Chapter 131: Side Story: Kaelion And Hassan’s Love Story (Part 5)

That rough, calloused hand trembled as if even touching him was forbidden.

"Does my body... not make you want me?"

Don’t give me that look, Kaelion thought. I’m doing everything I can to seduce you.

This isn’t a game.

Can’t you see? You’re the only one I’ve ever kissed like this.

He’d played around plenty in the past—but never kissed.

His mother had always told him, "Your first kiss should be for someone special." That custom didn’t really exist in this world, but since he was young, he’d quietly treasured the idea.

Of course, Hassan probably didn’t understand that.

Still, Kaelion had given him something meaningful—something that mattered deeply to him.

"Hassan. Answer me."

"...Someone like me is far too unworthy."

"What makes you unworthy?"

"You’re the Crown Prince. I’m just a personal guard. For someone like me to lay hands on you—it’s too much..."

"Then what if I told you I would throw away the title of Crown Prince? Would you touch me then?"

"Don’t say such things!"

Hassan, flustered, grabbed Kaelion by the shoulders.

Kaelion looked up into his desperate expression—and smiled.

"The title of Crown Prince... In the end, it really is a worthless label, isn’t it?"

"Your Highness..."

"Those who don’t want this title flock to me, and those who do want me are held back by the weight of it. Can I not... reach out for someone simply as myself?"

That was a painful truth.

It was all so difficult—too painful—and now, absurd.

Kaelion hadn’t expected to be rejected like this.

It almost seemed laughable.

If that was how it was going to be... maybe he should just order Hassan.

Hassan would never disobey his command.

But if he did that, all that would follow was emptiness.

He knew that.

An ache would grow, hollow and consuming.

"So... things don’t go the way you want them to, huh," Kaelion muttered.

"Your Highness," Hassan said quietly.

"That’s enough.. You..can leave."

Age. Status. Those things got in the way.

Kaelion’s feelings alone weren’t enough.

If he gave an order, Hassan’s heart would disappear from the act.

Even if it felt good in the moment, it would eventually rot from within.

Maybe... he should just give up.

And yet Hassan didn’t move.

He stayed there, frozen, still gripping Kaelion’s shoulder.

"...What is it?" Kaelion asked.

"...I’ve always admired you," Hassan said, almost in a whisper.

"...What?"

Blushing deeply and looking utterly crushed, Hassan spoke words Kaelion hadn’t expected—not after being turned down just moments ago.

But the usually reserved man didn’t stop.

Embarrassed, awkward, but earnest, he went on, "I’ve... longed for you for so long. It was foolish, I knew that. I knew it was unworthy of me, given our positions and the difference in age. And yet... I felt joy—shameful joy—whenever you touched me. I know it’s disgraceful. As your personal guard, I shouldn’t have felt this way."

"How long... have you felt like this?" Kaelion asked.

"Since the day we met."

That would have made Kaelion around 150... and Hassan well over 200.

No wonder Hassan had thought himself a deviant back then.

Kaelion thought it should feel weird—but all he could feel was a growing warmth, something helplessly tender.

He actually smiled.

"To have such thoughts about someone so young... it made me ashamed of my own twisted desires," Hassan went on. "It made me realize... things about myself I didn’t want to know."

"Well, yes, you were a little bit of a creep back then," Kaelion chuckled.

"I’m so sorry!"

"But now," Kaelion said, voice low and steady, "we’re equals."

"Wh... What?"

Kaelion leaned in and kissed him again, brushing their lips together softly.

Honestly—wasn’t it ridiculous? And yet, Kaelion had seen something in Hassan—a quiet heat, restrained but real.

He hadn’t been sure.

The lack of response had made him hesitate.

But now? Now that he knew?

There was no doubt.

He wanted this man.

"Hassan," Kaelion said, "answer from your heart. Do you love me?"

"...Yes."

"Then there’s no problem. You’ll bear my child."

"Wha—?!"

Kaelion didn’t give him time to react.

He pulled Hassan down onto the bed and pinned him there.

Hassan, despite being a soldier, toppled easily beneath him.

Kaelion quickly straddled him and began unfastening the front of his clothes.

What was revealed beneath was a strong, well-toned body.

A broad chest, skin stretched over firm muscles, pulsing with a quickened heartbeat that Kaelion could feel under his palm.

"W-We shouldn’t... Your Highness—!" Hassan stammered.

"Don’t move," Kaelion commanded.

At the words, Hassan flinched—then withdrew his resisting hands.

He really was obedient.

Kaelion couldn’t help but think... that made everything so much easier.

Kaelion let his lips trail slowly along the contours of the trembling body beneath him, tracing the defined ridges with quiet reverence.

The body, so unaccustomed to such intimate touches, reacted far too innocently—twitching, shuddering, and flushing as though caught off guard by its own responses.

"How adorable... Hassan. You’ve no experience, do you?" Kaelion murmured with a soft chuckle.

"Th-that’s not—!" Hassan stammered.

"Have you never even imagined... being touched like this?" Kaelion asked, eyes glinting with mischief.

Hassan’s crimson eyes widened, then dropped, and he shook his head with a trembling motion—whether it was truth or pride, Kaelion couldn’t tell.

"Ah, perhaps it’s the opposite," Kaelion mused, leaning closer, voice dropping lower. "You’ve imagined me beneath you instead?"

"T-that’s absurd!" Hassan nearly yelped.

Kaelion smiled wryly. "Well, for the first time, indulge me. I wouldn’t mind bearing the child myself, but the firstborn must be of the Black Dragon bloodline. Anything else would be politically troublesome. After that, we can do as we like."

There were still responsibilities that came with the royal line.

If Kaelion were the one to carry Hassan’s child, the child would be of the Red Dragon lineage, which, while legitimate by blood, would create endless confusion should a Red Dragon heir sit as the crown prince of the Black Dragon throne.

"..."

"Hmm? What is it?" Kaelion asked.
