Qi Tian turned his head, just about to change direction to continue the search, when he saw a bright firework burst into the sky in the southwest direction of the island. It was the emergency signal agreed upon with Zhao Haiying and Liao Chongru; it was only allowed to be used in extremely dangerous situations. How much time had passed for Liao Chongru to encounter danger already? She was a cultivator of the Gold Core Realm Third Level, nearly invincible in the entire Great Zhao Nation. From a distance, Qi Tian saw Zhao Haiying rushing ahead of him to rescue Liao Chongru. He quietly let out a sigh of relief; with Zhao Haiying’s support, Liao Chongru should be safe.

Before long, Qi Tian caught up to where Zhao Haiying and Liao Chongru were. They had already landed on the ground, where a damaged array lay. Upon seeing Qi Tian approach, Liao Chongru said with some embarrassment, “Master, it’s all my fault. I sensed strong fluctuations of Spirit Force here, so I descended from the sky to take a closer look. Who knew I would accidentally trigger the array.”

Zhao Haiying said, “This array is formidable. If it weren’t for Liao Chongru shooting a signal flare before the array could completely trap her, she would have been doomed within.”

Qi Tian nodded. He walked around the broken array and discovered that it was an array he had never seen before. However, from what he deduced with his knowledge of arrays, it was as strong as Zhao Haiying had described. Trapping a cultivator without powerful means up to the Gold Core Realm Fourth or Fifth Level would not be a problem.

“It seems this island is more dangerous than we thought. Not to mention the entire island is cloaked by a Concealment Array, but there are also these strong arrays. The three of them stood above the sea outside the island, looked towards the island once more, and after a careful discussion, decided to fly together towards the highest peak on the island – that could be where they would find what they were looking for.

That peak wasn’t in the exact center of the island but rather towards the west. It was referred to as the highest peak, but in reality its elevation was only around one hundred meters – merely a small hill in the eyes of Qi Tian and his companions. That’s why they hadn’t made a deliberate effort to search in that area at the outset. After all, not every mountain is a Spiritual Mountain.

Their speed was quite rapid, and as the island wasn’t very large, it didn’t take long for Qi Tian and his companions to be not too far from the mountain, less than ten miles away.

Just then, Zhao Haiying, who was flying in front, noticed something flash on the mountain. Following that, he got the chilling feeling as though he had been locked onto by some terrifying entity.
