at least, it gives me the idea of who to go after. The name is just about enough information that I need. What remains now is going after the fucker.

Much to my annoyance, I’m certain that Angelo isn’t in any of his usual haunts. I guess it is my time to work down his chain of command. That means my next stop is Kasi.

I pound on his door so hard and repeatedly until his omega, Karen, opens up. Her eyes are wide like saucers. I’m sure it baffles her why I’m at her door in person and without protection. "Sasha wh―"

I shove her away drop my duffel bag by the door and storm inside yelling her alpha’s name.

"What the hell, Sasha? What is this?" Kasi storms in from the back bedroom. "What are you doing in my house?"

"Where’s he?"

"Where’s who?" he asks, testing my patience when he knows clearly that I have no time for pleasantries. Or maybe it hasn’t dawned on him yet.

"Where’s Angelo?" I yell frustratedly.

"Why?"

"Because I want to fucking know where he is."

He shrugs. "I don’t know."

If his gaze didn’t flick to his omega, I might have believed him. I unholster the gun from my back and walk to Karen. I throw my arm around her neck before she can get far.

"No, Sasha!" Kasi strides forward. I jam the gun into his omega’s temple and he stops walking. He holds up his hands in surrender.

"Where the fuck is he?"

"Let her go, please." He yells. "She has no part in this.

I’d rather shoot myself in the head than let go of leverage. He knows me too well to know I won’t let her go before he tells me where my fuck up of a stepbrother is. Does he really think I’m in a position to reason with him now? "Were you there?"

His eyes go wide. "Where?"

"Were you with Angelo at the alley?"

I don’t have the patience to repeat myself because if I do that, it will take me forever to get the information I need from them.

He lowers one hand and gestures at the kitchen table hopefully. "Just let her go, then we can talk about this."

With the gun in my hand, I point to the chair. I make sure to wrap my arm securely around Karen’s throat. She is so lithe that I can drag her with one hand if I want to, her toes dragging on the floor as I move.

"Where are you taking―" Kasi asks, half rising from the chair where he just sat.

"Sit the fuck down." I snap, smashing the barrel of the gun a little too hard on Karen’s jaw. She gasps, digging her frail nails into my forearm.

Kasi does as I demand and I back up to the door. "Get the bag," I yell to the terrified omega and release her throat.

She nods and whimpers as she scuffles to get the bag. She offers it to me and I toss it to her husband. I point to his char with the gun. "Tape him to the chair."

"Oh, Sasha ple―" Kasi stops protesting when I yank a fistful of Karen’s hair and pull her head back. She shrieks as she crushes against me.

"Tape him," I whisper menacingly enough in her ear just to make sure the threat is home. "And make it fucking tight."

"How could you do this?" Kasi whispers as she wraps the tape around his ankles and wrists.

"You mean to you or in general?" I ask as I snatch Karen’s arm away and shove her into a chair opposite Kasi’s. "Generally speaking, Kasi, you know me. You know that this is what I do and I fucking love doing it. Now, how can I do it for you? I smile, grazing my knuckles on Karen’s cheek. She sniffles, trembling like a leaf and I make sure Kasi watches as I lodge an earth-shattering slap on her cheek, so hard that the sting reverberates in my hand.

He jerks in his chair and swears at me.

I clamp a hand on her face and she screams, tears flowing freely now on the side of her cheeks.

"Oh, Karen, baby, I’m sorry," I touch her chin as I tilt her face forward to me. My handprint is clear as day, red and angry on her cheek and her tears do well to glisten the mark. "We could make this easier, you know. I don’t want to have to hit you anymore. Just tell me where he is."

She looks at Kasi, confused and helpless. The poor lady doesn’t know anything, but that isn’t my concern. One way or the other, I’m going to get the information I want out of them. "Kasi?"

I follow her gaze and wait.

Kasi grits his teeth hard and shakes his head. "You’re fucking dead, Sasha."

"I’ve been dead all my life," I smirk and lash my hand out again, planting another slap of the same intensity on Karen’s already flaming cheek. Before she can be steady and regain her breath, I yank her hair and wrench her head backwards again. "He was at the alley, right? He helped Angelo?"

She sobs bitterly, trying to shake her head but my firm grip doesn’t let her. "I...I don’t know. I have no idea what you’re talking about."

The door swings open behind me and it takes me a microsecond to decide and pull the trigger on the alpha walking inside. The bullet catches his stomach as he stumbles forward on his knees then finally drops like a sack of potatoes.

Kasi cusses and his wife wails miserably.

It is Six. Another name on my list. Luckily for me, he is also Karen’s brother and likely the reason why Kasi was stalling. In vain the,y hoped what? That they could overpower me? Assholes.

"Maybe Six had more to say," I mutter in mock sympathy. I walk over to the spot where he is writhing on the floor, swearing at me. I ground my boot into the leaking hole in his stomach. "Where’s Angelo?"

Six screams and grabs on my ankle almost as though he is trying to dislodge it. I press the boot harder until he stops fighting and grunts a few syllables that when I string together, sound like he’s at the ’Magna’.

"He’s at the Magna?" I ask again just to confirm.

He nods and gasps helplessly. "Down at the bar."

"Were you at the alley too?" I ask, driving the heel of my boot into the wound again.

Six cries out. But not before he looks at Kasi. I know the answer already. He doesn’t have to confirm for me. I fire another round into his knee.

"Who else was there with you?" I ask again. Not because I don’t know the answer, but because I want confirmation of what I was getting from Miles. But he is too busy screaming to answer me.

"Useless," I grunt and spill his brains on the floor then turn to Kasi. "Who else was there?"

"Fuck you. Sasha." He yells. "Go to hell, you and that rooster of yours."

I nod and walk over to Karen. She slumped onto the table, sobbing in her arms. I grab the back of her neck and force her hard up again. She looks so worn out and doesn’t even flinch when I lift the gun and aim it at her head again.

Kasi swears at me again and again, wiggling to break free from the chair. I fire a round next to Karen’s ear and don’t wait for the barrel to cool before I ram it into her cheek and hold it there while her skin burns. Her screaming renews tenfold as she thrashes effortlessly in her chair, but my vice grip is too strong for her to escape.

With another grim smile, I turn to Kasi and slam Karen forward onto the table, pressing the barrel at the back of her head. "Who else was there?"

He seethes, his glance shifting between me and Karen. He seems like he is debating his choices and both Karen and I count on him to choose wisely.

"Avi," he finally says. "And Angelo"

"The three of you?"

"And Six." He nods repeatedly and fast. "Now let her go."

"Of course," I nod and pull the trigger. Blood and gore shoot beneath her face and her body falls, completely slack.

Kasi shouts long unintelligible cusses, howling insults while promising how he will revenge, and I look him in the eye.

"Tell me, Kasi. How does it feel?" I ask, cocking my head as I step closer to him.

"Angelo is going to bring you to your knees. You fucking―"

I don’t wait for him to finish when I raise my gun and shoot him in the head. I sling my bag over my shoulder and turn to head towards the door.

Two down. Two to go.
