"Get up!"

"You are the captain of the hunting team! You must get up!"

"A monkey demon in front of us, a pack of wolves behind us, we must do something!"

"Get up now!!"

These voices seem to come from a faraway place, noisy and chaotic, they pull at Zheng Qing’s nearly broken thoughts, preventing them from sinking further.

He forcefully reminisces, thinking about these familiar voices.

Seeming like a long time had passed, yet also in an instant.

Not far away on a small hill, two monkey demons are wielding large sticks, wantonly hitting the residual traces of magic on the hilltop, leaving ugly dirt pits, splashing out chunks of dirt.

Zheng Qing’s eyes darken, and he turns elsewhere.

More than a dozen Grey Wolf Demons, led by three big black wolves, pace at the foot of the hill, monitoring the two unexpected guests swinging their sticks. The remaining Wolf Demons are building a siege under the command of the White Wolf King, slowly tightening the encirclement from afar.

Zhang Ji Xin, Xin, and the double-headed Minotaur form a standard Triangle Defense Array, protecting Zheng Qing in the middle, tirelessly resisting the attacks from surrounding Wolf Demons. Even Zhang Ji Xin’s flying centipede is leaping around, attacking every demon that approaches.

With his thinking ability quickly returning, Zheng Qing feels his consciousness has become particularly clear.

"You’re hurt?" Zheng Qing looked at the red handkerchief and asked in a low voice: "What is the severity of the wound? Did you extract the poison?"

"Just a minor one. I’ve only been scratched by those wolf cubs a couple of times, I can still hold on a bit longer." Zhang Ji Xin shook his head, insisting: "Just what I needed for some excitement... waiting a bit longer is no problem."

Zheng Qing nodded, not saying anything else.

He is no longer a new entrant to the wizard world, no longer changes color at the thought of demon bites and scratches, no longer fearful like a tiger.

According to the Alliance’s ’Three-level Demon Damage Classification’ in the "Wizard World Encyclopedia," ordinary wild demon scratches or bites, and high-level demon scratches, belong to the first level of demon damage with very minor demon poison invasion, which can be completely dissolved through external medication, inner nourishment, and circulation of blood.

A bite from a wild demon king or a high-level demon belongs to the second level of demon damage. The wizard will suffer a moderate demon poison invasion under such an attack, but as long as they get treatment from a professional healer and properly recover, there will be no lingering effects.

"Oh, shit!" Fat Man suddenly swore loudly.

"What’s up?" After Zheng Qing shot out a few Fu Bullets with his slingshot, driving back several approaching wolf demons, he immediately looked up at the Blue Giant.

"More guys are coming from the outside," the Blue Giant grunted, swinging his wooden stick hard, "Do you have any teleportation spells? I think we should change our position."

Zheng Qing looked up toward the distance.

Even without the height of the Blue Giant, he quickly noticed some movement at the edge of the grass field.

The wolf demons scattered around the perimeter jumped out of their hideouts in the grass as if they had been startled, running towards the White Wolf King in a panic.

A few black-skinned pig demons, comparable in size to a small elephant, glared with red eyes, their huge white tusks on display. Snorting and charging around, they made the wolf demons look miserable.

Zheng Qing’s face grew uglier.

"Teleportation spells have a limited range and we do not know how many dormant demons are in the surrounding area," He paused before adding, "So it’s better to stay here for now... the eye of a storm is safer than its edge."

As he said, the arrival of the Monkey and Pig Demons had drawn most of the wolf demons’ attention to their competitors, relieving some of the pressure on the encircled young hunters.

These slightly intelligent demons were not stupid.

None of them would risk breaking a few good teeth to aid others.

"Chirp! Chirp!"

A shrill bird call came from above.

Zheng Qing abruptly looked up, just to see a flock of narrow-feathered, red-eyed, gray-feathered creatures hovering in midair, their wings flapping forcefully against Blue Fatty’s head.

It was a flock of Sparrow Demons.

They seemed to be a derivative of common sparrows, however, compared to the common sparrow, each Sparrow Demon was as big as a pigeon. Despite this, these fluttering creatures looked no different from flies in front of Blue Fatty.

They were the size of sesame seeds.

Just a little noisy.

Before Fatty could swat them away, a pink tongue shot out from the void, wrapping around a Sparrow Demon and yanking it back into a gaping mouth.

"Gurgling! Quack!"

A round, flower-skinned frog popped its head out from nowhere, greedily watching the flock of Sparrow Demons. But instantly, it was frightened by the strong demon energy around it. With a kick of its short legs, it swiftly retracted back into the void.

"Where did that flying frog come from?!" Blue Fatty scratched his head, not able to wrap his mind around it.

"Wolf struggles its whiskers, carries on its tail!"

A chanting of a spell abruptly came from the northwest direction, clearly reaching the ears of every member of the Absolution Hunting Team.
