Chapter 711: Chapter 0451 – No Difference from Seeking Death_2 Chapter 711: Chapter 0451 – No Difference from Seeking Death_2 At this moment, Liang Yuqi walked into the cabin, and Qi Tian promptly paid his respect to her. He held his fists together and said, “Elder.”
Liang Yuqi glanced at Qi Tian and said, “You’ve performed well earlier, quite composed. Your accurate maneuver saved everyone, I wish to reward you.”
“Elder, I didn’t really do much. There’s no need for a reward,” Qi Tian politely declined.
Liang Yuqi said, “When I say you deserve a reward, you get a reward. Are you afraid I can’t afford it?”
Qi Tian repeatedly expressed his humility, but Liang Yuqi did not bicker further with Qi Tian. She waved her hand and said, “Alright, stand over there. Watch how I control the flying sailboat. This is the reward I’m offering you. When you get your own sailboat in the future, you won’t need special training.”
Qi Tian found piloting a flying sailboat quite interesting. Since Liang Yuqi insisted on teaching him the craft, he decided to learn.
Liang Yuqi stood before the main control panel, pointing at the array formations on it and began to explain to Qi Tian. Although there were no steering wheels or compasses inside the cabin, the roles of these array formations were by no means inferior, they were even superior in many ways.
There weren’t many Array formations inside the cabin. Liang Yuqi explained them in just a few sentences. According to her, controlling a flying sailboat was quite simple. To alter the speed of the sailboat, one simply had to insert the Speed Anchor into different Speed Arrays. The numerous arrays on the main control panel were incomplete. The Speed Anchor completed the missing portion when inserted into the slot of the array, allowing the array to function fully, thereby achieving the purpose the array represents.
When Liang Yuqi finished, Qi Tian watched her eagerly, waiting for her to continue explaining, but she stopped there.
“Elder, is this the end of your explanation?” Qi Tian asked.
Liang Yuqi replied, “Of course, is there anything you’re not satisfied with?”
Qi Tian said, “There are many things I still don’t understand. For example, where does the power of the flying sailboat and these Array formations come from? And how does the sailboat navigate accurately to its destination and autopilot when uncontrolled?”
Qi Tian was inquiring about the core secrets of the flying sailboat, to which Liang Yuqi responded, “Qi Tian, you don’t think you’ll access these secrets because of the merits you’ve earned, do you? That would be unfair to others. If you want to know these, you can, but you’ll have to earn more merits.”
Qi Tian could only smile bitterly. He knew that Liang Yuqi wouldn’t easily give him too many rewards. As expected, he bowed to Liang Yuqi and said, “If that’s the case, I will take my leave then.”
Liang Yuqi waved her hand and said, “Alright, you may leave.”
Qi Tian emerged from the cabin, seeing Wan Xiaolan once again holding the Thousand Miles Mirror, looking behind them. Almost instinctively, Qi Tian used the Heavenly Dao Engine’s function of sensing Spirit Qi to probe the situation behind their flying sailboat.
The Heavenly Dao Engine smoothly detected the condition of the three sailboats behind them, which were still within their sensing range. However, compared to earlier, their distance from Qi Tian’s sailboat had significantly increased, and they were temporarily safe. Still, Qi Tian also noticed that the sailboats behind them were picking up speed, closing in on their previous speed again.
Qi Tian was filled with apprehension. They were far from safe. If they couldn’t shake off the sailboats behind them, they might catch up again and launch another attack.
Qi Tian approached Wan Xiaolan and asked, “Senior, when will we reach our destination?”
Wan Xiaolan turned to look at Qi Tian, noticing the worry on his face, and comforted him, “Are you still afraid of the attack just now? Don’t worry, we will soon enter the Fog Sea. Elder Liang is very familiar with the conditions in the Fog Sea. She will definitely give those pursuing us a good lesson. Just wait and see.”
Qi Tian didn’t understand why Wan Xiaolan was so confident. He didn’t want to question further and just asked, “Senior, do I assist you in keeping watch for the enemy?”
Wan Xiaolan waved his hand and declared, “No need, we’re about to enter the Fog Sea. Just wait and watch.”
As he spoke, Wan Xiaolan suddenly saw a huge shadow glide past the side of the ship. Despite the dense fog obstructing their view, they could clearly see the shadow.
Wan Xiaolan smirked, his expression turning somewhat frigid as he shouted, “Don’t blame me for not warning you, quickly find a way to secure yourselves to the sailboat. Coming up next, you will experience something truly thrilling.”
No one understood what Wan Xiaolan meant, but since he had issued a warning, they all took it seriously. They quickly found ways to secure themselves to the sailboat. Qi Tian was no exception; he, too, acted along with the other cultivators at the Foundation Establishment Stage and fastened himself to the sailboat. Just as they finished, they felt the sailboat suddenly accelerated. If the previous speed was like riding a bicycle, the current speed had promoted to riding a motorcycle, comparable to the recklessly racing ones on the racetrack.
Total pandemonium ensued as violent winds whizzed past their ears. The thick fog turned into streaks of white lines that crisscrossed before their eyes. Several Foundation Establishment Stage cultivators turned pale; they had just witnessed the sailboat speeding directly into the mountains. Navigating such a large vessel through such terrain at high speed was akin to courting death.
Perhaps Wan Xiaolan and Liang Yuqi, as Gold Core Realm experts, didn’t need to worry about dying from a collision. But cultivators of the Foundation Establishment Stage like them, even if they survived a crash, they would be gravely injured. In such an environment where visibility was obstructed and Divine Sense couldn’t be deployed, serious injuries were basically a death sentence. They wouldn’t be able to find a way out.
Qi Tian was also worried, but not about dying in a collision. He had plenty of life-saving techniques, and he didn’t worry about getting injured. His concern was about not being able to deploy his life-saving techniques if a collision occurred. Therefore, he once again activated the Heavenly Dao Engine’s function to sense Spirit Qi, keeping an eye on the sailboat and its surroundings to take preemptive defensive action if a collision seemed imminent.
Soon after, Qi Tian was surprised. Based on the three-dimensional image feedback from the Heavenly Dao Engine, he noticed that he was unable to detect the mountains around the sailboat. There were only two things around the sailboat: endless thick fog everywhere around them, including above and below. The mountains had disappeared. The area was indeed like a sea of fog, with nothing else except for the dense fog. The second entity was the consistently trailing flying sailboats. All three of them, not one missing, and their distance from Qi Tian’s sailboat had not widened but instead seemed to have shortened after entering the Fog Sea.
It seemed the three sailboats behind knew they had entered the Fog Sea, dispelling any previous reservations. They began to accelerate fully, intending to catch up with Liang Yuqi and the others with full force.
