Chapter 483: Chapter 0336: My Luck and Destiny are Enormous_2 Chapter 483: Chapter 0336: My Luck and Destiny are Enormous_2 Upon hearing that, Qi Tian understood immediately. He took out a total of thirty thousand low-grade spirit stones to buy a teleportation suit and put it on. The material of the suit looked like some sort of silk, with a large amount of symbols engraved on it. Qi Tian had a deep understanding of symbols by now. However, he was surprised to find that he recognized none of these symbols. If it wasn’t for the fact that he could sense a substantial amount of Spirit Qi in each symbol through the Heavenly Dao Engine, he would have almost thought that the teleportation masters were trying to deceive him and take his money.
After putting on the teleportation suit, Qi Tian stood on the Teleportation Array in the Teleportation Plaza, stated his target coordinates, and paid the teleportation fee. The teleportation master then activated the Teleportation Array.
Immediately, a brilliant light shot up from the Teleportation Array. Once the light faded, Qi Tian had disappeared.
In a field unknown tens of thousands of miles away from Wanjie City, a light suddenly fell from the sky. When the light dispersed, Qi Tian appeared in the field.
Qi Tian checked his hands and feet—everything was normal. The True Essence in his meridians flowed smoothly, with no issues. He checked his teleportation suit again and found that the surface of the suit seemed fine, but a lot of Spirit Qi had been lost from many of the symbols. It was uncertain whether it could be used again next time.
Qi Tian took off the teleportation suit and stored it away, then flew into the air to look around. He vaguely saw extensive farmland about dozens of miles to the south and decided to check it out. He landed back on the ground, released Hu Niu from the Spirit Beast Bracelet, hopped onto Hu Niu’s back in one leap, quickly discerned the direction, and urged Hu Niu to run southward.
Although flying with a flying sword was faster and more convenient than riding Hu Niu, it wouldn’t achieve the purpose of training Hu Niu. So unless it was a special situation, Qi Tian preferred to use Hu Niu as his mount since he was not in a particular hurry.
The hazy Spirit Qi in the air here was akin to what Qi Tian was familiar with in the Cultivation World of Great Zhao. As there were no people in sight where he had landed, Qi Tian couldn’t determine where he had teleported to. But according to what the teleportation master had told him—that the error wouldn’t exceed ten thousand miles—he assumed that even if he wasn’t within Great Zhao’s territory, he shouldn’t be too far away from the Cultivation World of Great Zhao.
The place Qi Tian ended up in was a wilderness with sporadic trees and wild grass. He had never experienced such a scene before and knew that within these trees and wild grass, there might lurk beasts such as wolves and boars. It would indeed be adventurous for an ordinary person to pass through here. But how could Qi Tian possibly be afraid of these? Hu Niu alone, not to mention his own strength, was enough to deal with these beasts.
Perhaps it was because Hu Niu’s aura was too strong, but on the way, Qi Tian did not encounter any beasts, although quite a few birds were scared into taking flight.
Hu Niu was very fast, and before long, she brought Qi Tian to the place that looked like farmland.
He dismounted from Hu Niu and examined the area. This was indeed farmland with crisscrossing paths and rows of crops, a landscape that could only be created by intelligent beings such as humans through hard work. But the farmland seemed somewhat deserted, with harmful weeds growing more luxuriantly than the crops.
Qi Tian furrowed his brows. He flew into the air again, looking around. Before long, he saw a village about ten miles to the west. He quickly rode Hu Niu towards the village.
Logically speaking, the deserted state of the farmland he had just seen could be attributed to its distance from the village—the villagers might have neglected it. But as Qi Tian neared the village, he saw that the farmland by the road was still deserted. It didn’t seem to be better tended because it was closer to the village. In the fields, there was still a prevalence of tall weeds that were taller than a half person.
Qi Tian had Hu Niu increase her speed. Hu Niu roared, quickened her pace, and their speed soared. Riding on her felt like flying. Before long, Qi Tian came to the entrance of the village. Standing there and looking into the village, he couldn’t see a single person. Nor could he hear dogs barking or see chickens and ducks milling about. The entire village was permeated with a peculiar eeriness that couldn’t be described.
Qi Tian immediately activated the sensing feature of the Heavenly Dao Engine, covering the entire village in an instant. He noticed right away that the village was not unpopulated. But in this village that was about two to three miles in length and width, there were only a few villagers, and their life energy was alarmingly weak—as if they could die at any moment.
Following the map given to him by the Heavenly Dao Engine, Qi Tian quickly found one of the people. This man was laying in a house with no roof, the doors were missing as well, and there was no furniture. The poor man was laying in a pit, his clothes tattered, his leg was gone, flies buzzing around him and he reeked with a nauseating odor.
Qi Tian waved his hand, and with a surge of True Essence, all the flies were killed. Qi Tian stepped forward, took out a pill, diluted it with water, pried open the man’s mouth, and fed it to him.
For Qi Tian, this pill was of no use, but for this dying mortal, it was nothing less than a miracle, showing immediate effects. Soon after, the man exhaled a long, turbid breath, and his eyes opened.
“Did you save me?” The man looked at Qi Tian and asked.
Qi Tian was startled. This man was speaking the language of Great Zhao which was somewhat unexpected. He had thought that this time he would be teleported outside the territory of Great Zhao, surprisingly, he was within the country.
The man thought that Qi Tian didn’t understand his words and repeated them with great difficulty.
Qi Tian hurriedly nodded, saying, “Yes, I saved you.”
The man sighed, “Why did you trouble yourself to save me? Why did you not let me die and spare me from the suffering in this world?”
Qi Tian asked, “A bad life is better than a good death. Tell me, what happened to your village? And why are you in this state?”
“Young man, since you saved me, I advise you not to ask too many questions. Leave this village quickly. If you stay, disaster will surely strike. By then, it will be too late to escape.” The man sincerely advised.
Qi Tian chuckled. In Wanjie City, he may have had to be careful, but in the Cultivation World of Great Zhao, there are only a few people who can give him trouble. Those that can, wouldn’t easily offend him, considering his status as the Imperial Master Mansion’s Acting County Teacher.
“Not to worry, I’ve always been lucky. So, please do tell me about your sufferings, maybe I can help you.” In order to win the villager’s trust, Qi Tian stretched out his hand, concentrated, and a surge of fire appeared in the palm of his hand.
Upon seeing Qi Tian’s demonstration, the villager immediately realized he was in the presence of a legendary immortal master. Hurriedly, he crawled along the kang, even with only one leg, to kneel in front of Qi Tian, “Please save us, immortal master. Save everyone in our village.”
Qi Tian quickly helped the villager to his feet and asked, “What exactly happened? Explain to me.”
The villager then narrated the incident to Qi Tian. It was simple, a gang stormed into their village a little over a month ago and rounded up everyone—men, women, elderly, and children. They herded them like cattle to about a hundred miles north of the village to mine a specific type of stone. Additionally, they were forced to help in constructing a fort. Every single piece of building material from several nearby villages was confiscated by these offenders.
