Chapter 1652: Chapter 396: Black Prison Turns into Daylight

The world is a meticulous and complex system.

Every world is constructed from countless fixed rules, akin to a massive formula. Any change in these rules results in catastrophic shifts in the world, akin to mountains crumbling and heavens overturning, leading to dizzying consequences.

For instance, a butterfly flapping its wings twice in the South American rainforest might, months later, cause a hurricane to rise over the Pacific Ocean.

Or a blacksmith losing a nail might eventually lead to the King losing a war, a city being destroyed, countless people becoming displaced and some even dying.

These minute changes are already astonishing, let alone more profound, significant transformations.

The fire phoenix ascends in the east, and Ziz comes from the west.

Two red suns intertwine in the skies of the Black Prison World, casting billions of rays that banish the world’s darkness, causing daylight to return—yet these are only the surface changes.

The sun is the source of magic power for many worlds, its light and magic nurturing all things. The Black Prison World originally had no sun, marked by silence and desolation. When the two suns rose, deep within the earth, many once-dried Spiritual Eyes began to gurgle again, emitting chaotic strands of magic power.

The magic power flows slowly up through the withered earth veins, one strand, two strands, instinctively drifting out of the barren ground in anxiety, awakening the whole world from this sudden disturbance.

Beneath the dead old trees, amidst stacked stone arrays, along with the world’s awakening, breezes slowly passed by, representing the initial changes from the meeting of heat and cold. Breezes greeted one another, intertwining, swallowing each other in unknown, far-off corners, slowly growing.

Wind rises and clouds swell, clouds gather and rain falls.

When the first strands of rain descend from the sky, it’s not the prisoners exhausted by the Black Prison that are most ecstatic, but this thirsty world.

This world originally was slowly absorbing every strand of magic power from between heaven and earth, hanging by a breath, refusing to fall into the Ruins. When the two suns rose suddenly, the world hesitated for a moment, seemingly yet to regain clarity, but when the first drop of rain fell, it finally awoke and opened its greedy mouth, wantonly devouring the fragile magic power just birthed from the rules.

This devouring echoes in reality, causing the living creatures in the Black Prison to feel a sense of weakness. Weakness is not frightening; what’s frightening is the world absorbing your magic power, yet the solar magic power continues to spill down relentlessly.

Every life acts like a living relay station, continuously absorbing, converting, then returning the magic power to the world. The rapidly circulating spiritual machine nearly caused many foundationally weak wizards to fall into madness, while many prisoners failed to control their greed, absorbed too much magic power, and burst to death.

The pervasive magic power awakened the greedy world, along with many ancient creatures sleeping deep in the magma, and prisoners on the verge of dying.

Kilometers-long, even tens of kilometers-long Earth Dragons boldly stretched and moved.

Mountains once dead silent gushed hot magma again.

The whole world now feels more like an impending apocalypse than the previous stillness.

"Truly eye-opening."

William Tapott sat on the battlement, swinging his long legs, looking up at the fierce changes between heaven and earth, and sighed: "You can’t see such grand scenes at the Rhine River or the Alps."

The wall beneath him seemed to have transformed into a running rock ridge giant, shaking, and pulsing non-stop, sitting atop the wall like sitting on a small boat’s railing on a stormy sea.

But Mister Wolfman’s backside seemed to have thick glue applied, as the wall swayed, he remained seated firmly without any intention of falling.

"If you want to see grand scenes, you can go to the New World."

Milton Karen’s icy voice sounded behind Mister Wolfman: "The hunting team that pioneered the New World sees such grand scenes daily when clearing indigenous divine spirits."

William glanced back.

The Vampire Duke stood straight behind him, his wide cloak spotless, and the wine glass still in his hand, as if he were attending a ball.

The Wolfman Prince smirked, revealing a menacing smile.

"I don’t like grand scenes."

Silent Souls stepped forward two steps, stood between the wolfman and vampire, interrupting the impending clash of the naive Upper House members, shook his head, and interjected: "Compared to these unsettling changes, I prefer experimenting in the Dark Blue Castle..."

"Is it the latitude change experiment?"

The four tails behind Su Shijun swayed, she tilted her head, taking a glance at the ghostly Upper House member: "When the Trident Sword broke into the Dark Blue Castle last year, the scene wasn’t small... quite unsettling. Thanks to you, I just completed a cycle of dimension ascent experiments at school yesterday and received Danghag’s inquiry letter."

Silent Souls chuckled twice.

"Danghag loves overreacting the most," he dryly commented, raising his arm to press on the fiercely shaking wall, quickly changing the subject: "...I just hope the Divination Group has a comprehensive plan to deal with these changes."

Su Shijun turned back, looking at the main castle moving farther in the distance, paused in silence, then quietly responded: "They will... the school has certainly deduced how this world will change after the sun rises."

Two suns rise.

Changes in world rules.

The Black Prison Castle naturally cannot remain untouched.

The Protect Legal Formation founded on ’darkness’ became wood without roots and water without a source in the daytime, revealing enormous flaws. Though the magic shield barely endured the violent intrusion of magic power, it weakened to the extreme.

At this moment, should some Great Demon—or that Leviathan overhead—decide to extend a claw and grab strongly, the outer castle’s magic shield might shatter.

This is not the worst.

The earth dragon pursuing magic power caused the world’s tectonic plates to shift, leading to the sudden fragmentation of the tightly configured Black Prison Castle.

Between the outer castle and main castle appeared a ’Enclave’ with blood-red interspersed with mottled black.

The entire Enclave formed a triangular shape, like a wedge, driven heavily from the outside to the innermost part of the Black Prison Castle. At the wedge’s base was the massive hell equation; the wedge’s tip had already extended below the inner castle walls.

To use an inappropriate analogy, if the original Black Prison Castle were a circle, now this circle opened a ’big mouth,’ exposing its soft throat.

This ’Enclave’ is not alone; its position is just right, and it is the largest. Besides this Enclave, this ’circle’ has opened other dozen or so ’small mouths’ of various sizes.

The complete defense system of the Black Prison Castle was torn to shreds amidst the great upheaval of heaven and earth.
