Chapter 684: Chapter 0438: Teleportation Gate Chapter 684: Chapter 0438: Teleportation Gate Chapter 0438 – Teleportation Gate

Qi Tian could not possibly waste a significant amount of time here; he had many other things to do. Especially now, deposing the current Crown Prince and supporting Prince Zhao as the new Crown Prince was an issue he must solve.

Qi Tian planned to spend one or two days performing some verification and experiments on these lines on the ground. If time ran out and he still could not unveil the secrets of these lines, then he would have to temporarily leave the County Master Mansion and delegate the task to Gao Jinmei or Jin Jin, who could continue the research and experiments. After he had sorted out the issues of the Great Zhao Nation, he could return here to continue unraveling the secrets of the lines.

When Qi Tian shared his plans with Gao Jinmei and Jin Jin, they both agreed without any objections. Though both of them were formidable Gold Core cultivators, they had never encountered a situation like this before. The lines crisscrossed and intertwined, forming the characters that Qi Tian mentioned, but they seemed to hold no significant meaning. However, unable to offer more valuable advice, they decided to follow Qi Tian’s lead for the time being.

Qi Tian, Gao Jinmei, and Jin Jin joined hands and quickly constructed a magic array outside the house. Once activated, a pitch-black Defensive Barrier instantly formed, enveloping the house entirely.

Inside the Defensive Barrier, they found themselves engulfed by absolute darkness, as the barrier had isolated all external light. It was so dark that they could not even see their own hands.

While Qi Tian remained inside the house, Gao Jinmei and Jin Jin were on the roof. Gao Jinmei held in her hand a disc-shaped stone called Moonlight Stone. It was said to be a stone gathered by an Ancient Great Master from the moon in the sky, and through careful refinement, it became the Moonlight Stone.

The Moonlight Stone only emitted light, a gentle glow similar to that of the moon, making it an excellent treasure for cultivators who practice Yin attributes.

In the past, Qi Tian had spent a huge amount of spirit stones on purchasing Moonlight Stones and other items when he was in Wanjie City. Now, in order to verify whether the moonlight had any effect on these lines, he decided to use them all.

“I am ready. Let’s begin,” shouted Qi Tian from inside the house.

Gao Jinmei activated her power and lifted the Moonlight Stone off her palm and let it float in the air, while Jin Jin cast spirit runes on it, controlling its brightness on the side.

The light emitted from the Moonlight Stone illuminated the roof and a portion of it penetrated through a hole in the roof and reached inside the house, forming a beam of light. Gao Jinmei constantly adjusted the position of the Moonlight Stone so that the “moonlight” entering the house could shine directly upon the lines on the ground.

Regrettably, when the moonlight shone upon the lines, there was no response. Under Qi Tian’s instructions, Jin Jin continuously adjusted the brightness and intensity of the moonlight, hoping to elicit a response from the lines on the ground, but there was no effect.

The process was very time-consuming; five to six hours had passed by the time they finished the experiment. Thankfully, all three of them were cultivators and were not lacking in patience.

Qi Tian frowned; could it be that he made a mistake in reading the signs? Could these lines on the ground be meaningless doodles accidentally left by Fan Tie while doing something else?

Upon contemplation, Qi Tian took out the ring he had with him. He had initially wanted to recheck the text on the ring, but when he took the ring out, he noticed a faint shimmer on it. At that moment, he held not a ring, but a shard of glass.

Struck with an insight, Qi Tian quickly instructed Gao Jinmei and Jin Jin to project the moonlight back into the house from the roof. He then positioned the ring in the moonlight and adjusted its angle. Qi Tian worked carefully and patiently. After over an hour of adjusting, a brilliant light suddenly flew out from the ring, reflected onto a wall, and formed a projection. The projection was not only pure white light but also contained distinct characters.

Not only was Qi Tian exhilarated by the spectacle, but even Gao Jinmei and Jin Jin on the roof also found it hard to believe their eyes. They were both formidable Gold Core cultivators who had seen many bizarre things and thought that hardly anything was able to surprise them anymore. Yet, they now found themselves in a situation that did just that.

Having understood the function of the ring, Qi Tian immediately had Gao Jinmei and Jin Jin on the roof adjust the position of the Moonlight Stone. He then adjusted the position of the ring according to how the moonlight entered the house through the hole in the roof. He made sure the light reflected off the ring landed precisely on the lines on the ground.

As soon as they got everything positioned correctly, the lines that were previously etched onto the ground raised into the air. Instantaneously, they formed a complicated cluster of threads of light in mid-air.

Qi Tian and Gao Jinmei continued to adjust the positions of the Moonlight Stone and the ring. When Qi Tian adjusted the first character on the ring to fall onto the cluster of threads, some threads detached from the cluster and arranged themselves in an orderly pattern below. When Qi Tian adjusted the ring for the second character to fall on the cluster, more threads detached from it and integrated into the three-dimensional pattern below…
