Chapter 1630 - 1630 0961 Grandmas Going All Out with You_2

Chapter 1630: Chapter 0961: Grandma’s Going All Out with You_2 Chapter 1630: Chapter 0961: Grandma’s Going All Out with You_2 Gao Yuqiu had no idea that Qi Tian still had so many tactics unutilized. She knew Qi Tian was formidable, but she didn’t think he could handle so many Tiger Baby Bees for long. Compelled by this, she hastened her attack on the Bee Queen, resolving to alleviate Qi Tian’s burden as quickly as possible. Otherwise, as the strongest combatant in the team, if Qi Tian were injured, their fighting power would inevitably be weakened. Then, even if she managed to secure the Infant Fruit, she might not ultimately be victorious.

At the moment, the Bee Queen was besieging another team member alongside other Tiger Baby Bees. This member was already in a pitiful state. How had Xiu Zhengyu just been stung by the Bee Queen? She had seen it clearly and definitely did not want to end up in a worse state than Xiu Zhengyu. The Bee Queen was extremely malicious, specifically targeting people’s eyes. If the Bee Queen managed to sting her, death would surely be instantaneous. To survive, she utilized her last-resort tactics, slapped various Protection Talismans on herself like money was no object, and built layer upon layer of defense. Yet, even so, she still couldn’t gain the upper hand and defeat under the Bee Queen’s oppression was only a matter of time without support from others.

Just then, Gao Yuqiu flew over. Even at that moment, she felt trepidation as she had admitted she was not adept in combat and the ghastly appearance of the Bee Queen alone made her heart quiver. But for the sake of the Infant Fruit, she had to suppress her fear of the Bee Queen and make a move.

Of course, Gao Yuqiu couldn’t personally charge to fight the Bee Queen in close combat; she lacked both the skill and the courage. Instead, she took out a magical artifact given to her by her master—a hairpin. She formed a Spirit Rune with her hands, and the hairpin, rising from her grip, hurled towards the Bee Queen like a sharp sword.

The Bee Queen’s pair of eyes, larger than fists, had already seen everything. It buzzed its wings, emitting a series of deep hums. Before the hairpin could strike, it dodged in mid-air with a swift flicker and lunged at Gao Yuqiu at top speed.

Gao Yuqiu, terrified, turned around and bolted. The Bee Queen relentlessly pursued her. In its huge compound eyes gleamed a chilly gleam, waiting only to catch up to Gao Yuqiu and then viciously thrust its steel-piercing stinger into her eyes, intending to kill her on the spot.

But before the Tiger Baby Bees could catch Gao Yuqiu, the very same hairpin they had missed earlier turned back and pursued the Bee Queen with even greater speed.

The Bee Queen reacted quickly, but the hairpin was a treasure bestowed by a Nascent Soul Master to Gao Yuqiu. The Bee Queen, though formidable, was not yet able to rival a treasure granted by a Nascent Soul Master.

In the blink of an eye, the hairpin caught up and pierced directly through the Bee Queen’s back, burrowing into its body. Then, the hairpin adjusted its direction inside the Bee Queen, piercing through and exiting from the top of its head.

With its head impaled, the Bee Queen, unwilling to succumb, quickly lost the light in its eyes. The wings that always produced deep, oppressive sounds ceased to flutter. Its body, as if weighed down by lead, quickly sank and a moment later crashed heavily onto the ground, motionless and apparently lifeless.

Gao Yuqiu breathed a sigh of relief, summoned the hairpin back, and then flew towards the Infant Fruit Tree. Now that the Bee Queen was vanquished, no more Tiger Baby Bees would emerge from the nest guarding the Infant Fruit Tree. The tree was completely unprotected, exposed to everyone’s view.

Gao Yuqiu’s eyes blazed with intensity. Soon, she would be able to pick the Infant Fruit herself, seizing the opportunity to advance to the Nascent Soul Stage—their first since entering the mystical realm.

Just as victory seemed within reach, a faint wave of Spirit Force suddenly propagated through the air. Gao Yuqiu paid it no mind; similar fluctuations had occurred several times recently, each passing without incident.

Once or twice, she might have remained alert, but the frequency had dulled her senses. When this wave of Spirit Force manifested, she paid no attention, her eyes fixed solely on the Infant Fruit hanging high on the tree.

“Sir, be careful.”

Qi Tian’s voice timely resonated in Gao Yuqiu’s ear.

Yuqiu was startled; she instantly remembered Qi Tian’s warning to her just earlier — could someone indeed be trying to steal her peaches at this moment?

Yuqiu’s gaze swept across the area, slightly deviating from the Infant Fruit before she suddenly saw a man, who had emerged out of nowhere in the sky. He was riding a flying sword in a dive-bombing posture, descending at high speed like an arrow released from its bow, heading straight for the Infant Fruit.

Seeing this scene, Yuqiu was enraged. She had not expected that, just as Qi Tian had warned, someone would actually jump out to snatch her peaches when the Infant Fruit was within easy reach.

The man was closer to the Infant Fruit than she was, and he was diving, moving faster and clearly about to reach the Infant Fruit Tree before her. She feared that, before she could even reach the tree, the man would have already stolen the Infant Fruit.

Yuqiu felt as if she had ascended to heaven and entered Nirvana. She desperately propelled her flying sword, exerting all her strength, and at the same time, she recharged the hairpin that had killed the bee queen with True Essence and threw it in the direction she anticipated.

The hairpin flew, cutting through the void and stabbing toward the man.

The man’s mouth curled into a cold smirk. He had witnessed the entire battle and did not consider the hairpin a threat. A gleam of cold light flashed in his hand, and a treasured blade appeared, with which he struck the approaching hairpin.

He obviously exhibited more adeptness in combat than Yuqiu. His strike was both fast and accurate, perfectly hitting the hairpin and sending it flying away.

However, the man also struggled, as the hairpin, being a treasure bestowed by a Nascent Soul Master, contained staggering force. After deflecting it, he felt his hand trembling uncontrollably, nearly unable to hold onto his blade.

Without considering these details, he further accelerated his descent. In an instant, he had outpaced Yuqiu, reached out, and grabbed the branch bearing the Infant Fruit. Then, with his blade, he chopped off the branch, securing both the Infant Fruit and the branch.

Yuqiu felt her blood rushing to her head, nearly driving her insane. After her team had paid such a heavy price and was about to seize the opportunity, someone had stolen their prize. How could she tolerate this?

“You cur, I’ll stake everything against you,” she shouted.

Yuqiu’s eyes were red, and her voice broke as she spoke.

The man merely gave a cold laugh. Being the final victor, he certainly would not linger to tangle further with Yuqiu. Commanding his flying sword, he turned around to flee.

But just then, a whistling sound suddenly came from the ground, indicating that something had shot up from it.

Both Yuqiu and the man inwardly exclaimed, “This is bad!” But before they could react, the whistling sound had already reached them.
