Chapter 1633: Chapter 0963: The Surplus Value Has Not Yet Been Fully Exploited by Him Chapter 1633: Chapter 0963: The Surplus Value Has Not Yet Been Fully Exploited by Him Chapter 0963: His Worth Isn’t Fully Drained Yet

The male cultivator didn’t realize that the moment his speed declined, Qi Tian had already become aware. Qi Tian immediately used the Heavenly Dao Engine to conduct the most thorough exploration of the surroundings in all directions—east, west, north, south, the sky above, and the ground below. He left no stone unturned, and swiftly, Qi Tian confirmed that this region was safe, with none of the hidden dangers he was concerned about.

Qi Tian instantly drove his flying sword, enhancing his speed, and pounced towards the male cultivator.

The male cultivator was still unaware that danger was imminent. Buried in guiding his flying sword through the air, he was searching for a suitable landing spot until he was very close to Qi Tian. Only then did he hear the whooshing sound of Qi Tian flying and was startled. Turning his head to look, he at last spotted Qi Tian, but by then, it was already too late.

The male cultivator realized he had been toyed with by Qi Tian, and by the time he thought to escape, it was too late. The speed at which Qi Tian was flying had clearly surpassed the maximum speed of his flying sword, making escape very unrealistic. Moreover, in his attempt to shake off Qi Tian’s pursuit, he had already expended a significant amount of his potential energy. To use it again could likely injure his foundation, a risk not worth taking.

A fierce gleam flashed in the male cultivator’s eyes as he slapped his Storage Bag, and a steel knife appeared in his hand. This knife, different from the one he’d used to slice the Bee King’s tail needle, was of a higher quality, more superior. It was a treasure he had obtained during an adventure in a secret realm, a weapon once used by a preceding Great Master. Once wielded, it could grant incredible combat power. He had once used this treasured blade to fight a Nascent Soul Master and had managed to hold his own for several exchanges. In his view, no matter how impressive Qi Tian’s speed was, he was merely at the peak of the Gold Core Realm and couldn’t possibly compare to the combat strength of a Nascent Soul Master. With such a treasured blade in hand, slaying Qi Tian wouldn’t be difficult.

Qi Tian had no intention to entangle himself in a drawn-out fight with the male cultivator. Through the Heavenly Dao Engine, he had already dug up most of the secrets of this male cultivator, knew that he possessed many treasures. If he were to engage in a protracted battle, there would indeed be much to fight over. What’s more, during the fight, it was highly likely that many of the male cultivator’s treasures could be damaged, significantly cutting into Qi Tian’s potential gains, an outcome that was far from cost-effective.

Moved by a thought, Qi Tian immediately issued an order to the Transporting Whirlwind and the Ghastly Face that were following him closely. The Transporting Whirlwind, engulfing the Ghastly Face, rushed towards the male cultivator ahead of Qi Tian.

Apart from Qi Tian, no one else could sense the presence of the Transporting Whirlwind unless it touched them. Otherwise, whether they used their eyes or Divine Sense, they would be unable to detect it.

Before Qi Tian could get close to the male cultivator, the Transporting Whirlwind, taking the lead, carried the Ghastly Face into the fray, found the right angle, and tossed the Ghastly Face out. The Ghastly Face suddenly appeared behind the male cultivator and lunged at him.

The Ghastly Face, deployed by Qi Tian, possessed the strength of the Nascent Soul Stage and immediately used a killing move, intending to leave the male cultivator with no chance to counter.

The Ghastly Face was incredibly fast, and with strength that overwhelmed the male cultivator, it surged up next to him, first releasing a brain-piercing ghostly shriek, then barreling into the male cultivator.

The Ghastly Face’s specialty wasn’t combat, but rather assaulting the spiritual strength or souls of enemies directly. Its shriek, hitting the male cultivator’s ears, was akin to the grating sound of fingernails scraping on glass, causing his head to throb almost to the point of bursting, and his mind to become dazed.

Seizing the opportunity, the Ghastly Face slammed into the male cultivator’s back. It was so rapid that the male cultivator’s protective talismans hadn’t even managed to activate automatically before the Ghastly Face crashed into them.

The male cultivator screamed miserably as he lost his footing and tumbled off his flying sword, uncontrollably plunging towards the ground.

The Ghastly Face clung to the male cultivator’s back, continuously launching direct attacks on his soul, not giving him any chance to turn around.

Soon, the male cultivator crashed heavily onto the ground. At that moment, his protective talisman activated, erecting a shield that spared him from being killed on impact. However, the height from which he fell was significant. Though he hadn’t died, the fall left him disoriented and woozy. Additionally, with the Ghastly Face’s relentless spiritual attacks, his mind fell into chaos, leaving him as if stupefied, sluggish in response and confused, not knowing what to do.

It was then that the Transporting Whirlwind arrived.

The Transporting Whirlwind hadn’t come alone; it was carrying a flying sword. This sword was none other than the one the male cultivator was proud of, notable for its speed. When he’d fallen from the flying sword, the Transporting Whirlwind had set its sights on it. It didn’t care whether the sword was willing or not; it engulfed the sword completely, denying it any chance to struggle or flee.

Now, the Transporting Whirlwind, with that flying sword in tow, had no intention of returning the sword to its master. Under its oppressive control, the sword pointed its tip at the male cultivator’s neck. Despite the sword’s struggle, it pierced through the protective shield that the male cultivator had propped up, and with a single thrust, it penetrated his neck, decapitating him.
