Chapter 88: You Are My Antidote

Chapter 88: Chapter 88: You Are My Antidote

In the evening, when Yan Qianyi arrived at the nursing home, Dean Xu was waiting for her at the back door.

Dean Xu was a middle-aged woman, who managed the nursing home with her husband.

Both had a D-grade fertility, and they had no children.

But the couple were kind-hearted and took meticulous care of the elderly in the nursing home.

Seeing Yan Qianyi, Dean Xu looked embarrassed, "Little Divine Doctor, I’m really sorry to trouble you to make a special trip."

"It’s fine, take me to see Grandma Nangong."

"This way."

Dean Xu led the way.

Yan Qianyi asked, "Have those fans been causing you any trouble recently? If so, I can mention it in a live stream."

"It’s fine, aside from the reporters being somewhat annoying, most people who come to see you are quite sincere. There’s even some who..."

"What is it?"

"It’s nothing much, you should see Grandma Nangong first. If there’s time later, I’ll tell you more."

While speaking, Dean Xu had already brought Yan Qianyi to a room, "She’s staying in this one."

Dean Xu knocked on the door, and a caregiver quickly came to open it.

Seeing Yan Qianyi, the caregiver let out a sigh of relief.

"The Little Divine Doctor has finally arrived. Grandma Nangong has been lying there, not eating or drinking. I spoke to her but she didn’t respond. I was worried she was not doing well."

Turning back, she said to the inside: "Grandma Nangong, the Little Divine Doctor you asked us to find is here."

At the sound, the figure lying on the bed stirred slightly.

Yan Qianyi followed Dean Xu inside.

Suddenly, Grandma Nangong sat up, startling Dean Xu and the caregiver.

She said, "Everyone leave, except for the Little Divine Doctor."

Her imperious attitude and commanding tone seemed like those of someone used to giving orders in daily life.

Yan Qianyi nodded, "Dean Xu, you can go now."

She pulled a chair over to sit beside the bed, tilting her head slightly as she observed Grandma Nangong.

This elderly lady exuded an air of dignity and looked much younger than the other elderly residents.

She was well-maintained, her skin still soft and fair. She must come from a well-to-do family, so why was she staying alone in a nursing home?

Grandma Nangong was sizing her up too.

Their eyes met, and she felt there was something odd about this old lady.

Suddenly, Grandma Nangong gave her a slight smile.

Yan Qianyi wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she felt there was something sinister hidden behind Grandma Nangong’s smile, as if plotting something.

"Grandma Nangong, where do you feel uncomfortable?" Yan Qianyi asked first.

"My heart feels uncomfortable."

"Then I’ll take your pulse first."

Yan Qianyi extended her hand, gently placing it on Grandma Nangong’s wrist.

When she lifted her eyes after finishing the pulse, her gaze collided with that assessing look.

There was indeed something strange about the way this old lady looked at her...

"Don’t worry, Grandma Nangong, you don’t have any major health issues. It’s just that you’re feeling restless and irritable, which is why your heart is uncomfortable. Get a good night’s sleep, relax, and try not to think too much, and you’ll be fine."

"You really are amazing, Little Divine Doctor!"

Grandma Nangong suddenly grabbed Yan Qianyi’s hand affectionately, "I do have a heart ailment, and if it can’t be cured, I’m sure I won’t live long!"

"Don’t say that, emotional ailments need emotional remedies. As long as you relax, you’ll recover."

"No, no, no, it can’t be cured. Only you can make it better, you are the cure to my heart ailment!"

Yan Qianyi looked puzzled, "Me?"
